Getting Familiar with WIC-960S

Operations Switch on Camera

1. Press and hold on the power switch for about 3 seconds to turn on the camera, the power indicator will illuminate and the LCD will become viewable.

2. When in use, the tube should easily maneuver itself into position. Do not apply excessive force.

3. The flexible tube can be bent into numerous shapes that may help you explore areas you otherwise thought were impossible to see

4. The accessories included with the WIC-960S can be used to retrieve small items like dropped rings or screws.

Mirror Image In real-time monitoring mode, the mirror image can be adjusted by pressing the button.

LEDs Brightness Control The 8 levels of LED brightness can be adjusted by pressing the or button in real-time monitoring or recording video mode.

General Safety Information WARNING! Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electronic shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

*Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!

Prevent object and liquid entry. Never spill liquid of any kind on the video display unit. Liquid increases the risk of electrical shock and damage to the product.

The unit is not shock-resistant. Do not use WIC-960S as a hammer and avoid high impact resultant from things such as dropping the unit from height.

Do not immerse camera handle or LCD screen in water. Avoid moisture, and store product in a dry place. Such measures reduce the risk of electric shock and damage. The lens and the tube are water resistant when the unit is fully assembled, but the LCD screen and handle are not.

Do not use the camera if condensation forms inside the lens. Let the water evaporate before using again.

Turn off the system if it is not in use.

Attention should be given to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

Remove the batteries before storing the unit for a long time.

When necessary, REPLACE ALL FOUR (4) BATTERIES in this unit with new ones, not one (1) or two (2) batteries at a time.

Use only the size and type of battery specified.

Be sure to install the battery with the correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.

Properly dispose of batteries. Exposure to high temperatures can cause batteries to explode, so do not dispose of in a fire. Place tape over the terminals to prevent direct contact with other objects.

Some countries have regulations concerning battery disposal. Please follow all applicable regulations.

Installation Install Batteries 1. Remove the battery cover.

2. Insert four (4) new AA batteries into the appropriate slots. Proper battery orientation is indicated on the battery compartment.

3.Replace battery cover.

Install the Camera with Flexible Tube When connecting the camera tube to the handheld unit, make sure that the keyed ends are properly aligned. Once they are lined up, finger tighten the knob to hold the connector in place.

To Insert SD Card:

After SD card is inserted into SD card slot successfully, an SD card icon will appear on the LCD screen; otherwise, the no SD card icon will show.

Install the Accessories The three (3) included accessories (mirror, hook and magnet) are all attached to the tube in the same way as illustrated below: Place hook into hole at end of tube. Place rubber ring around camera head and hook.

3. Press or button to select between YES and NO, that is to format or cancel. Once you have highlighted your selection, press the OK button.

Default Setup

1. In the setting mode, press or button to select SYSTEM SETTING, and then press OK button.

2. Press or button to select DEFAULT SETUP, and then press OK button.

3. Press or button to select between YES and NO, that is to restore default or cancel to confirm and press the MENU button to exit. Press the OK button.

View Version Information

1. In the setting mode, press or button to select SYSTEM SETTING, and then press OK button.

2. Press or button to select VERSION, and then press OK button. You will now be able to view the version details of this product.

Date/Time Setting

1. In the setting mode, press or button to select DATE/TIME, and then press OK button.

2. Press OK button to select date or time, press or button to adjust selection, press MENU button to confirm and exit.

Frame Rate Setting

1. In the setting mode, press or button to select RECORDER SETTING, and then press OK button.

2. Press or button to select suitable frame rate. Press OK button to confirm and exit.

Event Playback

1. In the setting mode, press or button to select EVENT PLAYBACK, and then press OK button.

Recording Video 1. In real-time monitoring mode, press the button to begin recording.

2. Press again to stop recording.

NOTICE! The video will be automatically saved as an individual file every 3 minutes. Memory Full appears on the LCD screen indicates that the SD card memory is full.

Taking Photos 1. In real-time monitoring mode, press the button to take a photo.

NOTICE! Memory Full appears on the LCD screen indicates that the SD card memory is full.

Playback Video/Picture 1. In realtime monitoring mode, press button.

2. Press or button to select folder, then press OK button to enter it.

3. For playback video, press or button to select video, then press OK button to play.

Pause: Press OK button in playing status to pause; press again to resume. View Pictures: Press or button to select picture, press OK button to view picture.press again to resume. Exit: Press MENU button.

Delete Video/Picture 1. In real-time monitoring staus, press button.

2. Press or button to select video or picture, then press OK button.

3. Press or button to select the file, and then press OK button.

4. Press or button to select the YES and NO, that is, to cancel or delete. Once you have yellow highlighted your selection, press the OK button.

How to enter the Setting Mode

In real-time monitoring mode, press the MENU button.

Language Setting

1. In the setting mode, press or button to select SYSTEM SETTING, and then press OK button.

2. Press or button to select LANGUAGE, and then press OK button, the following interface will appear.

3. Press or button to select your desired language.

4. Press OK button to confirm and MENU button to exit.

Format

1. In the setting mode, press or button to select SYSTEM SETTING, and then press OK button.

2. Press or button to select FORMAT, and then press OK button.

Service Out of Warranty

Units will be repaired at out of warranty service rates when:

The units original warranty has expired.

A dated store receipt is not supplied.

The unit has been returned without its serial number.

The unit has been abused, modified, installed improperly, or had its housing removed.

The minimum out of warranty service fee for your Whistler Inspection Camera is $35.00 (U.S.). If you require out of warranty service, please return your unit as outlined in Step 1 along with a certified check or

money order for $35.00. Payment may also be made by MasterCard, VISA, Discover or American Express; personal checks are not accepted. In the event repairs cannot be covered by the minimum service fee, you will be contacted by a Whistler technical service specialist who will outline options available to you. If you elect not to have your unit repaired, it will be returned to you along with your certified check or money order. Important: When returning your unit for service, be certain to include a daytime telephone number and an email address (if applicable).

Consumer Warranty This Whistler Inspection Camera is warranted to the original purchaser for a period of one year from the date of original purchase against all defects in materials and workmanship. This limited warranty is void if the unit is abused, modified, installed improperly, or if the housing and/ or serial number have been removed. There are no express warranties covering this product other than those set forth in this warranty. All express or implied warranties for this product are limited to the above time. Whistler is not liable for damages arising from the use, misuse, or operation of this product.

During the warranty period, defective units will be repaired without charge to the purchaser when returned with a dated store receipt to the address below. Units returned without a dated store receipt will be handled as described in section Service Out of Warranty.

NOTE: Damage caused by incorrect battery placement or battery leakage is not covered under this warranty.

When returning a unit for service, please follow these instructions:

1. Ship the unit in the original carton or in a suitable sturdy equivalent, fully insured, with return receipt requested to:
