1. SAFETY 1.1. ELECTRiCAL SAFETY

WARninG! It is the users responsibility to check the following: Check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using. Inspect power supply leads, plugs and all electrical connections for wear and damage. Sealey recommend that an RCd (Residual Current device) is used with all electrical products. You may obtain an RCd by contacting your local Sealey stockist. If the product is used in the course of business duties, it must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT (Portable Appliance Test) tested. Electrical safety information, it is important that the following information is read and understood. ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply. Regularly inspect power supply cables and plugs for wear or damage and check all connections to ensure that they are secure. important: Ensure that the voltage rating on the appliance suits the power supply to be used and that the plug is fitted with the correct fuse - see fuse rating in these instructions.

8 DO nOT pull or carry the appliance by the power cable. 8 DO nOT pull the plug from the socket by the cable. 8 DO nOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs or connectors. ensure that any faulty item is repaired or is replaced

immediately by a qualified electrician. This product is fitted with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug. If the cable or plug is damaged during use, switch off the electricity supply and remove from use. Ensure that repairs are carried out by a qualified electrician. Replace a damaged plug with a BS1363/A 13 Amp 3 pin plug. If in doubt contact a qualified electrician. a) Connect the GREEN/YELLOW earth wire to the earth terminal E. b) Connect the BROWN live wire to the live terminal L. c) Connect the BLUE neutral wire to the neutral terminal N. ensure that the cable outer sheath extends inside the cable restraint and that the restraint is tight. Sealey recommend that repairs are carried out by a qualified electrician. 1.2. GEnERAL SAFETY

WARninG! Compressor must only be serviced by an authorised agent. 9 Familiarise yourself with the application and limitations of the compressor. 9 ensure the compressor is in good order and condition before use. If in any doubt do not use the unit and

contact an electrician / service agent. 9 Before moving, or maintaining the compressor, ensure it is unplugged from the mains supply and that the air brush is disconnected. 8 DO nOT attach anything other than an air brush to the compressor. 9 ensure the safe working pressure of any air brush used, exceeds the units output pressure. 9 ensure the area selected for spraying is provided with suitable ventilation. 9 ensure the compressor is turned off before disconnecting the air brush. 9 To move the compressor use the handle only. 9 ensure it is placed on a firm surface. 9 Keep tools and other items away from the compressor when it is in use, and keep area clean and clear of unnecessary items. 9 ensure the air brush supply hose is not tangled, twisted, or pinched. 9 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area. 8 DO nOT disassemble compressor for any reason. The unit must be checked and serviced by an approved service agent. 8 DO nOT use the compressor outdoors, or in damp, or wet locations. 8 DO nOT operate within the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases or solids. 8 DO nOT touch compressor cylinder head as it may be hot and will remain so for some time after shutdown. 8 DO nOT attempt to move the compressor by pulling the air brush supply hose. only move the compressor by its handle. 8 DO nOT use this product to perform a task for which it has not been designed. DAnGER! DO nOT direct the output jet of air towards people or animals. 9 When not in use, store the compressor carefully in a safe, dry, childproof location.

WARninG! if an electrical fuse blows, ensure it is replaced with an identical fuse type and rating. 8 DO nOT eat or smoke whilst spraying. 8 DO nOT spray near naked flames. 8 DO nOT leave the compressor running unattended. 8 DO nOT operate the compressor whilst under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other intoxicating medication. 8 DO nOT carry the compressor while operating the air brush. 8 DO nOT cover the compressor or restrict air flow around the machine whilst operating. 8 DO nOT allow anyone to operate the compressor unless they have received full instructions.

nOTE: This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

2. inTRODUCTiOn Quiet running piston pump, powered by a 122W motor - suitable for most air brushes. Requires no lubrication and the air supply from the unit is oil free. Supplied with an air filter regulator and pressure gauge.

4. PREPARATiOn 4.1. Remove compressor from packaging and inspect for any damage. If anything is found to be missing or damaged contact your supplier. 4.2. The compressor should be operated in a position that allows good air circulation around the unit.

5. OPERATiOn WARninG! Ensure that you have read, understood and apply Section 1 safety instructions.

5.1. Situate the compressor in a convenient position for the compressor on sheets of paper or card etc. ensure the rubber feet are in direct contact with the work surface.

8 DO nOT operate the unit in an enclosed space and ensure that there is adequate air space around the unit. 5.2. Attach the air brush hose to the air outlet, use PTFe tape to ensure correct seal. 5.3. Plug the mains lead into a convenient socket but do not switch on until you have fully prepared the medium to be sprayed, the air brush

and the item/surface to be sprayed. 5.4. Switch on the unit. The compressor will then provide a constant air flow to the air brush. The compressor motor will cut-in and out

automatically to maintain the required pressure as determined by the user setting on the regulator. 5.5. Refer to the air brush instructions for the correct operating pressure. To adjust the pressure, first pull up the regulator knob to unlock it.

To increase the pressure, turn the knob clockwise. To decrease the pressure, turn the knob anti-clockwise. monitor the result on the pressure gauge. When correct pressure has been obtained, push down the regulator knob to lock it.

5.6. Refer to the air brush manufacturers instructions for the correct spraying technique. 5.7. DO nOT leave the compressor running for any length of time with the air brush attached but not being used. If there is a pause in your

work switch the compressor off.

5.8. If the operating note of the compressor changes, there may be a blockage within the air brush or the air hose may be pinched. The unit should be switched off immediately and the source of the blockage investigated and eliminated.

5.9. When the task is complete use the compressor to blow a suitable cleaning solvent through your air brush. 5.10. Switch the unit off. operate the air brush to relieve any pressure left in the hose. disconnect the air brush from the compressor. 5.11. drain off any moisture by lifting the drain valve. 5.12. during and immediately after operation, the finned pump head may be hot and should not be touched. If the unit must be moved, lift it by

the handle only. Allow the unit to cool before storing it. 5.13. Should there appear to be any loss of efficiency when spraying, ensure first that the air brush is scrupulously clean and functioning

properly.

6. mAinTEnAnCE WARninG! Before carrying out any maintenance, switch compressor off, unplug it from the mains electricity supply,

de-pressurise the tank and allow unit to fully cool down. 6.1. Keep the unit clean at all times. 6.2. DO nOT cover any of the ventilation slots. DO nOT allow any extraneous material to enter the unit via any of the ventilation openings. 6.3. Store in dust free and dry conditions. .
