EN Accessories for chopping and grating (Food processor) User's manual

USING THE ACCESSORIES The chopping accessories can be used for chopping tougher

ingredients such as nuts, herbs, cheeses, fruit and vegetables in their raw state or even well diced meat. It is suitable for preparing pure and baby food.

The chopping accessories can be used for grating, peeling and slicing practically all types of fruits and vegetables. Carrots, potatoes, cabbage, cucumbers, zucchini, beetroot, mushrooms, onions, etc. can be cut into slices.

Cut the food into pieces that are suitable for insertion into the feed tube.

Make sure that the accessories are correctly assembled and secured on the food processor, and that the control knob is set to the OFF position. Connect the power cord of the food processor to a power socket.

Set the control knob of the food processor to the highest speed (MAX). In the case of soft food, you can also use a lower speed.

If you wish to increase the speed to maximum speed for a short while, set the control knob to the P position (Pulse). Do not leave the food processor running in this mode for longer than 30 seconds, there is a risk of overheating.

Insert the individual foods or food pieces into the feed tube and gently push them down into the bowl using the pusher. Do not push excessively on the pusher so that the motor unit of the food processor is not overloaded.

Warning: Always use only the supplied pusher to push food into the feed tube. Never use your fingers or other utensils!

Insert the food evenly. If you need to process a large amount of food, process it in small batches and always empty out the bowl between the individual batches.

When you have finished using the grating accessory, move the pusher up and down a few times. This will reduce the amount of food that gets stuck in the attachment.

Clean out the used accessories after each use according to the instructions in chapter CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.

FOOD PREPARATION AND PROCESSING TIPS Use only fresh foods. Slice large pieces into smaller ones so that they fit into the feed tube. First cut cabbage up into section chunks and remove the cabbage

stalk. Insert food into the feed tube gradually and evenly. To move the food through the feed tube into the bowl, always use the

pusher, moving it slowly and without exerting excessive downward force.

When processing a large amount of food, check that it is not accumulating underneath or above the attachment (only for grating accessories).

To process softer foods, such as for example cucumbers, we recommend setting the speed to low or medium. To process harder foods, for example carrots or hard cheeses, set the speed to medium, higher or maximum speed.

When chopping hard cheeses or chocolate, do not leave the food processor running for a long time. The chopping action excessively heats up the ingredients, makes them soft and they may form into clumps.

In the event that the attachment becomes clogged with food, always first turn off the food processor and disconnect it from the power socket. Then remove the bowl, disassemble the accessories and clean the attachment. Reassemble the accessories, mount them on the food processor and after connecting it to mains power, continue in your activity.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning: Prior to any cleaning or maintenance, always turn off the robot, disconnect it from the power socket and remove the accessories from the food processor. Never clean accessories that are mounted on the food processor. To clean the used accessories and its parts, never use chemicals, dishwashing abrasive wool, steel wool or cleaning products with abrasive components. Otherwise the surface of the parts may be damaged.

We recommend cleaning the accessories and its individual parts as soon as possible after use, before the food scraps dry on. These are harder to remove later.

Thoroughly wash the used removable parts after every use in warm water using a neutral dishwashing detergent. Then rinse these parts with clean water and allow them to dry naturally or dry them out their using a wiping cloth.

Warning: When cleaning the chopper and attachments, be very careful not to injure yourself on their sharp edges.

Regularly clean the gearbox unit on the underside of the bowl. Turn the bowl upside down and insert the key A14 into the part of the bowl used for mounting to the food processor. Turn the key clockwise to release the gearbox unit, take the key out and remove the unit from the bowl. Also take out the gasket seal of the unit.

Clean dust and other dirty material from the gearbox unit and the gasket seal.

Put the gasket seal back on and slide the gearbox unit back in. Put the key on to the unit and turn it anticlockwise to secure the unit in place.

After removing the key, check with your hand that the unit is correctly attached and that it is not possible to pull it out from the underside of the bowl.
