Precautions Before using this product, carefully read this manual and retain it for future reference. Refer also to the instructions for the PSP (PlayStationPortable) system, especially the Warnings and Precautions sections.

Safety Observe all warnings, precautions and instructions. Keep the cradle out of the reach of small children. Do not connect the AC adaptor to a voltage transformer or inverter. Connecting the AC adaptor to a voltage transformer for overseas travel or an inverter for use in an automobile may cause heat to build up in the AC adaptor and may cause burns or a malfunction. Do not touch the cradle with wet hands. If the product does not function properly, disconnect it from the electrical outlet immediately, and contact the appropriate PSP customer service helpline which can be found within every PSP format software manual.

Useandhandling Do not expose the cradle to high temperatures, high humidity or direct sunlight. Do not allow metal objects to come into contact with the cradles charging terminals. Never disassemble or modify the cradle. Do not allow liquid or small particles to get into the cradle. Do not put heavy objects on the cradle. Do not throw or drop the cradle or physically damage it in any way. Do not expose the cradle to dust, smoke or steam. Do not place the cradle or accessories on surfaces that are tilted, unstable or subject to vibration. Do not leave the cradle on the floor. Be careful when you dispose of the product or packaging. The product contains metal and plastic. Follow the instructions of the local authorities when disposing of this product.

Remove the battery after it is exhausted, or if the remote control will not be used for a long time. Do not use batteries other than those specified, and always replace with the same type of battery. Beforeusing The cradle is compatible for use with the PSP-2000 series only. It cannot be used with the PSP-1000 series. To use this product, the PSP system software must be version 3.90 or later. To use this product, the AC adaptor included with the PSP system is required. To clean this product, use a dry, soft cloth. Do not use solvents or other chemicals.

1 InsertthePSPsystemintothecradle. The PSP system can be inserted into or removed from the cradle regardless of whether the power is on or off. To insert the PSP system into the cradle, line up the pin positions and press firmly.

ChargingthePSPsystem When the PSP system is attached to the cradle, the POWER indicator on the system will turn orange and charging will begin. When charging is complete, the POWER indicator will turn off.

Hints If the POWER indicator is not lit, check the PSP system and AC adaptor to verify that they are properly connected to the cradle. For information about charging time and battery life, refer to the instructions for the PSP system.

Hints The DISPLAY SELECT button on the cradle or the remote control can be used to switch the video output only when the AC adaptor is connected to an electrical outlet. An AV cable (sold separately) for composite video is also available.

Outputtingaudiotoexternaldevices External devices, such as the headphones with remote control (sold separately), can be used for audio output. Commercially available speakers and headphones (with an L-type stereo mini plug) can also be used for audio output.

STOP button Stops playback.

TV POWER button Turns on/off the TV.

Controls TV functions. *1 The button will not function if the PSP system is turned off. *2 When the PSP system is switched to sleep mode during game playback, you cannot press

the button of the remote control to clear the sleep mode.

Caution Do not expose the IR port of the cradle to strong light such as from direct sunlight or lighting equipment, as doing so may cause the remote control to malfunction.

1 Usingtheremotecontrol

Hints When using the remote control you must point it towards the IR port. Multiple buttons that are pressed simultaneously will not be recognized. The remote control can be used to operate the PSP system only when the AC adaptor is connected to an electrical outlet.

UsingtheremotecontroltooperateaTV To use the remote control to operate a TV, you must first specify the manufacturer of the TV. TVs manufactured by Sony can be operated using the default settings of the remote control. The remote control may not work with all TV brands and models.

Hints Even if a TV is from a manufacturer listed in the table above, the remote control may not work for that particular TV, or it may only work for certain functions, depending on the year and model of the TV. If the remote control does not work when you have input the settings, and there is more than one button combination listed for the make of your TV, try each of the listed button combinations in order.

While pushing the tab of the battery cover toward the center, insert your fingernail in the groove and pull the cover out.

Replacethebatterycoverontheremotecontrol. Push the cover into place, making sure it is inserted completely.

Hint If the battery is exhausted, or if the remote control has not been used for a while (with the battery removed), you may need to reset the remote control to operate with your TV.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd (SCEE) guarantees that this Product is free from defects in material and workmanship that result in Product failure during normal usage in accordance with the terms set out in below and will, for a period of 1 (one) year from the date of original purchase, repair or (at SCEEs option) replace any component part of this Product, free of charge, where it is faulty due to defective materials or workmanship. Replacement will be with a new or refurbished component or unit, at SCEEs option, which is guaranteed for the remainder of the original Guarantee Period.

