4. installation 4.1. V-scan setup 4.1.1. To install the software, the App needs to be downloaded
first, then the actual vehicle software (over Wifi). 4.2. installing app 4.2.1. Install App to your phone or tablet (Android only) by
either scanning the QR code right, or from Google Play. For Google Play, search SEALEY VSCAN (fig.4).
5. configure Vci 5.2.1. Connect the VCI (Vehicle Connection Interface) to an EOBD/OBDII vehicle and turn ignition
on, light will flash showing the VCI has power. The vehicles EOBD/OBDII connector is usually in the area under the steering wheel. For more information, refer to the vehicles handbook.
5.2.2. On your phone or tablet open Settings and turn Bluetooth ON (fig.1). 5.2.3. Scan for Bluetooth devices and pair (fig.2).The V-Scan ID/serial number will be unique to your
V-Scan and shown on the label of the VCI (example BD160000****). Keep this number safe because may be required at a later date (fig.2)
5.2.4. Choose your ID and input 0000 or 1234 as password and select OK (fig.3). 5.2.5. If the Android version of your phone or tablet is higher than 4.4, it may show two Bluetooth
devices. You may need to connect both. make sure the Bluetooth pairing is successful. 5.2.6. Open the V-Scan App on your phone or tablet (fig.4) will then connect to the VCI automatically
each time the V-Scan is used, but must be connected to a vehicle to power the VCI. 5.2.7. once successfully connected, select VCI icon on Home Page to check for any VCI updates
(fig.5).

6. installing Vehicle software note: Before initial use the software will need to be downloaded onto the phone/tablet. This should be done over Wifi because will be a more stable connection and faster. 6.1. With phone/tablet connected to Wifi, press Update icon. Select Manual Selection (fig.6) then
download new diagnostic software (fig.7). It will depend on the phone/tablet if the software can be saved into the devices memory or a SD card (if fitted). The software is NOT big so wont take up much memory. Software storage space requires approximately 50mB. Software will take approximately 30 minutes to download depending on the speed of the Wifi connection.
7. after sales & tech support 7.1. The product is supplied with a 1 year warranty and 1 year of updates. The V-Scan has the facility
to report any vehicle software issues feedback icon, which is important to use to keep the software as up to date, bug free and user friendly as possible.

8. upDates 8.1. The product is supplied with 1 year of updates. once the initial 1 year of updates has expired,
contact Sealey technical support on 01284 757505 to purchase/renew the subscription for another 12 months.
9. inforMation 9.1. For more information on how to install/delete software within the app, select FAQ icon
(Frequently Asked Questions) on the app Home Page (fig.5).
