be given to vehicle operation. Always wear your seat belt. Supplemental air bags do not replace proper seat belt usage. Children 12 and under should always ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints

or seat belts according to their age and weight. Do not drink and drive.

NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM The Nissan Intelligent Key System allows you to lock or unlock the vehicle, open the liftgate and start the engine. It is important to make sure the Intelligent Key is with you (that is, in your pocket or purse).

REMOTE ENGINE START* (if so equipped)

The remote engine start operating range is approximately 197 ft (60 m) from the vehicle. The effective operating range may be shorter due to environmental conditions or obstacles between you and the vehicle.

For the remote engine start to function, the vehicle must be in the P (Park) position with the ignition off and all the doors closed and locked.

To start your vehicle remotely:

1. Press the button .

2. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the remote engine start button for at least 2 seconds.

The engine will start, and the parking lights will turn on.

Automatic climate control will begin heating or cooling the vehicle depending on the last used mode.

The engine will run for 10 minutes and then turn off.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to extend the time for an additional 10-minute period.

After two remote starts, the ignition switch must be cycled before the remote start can be used again.

To start driving, depress the brake pedal and push the ignition switch.

LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE VEHICLE

The operating range of the Intelligent Key is within 31.5 in (80 cm) from each request switch.

To lock the vehicle, push either door handle request switch once or press the button on the key fob.

To unlock the vehicle, perform one of the following procedures:

Push either door handle request switch once; the corresponding door will unlock. Push the door handle request switch

again within 30 seconds; all other doors will unlock, or

Press the button on the key fob to unlock the drivers side door. Press the button again; all other doors will unlock.

To open the liftgate, press the button for more than 1 second.

While liftgate is in motion, the request switch on door handles are disabled. To unlock or lock door, use key fob buttons.

The Intelligent Key can also be used to activate the panic alarm by pressing and holding the button for more than 0.5 seconds. Once activated, the panic alarm and headlights will stay on for a period of time.

INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY DISCHARGE

If the battery of the Intelligent Key is discharged or environmental conditions interfere with the Intelligent Key operation, start the engine according to the following procedure:

1. Move the shift lever to the P (Park) position.

2. Firmly apply the foot brake.

3. Touch the ignition switch with the Intelligent Key, and a chime will sound.

4. Within 10 seconds after the chime sounds, push the ignition switch while depressing the brake pedal and the engine will start.

POWER FRONT SEAT ADJUSTMENTS To slide the seat forward or backward, push

the switch forward or backward.

To adjust the angle of the seatback, push the switch forward or backward.

SEAT LIFTER

To adjust the angle and height of the seat cushion, push the front or rear end of the switch up or down.

POWER LUMBAR SUPPORT

To adjust the lumbar area, push the front or back end of the switch . Please see your Owners Manual for important safety information, system limitations, and additional operating and feature information.

3RD ROW POWER FOLDING SEATS (if so equipped) Before operating the 3RD row seats:

Make sure the 2ND row seatback is not reclined.

Lower the 3RD row headrest to the full down position.

Disconnect and secure the center seat belt and tongue into the retractor base. Always reconnect the center seat belt when the seat is returned to the upright position.

Make sure that there are no objects on the seatback cushion.

The 3RD row power folding seat controls are located on the rear quarter trim panel behind the 3RD row seats (on the passengers side) .

To fold down the 3RD row seats, push and hold the left portion of the switch.

To raise the 3RD row seats, push and hold the right portion of the switch.

2ND ROW SEAT ADJUSTMENTS (if so equipped) To recline the seatback, pull up on the recline

handle or the seatback latch located on the upper corner of the seatback and lean back. To bring the seatback forward, pull the handle up and lean your body forward. Release the handle to lock the seatback in position.

TIP UP FOR EASY ENTRY/EXIT OF THE 3RD ROW

1. Raise the armrest (captains chairs) so it is parallel to the seatback and in the stowed position.

2. Then lift the recline handle or the seatback latch and fold the seatback forward onto the seat base.

3. Finally, lift the lower corner of the seat base and fold the seat forward.

If the ignition switch is in the OFF position, the power folding seats are always operational.

If the ignition switch is in the ON position, the power folding seats are only operational when the shift lever is in the P (Park) or N (Neutral) position.

