Installing the Speakers

1. Press Z to load the Setup Disc on the tray, then press Z. The Setup Disc menu appears.

2. Sit in the listening position, then select one of the three options on the screen using C/c, and press N or ENTER.

The selected option starts.

3. Position the speakers for the best sound effect. Listening carefully to how the option sounds to determine the best position for the speakers. If a satisfactory

surround sound effect cannot be achieved, adjust the speaker positions.

Hint A Place both front speakers the same distance apart as they are from the listening position (to form an equilateral

triangle). B The front speakers should be placed at least 0.6 m (2 ft) apart. C The front speakers should be placed at ear level in the listening position. D Place the front speakers forward of the TV. Make sure there are no reecting obstacles in front of the speakers. E Both front speakers should be pointed straight forward. Do not place the speakers at an angle. F Do not leave a space in front of the front speakers when placed on a table or rack, etc., as reection may occur.

Note Even if an option is selected, the sound volume of the subwoofer may be low.This is by default setting, and is not

a malfunction. The effective area of surround sound will vary depending on the sound eld selection (FOCUS SURROUND or

WIDE SURROUND). You can change the sound eld settings for optimal front surround sound effect. For details, see System Sound Feature of the Operating Instructions.

4. Press x to stop the disc, then press Z to eject the disc.

English Performing the Quick Setup 1. Turn on the TV and press |/1. Switch the input selector on your TV. [Press [ENTER] to run QUICK SETUP.] appears at the bottom of the screen.

Hint If this message does not appear, see Step 6: Performing the Quick Setup of the Operating Instructions.

2. Press ENTER so that the LANGUAGE SETUP Display appears. Press X/x to select a language, then press ENTER.

Note The selectable language is different depending on the area.

3. Press X/x to select the settings that matches your TV type, then press ENTER. Quick Setup is nished.

2. Appuyez sur ENTER pour afcher lcran CHOIX DE LA LANGUE. Appuyez sur X/x pour slectionner une langue, puis appuyez sur ENTER.

Remarque Les langues disponibles dpendent de la rgion.

3. Appuyez sur X/x pour slectionner les paramtres correspondant votre type de tlviseur, puis appuyez sur ENTER.

LInstallation rapide est termine.

Installation des enceintes 1. Appuyez sur Z pour charger le disque dinstallation dans le plateau, puis appuyez sur Z. Le menu du disque dinstallation safche.

2. Asseyez-vous dans la position dcoute, slectionnez une des trois options afches laide de C/c, puis appuyez sur N ou ENTER.

Loption slectionne dmarre.

3. Positionnez les enceintes pour obtenir un effet sonore optimal. Ecoutez attentivement de quelle manire loption reproduit le son pour dterminer le meilleur emplacement

pour les enceintes. Si vous ne parvenez pas obtenir un effet de son surround satisfaisant, ajustez la position des enceintes.

Conseil A Placez les deux enceintes avant la mme distance lune de lautre que celle qui les spare de la position d

coute (pour former un triangle quilatral). B Eloignez les enceintes avant lune de lautre dune distance de 0,6 m (2 pieds) au moins. C Les enceintes avant doivent tre places au niveau de loreille dans la position dcoute. D Placez les enceintes avant devant le tlviseur. Assurez-vous quaucun obstacle rchissant nest prsent

devant les enceintes. E Les deux enceintes avant doivent tre orientes droit vers lavant. Ne les placez pas un angle. F Ne laissez pas despace devant les enceintes avant lorsque vous les placez sur une table, une tagre, etc., sous

peine dengendrer un rchissement.

Remarque Mme si une option est slectionne, le volume du son du caisson des graves peut tre bas. Cela est d au

rglage par dfaut et ne constitue pas un mauvais fonctionnement. La zone de son surround effective varie en fonction de la slection du champ acoustique (FOCUS SURROUND

ou WIDE SURROUND
