Do not place the appliance on an electric or gas stove or in its vicinity, on the edge of a table or on an unstable surface. Only place the appliance on an even, dry and stable surface.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove the coffee grinder from the packing material. 2. Turn the lid A1 anticlockwise to release it, then take it off. Wash it under warm running water using

kitchen detergent. Then rinse it with clean water and thoroughly wipe dry. 3. Wipe the hopper A2 and the grinding blade A3 with a clean lightly dampened wiping cloth and

then wipe it until it is thoroughly dry.

Attention: When cleaning the grinding blade A3, be very careful not to injure yourself on the sharp edge.

USING THE COFFEE GRINDER

1. Wind the power cord out of the storage area A7. 2. Turn the lid A1 anticlockwise to release it, then take it off. Pour coffee beans into the hopper A2. The

hopper A2 has a maximum capacity of 60 g of coffee beans. Do not fill the hopper A2 past the edge.

Tip: You may also use the coffee grinder for grinding nuts, herbs, poppy seeds and certain types of spices. Shells must be removed from nuts before grinding.

Attention: Do not use the coffee grinder to grind excessively hard foodstuffs such as nutmeg, etc.

3. Place the lid A1 on to the hopper A2 and turn it clockwise until the symbols marked on the lid A1 and the coffee grinder base unit A4 line up. This will lock the lid A1 in place. When locked in place, the lid A1 cannot be lifted off. The coffee grinder is equipped with a safety mechanism that prevents it from being started when the lid A1 is not properly attached.

4. Connect the coffee grinder to a power socket and press the pulse button A5 to start it. The coffee grinder will continue to run while the button A5 is pressed. The coarseness of the ground coffee depends on the grinding time. The longer you grind it, the finer it will be.

Attention: The maximum continuous operating time is 30 seconds. After 30 seconds of continuous operation, allow the coffee grinder to rest for 2 minutes.

Tip: Always prepare your coffee beverage from freshly ground coffee. Coffee that is ground in advance loses its flavour and aroma.

5. To stop the coffee grinder, release the pulse button A5. Disconnect the coffee grinder from the power socket. Make sure that the grinding blade A3 has stopped rotating. Turn the lid A1 anticlockwise to release it, then take it off. Tip the ground coffee into a suitable container.

6. Clean out the coffee grinder after each use according to the instructions in chapter Cleaning and maintenance.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning it, make sure that the coffee grinder is turned off, disconnected from the power socket and that the grinding blade A3 is not moving.

Wash the lid A1 using warm water with kitchen detergent. Then rinse it with clean water and dry thoroughly with a fine wiping cloth.

Remove any remaining ground coffee or remains of other foodstuffs that you processed from the hopper A2. Thoroughly clean the hopper A2 and the grinding blade A3 with a clean lightly dampened wiping cloth and then wipe dry.

Attention: When cleaning the grinding blade A3, be very careful not to injure yourself on the sharp edge.

Use a dry or lightly dampened wiping cloth for cleaning the base unit A4. Do not rinse it under running water or submerge it in water or another liquid.

Do not use thinners, solvents or cleaning agents that cause abrasion, etc. to clean the product.

STORAGE

When not using the appliance, store it in a dry place out of children's reach. Wind up the power cord into the storage area A7 and close the lid A1 so that dust does not accumulate inside the hopper A2.