REAR DOOR ALERT The Rear Door Alert functions under certain conditions to indicate there may be an object or passenger in the rear seat(s). The system is activated when a rear door is opened and closed within 10 minutes of the vehicle being driven.

TO TURN THE REAR DOOR ALERT SYSTEM ON:

Push the Rear Door Alert switch . The Rear Door Alert switch indicator light will illuminate.

TO TURN THE REAR DOOR ALERT SYSTEM OFF:

Push the Rear Door Alert Switch again. The Rear Door Alert Switch Indicator light will go off.

TO DISABLE THE REAR DOOR ALERT SYSTEM:

When the vehicle is in the P (Park) position, a message will appear in the vehicle information display . The options DISMISS MESSAGE or DISABLE ALERT will be listed.

Push the switch to toggle between DISMISS MESSAGE and DISABLE ALERT.

Push the switch to select your option:

Select DISMISS MESSAGE to clear the display. If no selection is made, the message turns off after a period of time.

Select DISABLE ALERT to disable the horn alert for the remainder of the current trip.

STARTING/STOPPING THE ENGINE TURNING THE ENGINE ON

Depress the brake pedal.

Push the ignition switch.

TURNING THE ENGINE OFF

Move the shift lever to the P (Park) position, apply the parking brake and push the ignition switch.

GETTING STARTED AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSITIONER (if so equipped) Two positions for the drivers seat, steering

wheel and outside mirrors can be stored in the automatic drive positioner memory.

Follow this procedure to set the memory positions:

Confirm the shift lever is in the P (Park) position.

Place the ignition switch in the ON position.

Adjust the drivers seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors to the desired positions using the adjusting switches for each feature.

Push the SET switch, and within 5 seconds, push the memory switch (1 or 2) for at least 1 second.

The indicator light on the memory switch you select will illuminate for approximately 5 seconds and a buzzer will sound.

The drivers seat, steering wheel and outside mirror positions are now set to your preferences.

These memorized positions can also be linked to your Nissan Intelligent Key.

To link a memorized position to your Nissan Intelligent Key, press the unlock button on the key fob after completing the previous step.

OUTSIDE MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH To select the right or left side mirror, slide the

control switch right or left. To adjust the mirror angle, move the control

switch up, down, right or left. To prevent accidentally moving the mirror,

turn and set the control switch to the center (neutral) position.

POWER FOLDING OUTSIDE MIRRORS To fold the mirrors, push the CLOSE switch . To unfold the mirrors, push the OPEN switch .

HOMELINK UNIVERSAL TRANSCEIVER The HomeLink Universal Transceiver can learn and consolidate the functions

of up to three different hand-held transmitters, operating items such as garage doors, property gates, outdoor and indoor lights or alarm systems.

TYPE A (IF SO EQUIPPED)

To program the HomeLink Universal Transceiver Type A (if so equipped):

Position the handheld transceiver 1-3 in (26-76 mm) away from the HomeLink surface, keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.

Press and hold the desired HomeLink button and the handheld transmitter button simultaneously until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly.

Both buttons may be released when the indicator light flashes rapidly.

TYPE B (IF SO EQUIPPED)

To program the HomeLink Universal Transceiver Type B (if so equipped):

Press and release the desired HomeLink button. The indicator light will flash in orange and TRAINING will be displayed on the mirror.

Position the handheld transceiver 1-3 in (26-76 mm) away from the HomeLink surface, keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.

While the indicator light is flashing in orange, press and hold the hand- held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light changes from orange to green and TRAINED is displayed on the mirror. When the indicator light illuminates in green, the hand-held transmitter button may be released.

VERIFYING HOMELINK PROGRAMING

To verify the programing is complete, press and hold the HomeLink button and observe the indicator light:

A solid, continuous light indicates the programing is complete and the HomeLink button will activate your device.

A blinking light that turns to a solid, continuous light after 2 seconds indicates additional steps are required to complete the programing.

An additional person may make the remaining steps easier. To complete the programing process:

At the receiver of the device that you are programing to the HomeLink button, press and release the learn or smart button (the name may vary by manufacturer, but it is usually located near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). You have approximately 30 seconds to initiate the following step.

Press and hold the programed HomeLink button for 2 seconds and release.

