1 Preparing the Machine and Installing the Left Guard

Parts needed for this procedure:

1 Proximity-sensor cap

1 Bolt (M8-1 1/4 x 30 mm)

1 Locknut (M8)

1 Locknut (M12)

1 Bolt (M12-1 3/4 x 80 mm)

1 Left-guard assembly

Procedure 1. Park the machine on a level surface and remove the key.

Note: Place the stakedown cylinders in the extended position.

2. Disconnect the sensor that is connected to the door on the cage.

3. Gather up the wiring harness with the sensor and use a cable tie to secure the harness to the machine.

4. Connect the proximity-sensor cap to the end of the wiring harness connection.

5. Remove the door and cage assembly (Figure 1).

6. Loosen and rotate the hydraulic fittings on the wrench assemblies so that it does not interfere with the guard assemblies (Figure 2).

7. Tighten the fittings.

8. Install the left-guard assembly using 1 bolt (M8-1 1/4 x 30 mm), 1 locknut (M8), 1 bolt (M12-1 3/4 x 80 mm), and 1 locknut (M12) as shown in Figure 3.

9. Torque the M8 bolts to 23 to 29 N-m (17 to 21 ft-lb).

10. Torque the M12 bolts to 80 to 100 N-m (59 to 73 ft-lb).

2 Installing the Right Guard Brackets Parts needed for this procedure:

2 Locknut (M12)

2 Bolt (M12-1 3/4 x 80 mm)

1 Large upper bracket

1 Small upper bracket

1 Lower bracket

4 Bolt (M8-1 1/4 x 30 mm)

4 Locknut (M8)

Procedure 1. Install the upper support brackets as shown in Figure 4.

2. Torque the M8 bolts to 23 to 29 N-m (17 to 21 ft-lb).

3. Torque the M12 bolts to 80 to 100 N-m (59 to 73 ft-lb).

4. Install the lower bracket using 2 bolts (M8-1 1/4 x 30 mm) and 2 locknuts (M8) as shown in Figure 5.

5. Torque the M8 bolts to 23 to 29 N-m (17 to 21 ft-lb).

3 Installing the Stakedown Guard

Parts needed for this procedure:

1 Stakedown guard

5 Bolt (M8-1 1/4 x 25 mm)

5 Locknut (M8)

Procedure Install the stakedown guard using 5 bolts (M8-1 1/4 x 25 mm) and 5 locknuts (M8) as shown in Figure 6. <