The benefits conferred by this Guarantee are in addition to the statutory rights and remedies the consumer has under applicable local laws in respect of this Product and this Guarantee does not affect such rights and remedies in any way. To the extent permitted by applicable law, this Guarantee will be your sole and exclusive remedy in relation to defects in this Product and all other guarantees, warranties, terms and conditions, express or implied by statute or otherwise, in respect of this Product are excluded and neither SCEE nor any other Sony entity, or their suppliers or authorised service facilities, will be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential loss or damage.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting Go through this section if you experience difficulty in operating the cradle. Should any problem persist, contact the appropriate PSP customer service helpline which can be found within every PSP format software manual.

Checkthefollowingfirst Check that the PSP system is properly connected to the cradle. Check that the AC adaptor is securely inserted into the cradle and electrical outlet. Check that the video output cable is securely inserted into the devices.

There is no image or audio output to the TV. The video output setting may be set to display video on the PSP system instead of the TV. Press the DISPLAY SELECT button on the cradle to switch to TV output.

The remote control is not working. Check whether the remote control battery has been exhausted. If so, replace the battery with a new lithium coin battery (CR2025). To operate the TV with the remote control, the manufacturer of the TV needs to be specified ( page 18). Check whether there is an object blocking the space between the remote control and the cradle.

Check whether the remote control and cradle are set too far apart. Check that the remote control is being pointed at the IR port located on the front of the cradle. Check whether the IR port located on the front of the cradle is being exposed to strong light such as from direct sunlight or lighting equipment. Buttons on the remote control may not function normally, depending on the UMD. Multiple buttons that are pressed simultaneously will not be recognized. If the battery is exhausted, or if the remote control has not been used for a while (with the battery removed), you may need to reset the remote control to operate with your TV.

Le tlviseur ne diffuse aucune image ou aucun son. Lorsque lindicateur de sortie du systme sur la base est allum, la vido est affiche sur le systme PSP. Appuyez sur la touche DISPLAY SELECT (cran/slection) de la base ou de la tlcommande pour passer en sortie tlviseur.

Es wird kein Video- oder Tonsignal an den Fernseher ausgegeben. Wenn die Ausgabe-Kontroll-Leuchte der Ladestation aufleuchtet, werden Videosignale auf dem PSP-System angezeigt. Drcken Sie die DISPLAY SELECT- Taste (Anzeige-/Auswahltaste) auf der Ladestation oder der Fernbedienung, um auf Ausgabe an das Fernsehgert umzuschalten.

Die Fernbedienung funktioniert nicht. Ist die Batterie der Fernbedienung leer? In diesem Fall tauschen Sie die Batterie gegen eine neue Lithium-Knopfzelle (CR2025) aus.

Um das Fernsehgert mit der Fernbedienung anzusteuern, muss eine dem Hersteller des Gerts entsprechende Einstellung vorgenommen werden ( Seite 75). Befindet sich ein Gegenstand als Hindernis zwischen der Fernbedienung und der Ladestation? Befinden sich Fernbedienung und Ladestation zu weit auseinander? Zeigt die Fernbedienung auf den IR-Port an der Vorderseite der Ladestation? Ist der IR-Port der Ladestation starker Lichtstrahlung ausgesetzt (z.B. durch direkte Sonneneinstrahlung oder starke knstliche Lichtquellen)? Abhngig von der gerade verwendeten UMD knnen Tasten der Fernbedienung abweichend belegt sein. Das Drcken mehrerer Tasten gleichzeitig hat keine Auswirkungen. Falls die Batterie leer ist oder die Fernbedienung zwischenzeitlich nicht benutzt wird (ohne Batterie), kann es erforderlich sein, die Fernbedienung wieder entsprechend fr Ihr Fernsehgert einzustellen.

Compruebeanteslasiguientelista: Est el sistema PSP bien conectado a la base? Est el adaptador AC bien conectado a la base y a la toma de corriente elctrica? Est el cable AV bien conectado?

La televisin no emite ni imgenes ni sonido. Cuando el indicador de salida del sistema de la base est encendido, el vdeo puede verse en el sistema PSP. Pulse el botn DISPLAY SELECT (pantalla/seleccin) en la base o el mando a distancia para cambiar a la reproduccin en la televisin.

El mando a distancia no funciona. Est agotada la pila del mando a distancia? De ser as, sustituya la pila con una nueva pila de litio de tipo moneda (CR2025). Para controlar la televisin con el mando a distancia, debe indicar el fabricante de la televisin ( pgina 104).

Hay un objeto que bloquea el espacio entre el mando a distancia y la base? Estn el mando a distancia y la base demasiado separados? El mando apunta a la parte delantera de la base, donde est el puerto IR? Est el puerto IR de la base expuesto a una iluminacin fuerte, como la luz directa del sol o la de un equipo de iluminacin? Algunos botones del mando a distancia pueden no funcionar dependiendo del UMD utilizado. No se reconocen los botones si se pulsan varios a la vez. Si la batera se agota, o si no se ha usado el mando a distancia durante un tiempo (tras extraer la batera), es posible que necesite volver a configurar el mando a distancia para que funcione con su televisor.