You may have to repeat the previous two steps up to 3 times to complete the programing process. HomeLink should now activate your device.

GETTING STARTED

E-CALL (SOS) BUTTON The E-Call (SOS) feature requires a

NissanConnect Services subscription.

With a paid subscription, it can be used to call for assistance in case of emergency.

To use this feature, press the SOS button 1 on the overhead console.

HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONER (automatic) (if so equipped) AUTO BUTTON/TEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL

Press the AUTO button, and the system will automatically control air flow distribution and fan speed to achieve and maintain the temperature setting (automatic cooling and/or dehumidified heating).

Turn the drivers side temperature control dial to set your desired temperature.

Automatic mode may be used year-round and will work to reach a comfortable temperature quickly. For example, on a very hot day, the system will initially operate at maximum air flow for rapid cool down.

DUAL BUTTON/PASSENGERS SIDE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL

Press the DUAL button to turn the passengers side temperature controls on or off. This will allow the passengers side temperature to be adjusted independently from the drivers side control by turning the passengers side control.

Turn the passengers side temperature control dial left for cooler air or right for warmer air.

FAN SPEED CONTROL BUTTONS

Press the fan speed control buttons to manually decrease the fan speed or increase the fan speed .

MODE BUTTON

Press the MODE button to cycle through the following air flow outlets:

Air flows from the center and side vents.

Air flows from the center, side and foot vents.

Air flows mainly from the foot vents.

Air flows from the front defroster and foot vents.

DEFROSTING/DEFOGGING FRONT AND SIDE WINDOWS

Press the front defroster button to turn the system on. The A/C automatically turns on when the front defroster mode is selected. This feature removes humidity from the air.

Use the temperature control dial to set the desired temperature.

To set the front defroster on high, press the fan speed control button to increase the fan speed to the maximum setting.

REAR WINDOW AND OUTSIDE MIRROR DEFROSTER SWITCH (if so equipped)

Push the rear window and outside mirror defroster switch REAR to turn the system on or off.

This function automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

OUTSIDE AIR CIRCULATION BUTTON

Press the outside air circulation button to draw outside air into the passenger compartment.

AIR RECIRCULATION BUTTON

Press the air recirculation button to recirculate interior air inside the vehicle.

The air recirculation mode cannot be activated when the air conditioner is in the front defroster mode.

This mode helps to adjust the inside vehicle temperature more effectively.

To automatically control air intake inside the vehicle, press and hold either the outside air circulation button or the air recirculation button (whichever indicator light is illuminated). Both of the indicator lights will flash twice, and then the air intake will switch to automatic control.

UPPER VENT BUTTON

When the upper vent button is pressed, the air flow against the drivers or passengers upper body becomes gentle. The indicator light on the button will illuminate.

In this mode, air from the upper vent flows to control the cabin temperature without blowing air directly on the occupants.

A/C BUTTON

Press the A/C button to manually turn the A/C on or off.

When on, the A/C system cools the air and removes humidity to help prevent window fogging.

REAR BUTTON This button will allow the front controls to operate the front or rear climate

control systems. To operate the rear climate control system from the front, press the REAR

button so that the light illuminates and the Rear Climate screen is displayed. To adjust the front climate control system, press the REAR button again.

REAR HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONER To activate the system:

1. Press the REAR button on the front control panel until the Rear Climate screen is displayed.

The indicator light will illuminate.

The fan speed, temperature, AUTO and OFF buttons will now control the rear climate control system.

2. Press the REAR button again, and the screen will return to what was previously displayed.

The indicator light will stay illuminated to indicate that the rear climate control system is active.

OFF button Turns off the rear climate control system and REAR button indicator light.

Fan speed control buttons Press or to increase or decrease fan speed.

Temperature increase and decrease buttons Adjusts the rear temperature up or down .

AUTO button The system automatically works to keep air flow and fan speed at a constant temperature.

MODE button Changes the air flow mode. The air flow modes are:

The air outlet is fixed at foot level.

HEADLIGHT CONTROL SWITCH HEADLIGHT CONTROL Turn the headlight control switch to the

position to turn on the front parking, tail, license plate and instrument panel lights. Turn the switch to the position to turn on the headlights.

