Precautions Some SONY BUS compatible car audio units, released

in October 2005 or earlier, may not work. This unit can be used with third-generation and later

iPods, iPod photo, iPod mini or iPod nano. iPod Shuf e cannot be used, however.

Touch wheel or scroll wheel type iPods without the dock connector cannot be connected to this unit.

This unit can be used with the following iPod versions. Correct function of earlier versions cannot be guaranteed.

secure installation.

When the iPod is connected to the adaptor, operation from it cannot be performed; operate the iPod from your car audio unit.

Before connecting the iPod to the adaptor, turn down the volume of the car audio unit.

Make sure that the iPod is placed where driving is not obstructed, such as the glove box of the car, etc.

Operation

Playing tracks 1 Connect the iPod to the adaptor.

The iPod will turn on automatically, and the display as below will appear on the iPod screen.

2 Press to select the iPod. PD1 or Portable appears in the display of a car audio unit, and the tracks on the iPod start playing automatically. Note If the iPod is not connected, No iPod will be displayed in the display of the car audio unit.

3 Adjust the volume.

Tips The iPod can be connected to or disconnected from the dock connector

either during playback or pause. When the ignition key is turned to the ACC position, or the car audio unit is

on, the iPod will be recharged. If the iPod is connected while playing a track, the track will continue to play

after the connection. If the iPod is disconnected during playback, playback will pause.

Note To turn the iPod off, either disconnect it from the adaptor, or turn the ignition key to the OFF or ACC position. The iPod will turn off after approx. 2 minutes.

Changing the display items

1 During playback, press . The display items changes as follows:

Setting the play mode

Installation

Avant linstallation Choisissez soigneusement lemplacement de sorte

Conseil L iPod peut tre branch ou dbranch du connecteur dock pendant la

lecture ou la pause. Lorsque la cl de contact est en position ACC ou que lautoradio est

allum, liPod se recharge. Si liPod est raccord lors de la lecture dune piste, la piste continue dtre

lue aprs le raccordement. Si liPod est dbranch en cours de lecture, celle-ci sinterrompt.

Remarque Pour mettre liPod hors tension, dbranchez-le de ladaptateur ou rglez la cl de contact OFF ou la position ACC. LiPod steint au bout denviron 2 minutes.

La lecture alatoire commence. Pour revenir au mode de lecture normale, slectionnez Shuf e off . Remarque La touche GP/ALBM +/ ne fonctionne pas pendant la lecture alatoire.

Balayage Vous pouvez rapidement localiser un passage sur liPod.

1 Appuyez plusieurs fois sur (BBE MP) en cours de lecture, jusqu ce que Scan on apparaisse. Les dix premires secondes de chaque piste sont reproduites.

Pour revenir au mode de lecture normale, slectionnez Scan off . Remarque Cette fonction est inoprante pendant la lecture alatoire.

La pantalla y los botones de funcin varan segn la unidad de audio del vehculo que controla el iPod.

3 Ajuste el volumen.

Cambio del modo de visualizacin

1 Durante la reproduccin, presione . Los elementos mostrados cambian de la siguiente forma: Nombre de la pista Nmero de la pista Tiempo de reproduccin transcurrido Nombre del lbum Nombre del artista (Reloj) Notes Si no se introduce el nombre de la pista, del lbum, del artista o de la

lista de reproduccin en el iPod , se mostrar el mensaje No name en la pantalla de la unidad de audio para vehculos.

No se mostrar la hora actual en la pantalla de la unidad de audio para vehculos si sta dispone de una pantalla separada para el reloj, aunque se presione .

Ajuste del modo de reproduccin
