Important safety instructions READ CAREFULLY AND STORE FOR FUTURE USE. This appliance may not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its power cord away from children.

The appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with a lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed to use the appliance in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers.

Children must not play with the appliance. There is a potential risk of injury when it is used incorrectly. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply when leaving it without supervision and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.

This appliance is designed for household use only. It is not intended for use in locations such as:

- kitchens in stores; offices and other workplaces; - in agriculture; - guests of hotels, motels and other accommodation locations; - in bed and breakfast establishments. Do not submerge the appliance, the power cord or the power plug in water or in any other liquid.

Prevent the power cord and power plug from coming into contact with water or another liquid.

Wipe the water tank using soft sponge lightly dipped in warm water. Wipe dry using a clean wiping cloth. Wash glass cups in warm water with a small amount of kitchen dishwashing liquid, rinse and wipe them dry using a clean wiping cloth.

ATTENTION: Never fill the kettle coffeemaker above the maximum level because hot frothy coffee or other liquids (e.g. milk) may overflow while being heated.

In the event that the power cord is damaged, have it repaired at a professional service centre to prevent causing a dangerous situation. It is forbidden to use the appliance if it has a damaged power cord.

Use the appliance according to the instructions in the user's manual. Otherwise, injuries, damage to the appliance or a dangerous situation may result.

The appliance is intended exclusively for brewing filtered coffee. Use the appliance only for the purposes for which it was designed.

Before connecting the appliance to a power socket, check that the rated voltage on its rating label matches the electrical voltage in the power socket.

Connect the appliance only to a properly grounded socket. For safety reasons, we do not recommend using multi-socket adapters or extension cords.

Do not place the appliance on window sills, kitchen sink drainboards or unstable surfaces. Always place it on a stable, even and dry surface.

Do not place the appliance on or near an electrical or gas stove, or in the vicinity of an open flame.

Never use the appliance in the near vicinity of a bath, shower or swimming pool.

Only use the appliance with the original accessories that came with it. The appliance must not be used without the filter holder and the coffee filter. Never pour coffee or coffee beans directly into the filter holder.

Hot steam is released from the vents during operation. For this reason, provide the appliance with at least 20 cm of clearance space.

Fill the water tank with clean cold water. Do not pour hot water or other liquids into it or place any items inside it. The maximum capacity of the water tank is 0.3 litres. Do not overfill the water tank.

Before turning on the appliance, make sure that the water tank is filled with a sufficient amount of water, that the lid of the appliance is properly closed and that the kettle is placed on the hotplate. The water level in the water tank must not exceed the maximum mark.

Warning: Do not open the lid of the water tank during the coffee brewing process.

Always hold the cups into which coffee is being brewed by their handle. Pay extra attention when handling cups filled with hot coffee to prevent scalding.

Regularly inspect the water level in the water tank when using the appliance. When the water level falls below the minimum water level mark, add water. Before adding water, first turn the appliance off and disconnect it from the power socket.

Before using the appliance again, turn it off and allow it to cool down for 10 minutes.

The appliance is equipped with a safety thermal fuse that automatically cuts off the electrical circuit when overheating occurs. In the event that such a situation occurs, disconnect the appliance from the power socket and allow it to cool down. After it has cooled down, you may continue using the appliance. Do not fill the water tank with cold water for the purpose of cooling down the heating element.

Always turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the power socket when not using it, when leaving it without supervision, before disassembling or assembling it, before filling up the water tank, and before moving or cleaning it. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning or moving it.

Keep the appliance and its accessories in clean condition. Clean and maintain it according to the instructions in chapter Cleaning and maintenance. Never wash the appliance under running water or submerge it in water or another liquid.

Never move the appliance with the water tank filled with water or with the kettle located on the hotplate.

Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with a hot surface and prevent the power plug from coming into contact with water.

Disconnect the appliance from the power socket by pulling on the plug, never pulling on the power cord. Otherwise, this could damage the power cord or the socket.

To avoid the danger of injury by electrical shock, do not repair the appliance yourself or make any adjustments to it. Have all repairs or adjustments performed at an authorised service centre. By tampering with the appliance, you risk voiding your legal rights arising from unsatisfactory performance or quality warranty.

Prior to using this appliance, please read the user's manual thoroughly, even in cases, when one has already familiarised themselves with previous use of similar types of appliances. Only use the appliance in the manner described in this users manual. Keep this user's manual in a safe place where it can be easily retrieved for future use.

We recommend saving the original cardboard box, packaging material, purchase receipt and responsibility statement of the vendor or warranty card for at least the duration of the legal liability for unsatisfactory performance or quality. In the event of transportation, we recommend that you pack the appliance in the original box from the manufacturer.

BEFORE FIRST USE Before first use, take the appliance and its accessories out of the packaging material

and remove all promotional labels and stickers. Check that neither the appliance nor any of its parts is damaged.