AUTOLIGHT SYSTEM The autolight system will automatically turn the headlights on when it is dark

and off when it is light. The system will keep the headlights on for a period of time after you turn the ignition off and all doors are closed.

To activate the autolight system, turn the headlight control switch to the AUTO position then turn the ignition switch to ON. To deactivate the autolight system, turn the headlight control switch to the OFF position, position or position .

HIGH BEAM SELECT With the headlights ON (either in the AUTO

or position), push the headlight control switch forward to select the high beam function. The blue indicator light will illuminate in the instrument panel. Pull the headlight switch back to the original position to select the low beam. The blue indicator light will extinguish.

Pull and release the headlight control switch to flash the headlight high beams on and off.

FOG LIGHT SWITCH (if so equipped) The headlights must be on and the low beams selected for the fog

lights to operate. Turn the switch (inside collar) to the position to turn on the fog lights. Turn the switch (inside collar) to the OFF position to turn off fog lights. LANE CHANGE SIGNAL Move the lever up or down until the turn signal begins to flash but the

lever does not latch to signal a lane change. Hold the lever until the lane change is completed.

Move the lever up or down until the turn signal begins to flash but the lever does not latch and release the lever. The turn signal will automatically flash three times.

Choose the appropriate method to signal a lane change based on the road and traffic conditions.

WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH Move the lever to one of the following

positions to operate the windshield wipers:

Mist (MIST) One sweep operation of the front wipers.

Auto (AUTO) (if so equipped) Operates the rain-sensing wipers intermittently. The intermittent speed can be adjusted by twisting the time control ring to increase or decrease wiper sensitivity.

Low (LO) Front wipers operate at a continuous low-speed.

High (HI) Front wipers operate at a continuous high-speed.

Front washer Pull the lever toward you to activate the front washer. The front wipers will operate several times.

INTELLIGENT REAR VIEW MIRROR (if so equipped) The Intelligent Rear View Mirror provides a clear rear view from a camera

located on the rear of the vehicle. Intelligent Rear View Mirror has two modes: conventional rearview mirror mode and Intelligent Rear View Mirror mode (camera view mode). You can switch between these two modes by the mode select lever .

When the Intelligent Rear View Mirror mode is on, the settings menu can be selected by pressing the menu button .

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) WITH EASY-FILL TIRE ALERT

The low tire pressure warning light and a CHECK TIRE PRESSURE warning will illuminate when one or more tires are low in pressure and air is needed.

Current tire pressure of all tires (except the spare) may be visible on the Tire Pressure screen within the vehicle information display when the vehicle is driver at speeds above 16 mph (25 km/h).

Adjust the tire pressure to the recommended tire pressure shown on the Tire and Loading Information label located in the drivers door opening.

When the low tire pressure warning light flashes for approximately 1 minute and then remains on, the TPMS is not functioning properly. It is recommended that you have the system checked by a Nissan dealer.

EASY-FILL TIRE ALERT

When adding air to an under-inflated tire, the TPMS with Easy-Fill Tire Alert provides visual and audible signals to help you inflate the tire to the recommended tire pressure.

To use the Easy-Fill Tire Alert:

1. Move the shift lever to the P (Park) position and apply the parking brake.

2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position. Do not start the engine.

3. Add air to the under-inflated tire, and within a few seconds, the hazard warning lights will start flashing.

4. When the designated tire pressure is reached, the horn will beep once and the hazard warning flashers will stop.

5. Repeat this procedure for any additional under-inflated tires.

FUEL-FILLER DOOR The fuel-filler door is located on the drivers

side of the vehicle.

To open the fuel-filler door, press on the fuel-filler door then pull the lid open. The doors must be unlocked.

LOOSE FUEL CAP A Loose Fuel Cap warning message

will appear in the vehicle information display when the fuel-filler cap is not tightened correctly.

To tighten, turn the cap clockwise until a single click is heard.

The warning message will extinguish when the vehicle detects the fuel-filler cap is properly tightened and the

button is pressed for longer than one second.

If the cap is not properly tightened, the Malfunction Indicator Light may illuminate.

To fully open or close the moonroof, push the open or close side of the switch and release it. The roof will automatically open or close; it need not be held.

TILTING THE MOONROOF

To tilt up, first close the moonroof, then push the close side of the switch and release it; it need not be held. To tilt down the moonroof, push the open side of the switch.