Veiligheid Volg alle waarschuwingen, voorzorgsmaatregelen en instructies op. Houd het onderstel uit de buurt van kleine kinderen. Sluit de AC-adapter nooit aan op een transformator of een omzetter. Als u de AC-adapter aansluit op een transformator voor gebruik in het buitenland of op een omzetter voor gebruik in een auto, kan dit ertoe leiden dat de AC-adapter te heet wordt, wat brandwonden of storingen kan veroorzaken. Raak het onderstel niet aan met natte handen. Raak nooit met blote handen de vloeistof aan die uit de batterij kan lekken. Laad de batterij niet op. Bij misbruik kan de batterij exploderen. Houd de batterij uit de buurt van kleine kinderen. Laat de batterij niet in aanraking komen met vuur en stel de batterij niet bloot aan extreme temperaturen, zoals in direct zonlicht, in een voertuig blootgesteld aan de zon, of in de buurt van een warmtebron. Voorkom dat de batterij kortsluiting maakt. Demonteer de batterij niet, misbruik hem niet, en verbrandt hem niet. Voorkom schade aan de batterij. Vervoer en/of bewaar de batterij nooit samen met metalen voorwerpen, zoals munten of sleutels. Gebruik de batterij niet meer als deze beschadigd is. Gooi niet met de batterij, laat deze niet vallen, en stel deze niet bloot aan sterke schokken. Voorkom dat de batterij in contact komt met vloeistoffen. Voorzichtig Stel de infrarood-aansluiting van het onderstel niet bloot aan sterk licht, zoals direct zonlicht of verlichtingsapparatuur. Hierdoor kan de werking van de afstandsbediening gestoord worden.

Tips Als de afstandsbediening wordt gebruikt, moet deze op de infrarood-aansluiting worden gericht. Als op meerdere toetsen tegelijk wordt gedrukt, wordt de bediening niet herkend. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd (SCEE) zal, voor een periode van 1 (n) jaar vanaf de oorspronkelijke datum van aankoop, elk onderdeel van dit product gratis repareren of (al naar gelang SCEEs keuze) vervangen indien het defect het gevolg is van materiaal- of constructiegebreken en het product werd gebruikt conform de onderstaande bepalingen. Onderdelen worden vervangen door nieuwe of gereviseerde exemplaren, al naar gelang SCEEs keuze, waarop garantie wordt verleend voor de resterende duur van de oorspronkelijke garantieperiode.

Om schade, verlies of het wissen van verwisselbare opslagmedia of randapparatuur te voorkomen, moet u deze, indien van toepassing, eerst verwijderen, voordat u het product dat binnen de garantie valt ter reparatie aanbiedt. U kunt geen aanspraak maken op deze Garantie wanneer het product is beschadigd als gevolg van:

Verhelpenvanstoringen Raadpleeg dit hoofdstuk wanneer u problemen ondervindt bij het gebruik van het onderstel. Als er problemen blijven optreden, neemt u contact op met de PSP Helpdesk van uw land. Zie voor meer informatie de PSP-softwarehandleiding.

Er wordt geen beeld of geluid uitgevoerd naar de tv. Als de systeem-outputindicator van het onderstel brandt, wordt video weergegeven op het PSP-systeem. Druk op de DISPLAY SELECT-toets van het onderstel of van de afstandsbediening om om te schakelen naar de tv-uitvoer.

De afstandsbediening werkt niet. Is de batterij van de afstandsbediening leeg? Als dat zo is, vervangt u de batterij door een nieuwe lithiumknoopbatterij (CR2025) Om de tv met de afstandsbediening te kunnen bedienen, moet de fabrikant van de tv worden ingsteld ( pag. 161). Blokkeert een obstakel de ruimte tussen de afstandsbediening en het onderstel?

12 Verhelpenvanstoringen

Zijn de afstandsbediening en het onderstel te ver van elkaar verwijderd? Wordt de afstandsbediening gericht op de voorkant van het onderstel waar zich de infrarood-aansluiting bevindt? Wordt de infrarood-aansluiting van het onderstel blootgesteld aan sterk licht, zoals direct zonlicht of verlichtingsapparatuur? Het is mogelijk dat de toetsen op de afstandsbediening niet normaal werken, afhankelijk van de UMD. Als op meerdere toetsen tegelijk wordt gedrukt, wordt de bediening niet herkend. Als de batterij leeg is of als de afstandsbediening enige tijd niet is gebruikt (zonder batterij erin), kan het nodig zijn de afstandsbediening opnieuw in te stellen om met uw tv te kunnen werken.

O comando distncia no est a funcionar. A pilha do comando distncia est gasta? Nesse caso, substitua a pilha por uma pilha de ltio nova tipo moeda (CR2025). Para utilizar a TV com o comando distncia, necessrio especificar o fabricante da TV ( pgina 190). Existe um objecto a bloquear o espao entre o comando distncia e o descanso?