Thoroughly wash the filter holder A1, ground coffee filter A8 and glass cups A3 in warm water with a small amount of neutral dishwashing detergent. Rinse under clean running water and dry well. Put these parts back into the coffeemaker. Ensure that all the accessories are completely dry.

Wipe the coffeemaker with a soft sponge lightly dipped in warm water. Then wipe with a dry wiping cloth.

Putting the coffeemaker into operation Before first use or after an extended period of time when the coffeemaker was not used, it is important to clean the coffeemaker with clean water without any ground coffee in the filter. Proceed as follows: 1. Insert the power plug into a power socket. 2. Tilt open the lid A5 and pour cold fresh water into the water tank A6. Close the

water tank lid A5. 3. Ensure that the filter A8 without ground coffee is inserted in the holder A1 and that

the holder A1 is correctly inserted in the coffeemaker. 4. Insert a cup into the base A4. 5. Press the ON button A7 and the process where water drips into the cup will start

within a few short moments. 6. Wait until all the water in the water tank flows through the filter into the cup. 7. If necessary, repeat this process two to three times. Then the coffeemaker is clean, warm and ready for use.

Note: During the cleaning and coffee brewing process, you will hear a rattling noise. This noise is made by the pump and this is normal.

OPERATING THE COFFEEMAKER 1. Open open the lid A5 and pour the necessary amount of cold fresh water into the

water tank A6. Ensure that the water level does not exceed the maximum water level mark.

2. Slide out the holder A1 and pour a  sufficient amount of ground coffee into the filter A8. Use ground coffee specifically intended for this type of appliance exclusively. As a rule, you will need a full tablespoon of ground coffee for a single cup of coffee. Nevertheless, the amount of ground coffee can be modified to suit one's preferences. Slide the holder A1 back into the coffeemaker.

3. Insert a cup / cups A3 into the base A4. Check that they are correctly positioned. 4. Turn on the coffeemaker by pressing the ON button A7. 5. After a short moment the coffee will start dripping into the cup. 6. As soon as the coffee brewing process is complete, turn off the coffeemaker and

wait approximately 1 minute before removing the cups.

Note: Allow the coffeemaker to cool down for approx. 10 minutes before using it again. Otherwise, there is a risk of it overheating and subsequent damage.

7. When not using the coffeemaker, disconnect the power plug from the power socket. Allow the coffeemaker to sufficiently cool down and then clean it according to the instructions in chapter "Cleaning and maintenance".

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Disconnect the power plug from the power socket and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it. For cleaning, do not use cleaning products with an abrasive effect, solvents, etc. that could damage the appliance. No part of this appliance is intended for washing in a dishwasher.

Warning: To prevent the risk of injury by electrical shock, do not submerge the appliance, power cord or power plug in water or any another liquid.

Cleaning the filters Before removing the filter A8, check that it has cooled down completely. It may be very hot during the coffee brewing process as well as afterwards. Remove the used coffee from the filter A8. This can be thrown out with household waste or composted. Carefully wash the filter A8, holder A1 in warm water with a small amount of neutral kitchen detergent. Rinse under clean running water and dry thoroughly.

Cleaning the outer surface of the coffeemaker Before cleaning the outer surface, make sure that the coffeemaker has cooled down completely. Wipe the external surface of the coffeemaker using sponge lightly dipped in warm water. Wipe dry using a clean wiping cloth.

Removing limescale deposits Over time, limescale deposits may form in the coffeemaker, which may negatively affect the flavour of the brewed coffee and shorten the lifespan of the coffeemaker. It is important to regularly remove limescale deposits. 1. Pour a  solution of water and descaling agent into the water tank A6 up to the

maximum mark. Follow the instructions on the packaging of the agent.

Note: The descaling agent can be purchased in standard retail chains. Always use a descaling agent intended for home coffeemakers. Alternatively, citric acid or an 8% white vinegar solution in the recommended 2:1 ratio.

2. Insert a cup or bowl into the base A4. 3. Ensure that the filter A8 without ground coffee is inserted in the holder A1 and that

the holder A1 is correctly inserted in the coffeemaker. 4. Turn on the coffeemaker by pressing the ON button A7. 5. After a short moment the solution will start dripping through. 6. Wait until all the water in the water tank flows through the filter A8. 7. Once the water tank A6 is empty, pour out the solution. 8. Pour clean cold water into the water tank A6 up to the maximum mark and again

allow all the contents of the water tank to flow through the coffeemaker.

Storage When not using the appliance for an extended period of time, disconnect the power plug from the power socket, allow the appliance to cool down and clean it according to the instructions provided above. Before storing it, check that the appliance and all its accessories are thoroughly clean and dry. Store the appliance in a dry, clean and well-ventilated location not exposed to extreme temperatures and out of children's reach.