The Help command can be used to hear a list of available commands at any time.

Reduce background noise as much as possible by closing windows and pointing HVAC vents away from the ceiling.

Speak naturally without long pauses and without raising your voice.

When speaking phonebook names, please be aware some cellular phones require the last name to be spoken before the first name. For example, Michael Smith may be spoken as Smith Michael.

To cancel a Voice Recognition session, say Cancel or Quit or press and hold the button on the steering wheel.

If the Voice Recognition system does not recognize your voice commands, train the system using the Speaker Adaptation Mode. See your Owners Manual for detailed information.

If prompted for a PIN, enter 1234 from the handset. (The PIN is assigned by NISSAN and cannot be changed.)

For cellular phones that support SSP (Simple Secure Pairing), confirm that the PIN on the vehicle display under Security Code matches the PIN displayed on the cellular phone.

6. When connecting is complete, the screen will return to the Phone screen.

PHONEBOOK

Depending on your cellular phone, the system may automatically download your cellular phones entire phonebook to the vehicles Bluetooth system.

If the phonebook does not download automatically, the vehicle phonebook may be set for up to 2,000 entries.

To manually download entries:

1. Press the SETTING button.

2. Touch Phone/Mail.

3. Touch Phone Settings.

4. Touch Phonebook/Favorites Settings.

5. Touch Manual Phonebook Transfer.

This will start downloading up to 2,000 entries from the cellular phone.

MAKING A CALL

To make a call, follow this procedure:

1. Press the button on the steering wheel. The Phone menu will appear on the control panel display.

2. Touch the Favorites, Call History, Phonebook or Dial Number key.

3. Select the desired entry from the list.

4. Dialing begins when the entry is selected or when the key is selected.

RECEIVING/ENDING A CALL

To accept the call, press the button on the steering wheel or touch the Answer key.

To decline the call, touch the Decline key.

AUDIO BUTTON/TUNE/FOLDER KNOB To manually tune the radio, turn the TUNE/FOLDER knob left or right. Press the AUDIO buttonto go to the audio settings screen.

SEEKCAT AND TRACK BUTTONS To scan quickly and stop at the previous or next broadcast station, press

the SEEKCAT button or the TRACK button. For satellite radio, press the SEEKCAT button or the TRACK button

to switch to the first channel of the previous or next category. To change tracks on a CD, press the SEEKCAT button or the

TRACK button. To rewind or fast forward a track on a CD, press and hold the

SEEKCAT button or the TRACK button. STATION PRESET BUTTONS

Six stations can be set for the AM band, 12 for the FM band and 18 for satellite radio.

To store a station in a preset, you must first select a radio band by pressing the RADIO button or MEDIA button then tune to the desired FM, AM or satellite radio station.

Next press and hold the desired station preset button (1-6) until the preset number is updated on the display and the sound is briefly muted. The channel indicator will then come on, and the sound will resume. Programing is now complete.

To retrieve a previously set station, select the radio band where the preset was stored then press the corresponding station select button (1-6).

NAVIGATION SYSTEM Your Navigation System can calculate a route from your current location to

a preferred destination. The real-time map display and turn-by-turn voice guidance will lead you along the route.

The Navigation System will continually update your vehicles position. If you have deviated from the original route, it will recalculate the route from your current location.

To help promote safe driving, some functions cannot be operated or have limited operation when the vehicle speed is above 5 mph (8 km/h). The on- screen text and keys for these restricted functions will be grayed-out or muted and cannot be selected while driving. These functions will become available again when the vehicle speed is reduced to 5 mph (8 km/h). Voice commands may be available for some of the restricted functions.

SiriusXM Travel Link provides access to real-time weather information and forecasts, nearby fuel prices, movie listings, sports scores and stock quotes.

SiriusXM Traffic provides information that may help to avoid delays due to traffic incidents. Traffic jams, roadwork, road closures around the current location, etc., are represented graphically on the map by icons depicting the nature of the event. Incidents on the route are automatically displayed as they are approached.

Once enabled, the text message, sender and delivery time are shown on the control panel display when the vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/h).

Text messages have the option of being read aloud.

Once the vehicle is in motion, text messages can only be replied to using the Voice Recognition button on the steering wheel.

Text messages can be created manually when the vehicle is not in motion.

Custom text messages must be created in advance.

Many cellular phones may require special permission to enable text messaging. Check the cellular phones screen during Bluetooth pairing. DVD ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (if so equipped) With this entertainment system, you can play

video files via a DVD or CD, providing images and sound both from the front and rear display screens.

WATCHING A DVD

1. Insert a DVD into the DVD slot .

2. The DVD will play automatically.

To watch or control videos on the front display, make sure the vehicle is in the P (Park) position and the parking brake is applied.

REAR DISPLAYS

To turn the rear displays on or off from the front seats:

1. Press the SETTING button on the control panel.

2. Select the Rear Display key on the display.

3. Toggle the L (Left) or R (Right) display on or off.

To access standard DVD controls on the front display while playing a DVD on the rear display, press the DISC button

on the control panel while the vehicle is in the P (Park) position and the parking brake is applied.

To turn the rear displays on or off from the rear seats:

1. Select the desired seat by sliding the DISPLAY SELECT switch on the remote control to the L (Left) or R (Right) position.

2. Press the POWER button on the remote control.

To control the DVD from the rear seats, use the remote control.

OPERATING TIPS

You can also connect auxiliary devices, such as video games, camcorders or portable video players, to the auxiliary jacks. (Your device will be controlled through its own control panel.)

Rear Auxiliary Mode allows rear seat passengers to independently display different sources on each screen.

Use the headphones, also provided with the system, to listen to audio wirelessly and independently.

For the best audio sound quality, please make sure you are facing the monitor directly in front of you.

To reduce driver distraction, movies will not be shown on the front display while the vehicle is in any drive position.

DRIVING FEATURES BLIND SPOT WARNING (BSW) (if so equipped) The BSW system helps to alert the driver

when another vehicle moves into the vehicles detection zone.

An indicator light located near the outside mirrors will illuminate if the radar sensors detect a vehicle in the detection zone.

The indicator light will illuminate after the ignition switch is ON and the BSW is enabled. This indicates that the BSW is operational.

INTELLIGENT CRUISE CONTROL (ICC) VEHICLE-TO-VEHICLE DISTANCE CONTROL MODE

To set Vehicle-To-Vehicle Distance Control mode, press the CRUISE ON/OFF button on the steering wheel. The CRUISE indicator light will illuminate.

Accelerate to the desired speed.

Push down on the COAST/SET switch on the steering wheel and release it.

Intelligent Cruise Control will be set to the desired speed.

Press the distance button on the steering wheel repeatedly to change the set distance between long, middle and short.

When a vehicle is not detected ahead of you in the lane, the set distance and set vehicle speed indicator lights will illuminate in set mode.

When a vehicle is detected ahead of you in the lane, the vehicle ahead detection, set distance and set vehicle speed indicator lights will illuminate in set mode.

To reset at a faster cruising speed, push and hold the ACCEL/RES switch on the steering wheel. When the vehicle attains the desired speed, release the switch.

To reset at a slower cruising speed, push and hold the COAST/SET switch on the steering wheel. Release the switch when the vehicle slows to the desired speed.

To cancel the preset speed, push the CANCEL switch on the steering wheel or tap the brake pedal. The set vehicle speed indicator will extinguish.

To turn off Intelligent Cruise Control, press the CRUISE ON/OFF button on the steering wheel. The CRUISE indicator light in the instrument panel will extinguish.

INTELLIGENT AROUND VIEW MONITOR (if so equipped) With the ignition switch in the ON position,

activate the Intelligent Around View Monitor by pressing the CAMERA button , located on the control panel, or by moving the shift lever to the R (Reverse) position. The monitor displays various views of the position of the vehicle.

AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB) The AEB can assist the driver when there is a risk of a forward

collision with a vehicle ahead in the traveling lane.

The AEB operates at speeds greater than 3 mph (5 km/h).

If there is a risk of a forward collision, an audible tone will sound and the vehicle ahead detection indicator light will illuminate. If the driver applies the brakes after the warning and the AEB detects that there is still the possibility of a forward collision, the system will automatically increase the braking force. If the driver does not take action, the AEB will issue a second flashing visual warning , an audible warning and also apply partial braking.

There are some areas where the system will not detect objects:

When in the front or the rear view display, an object below the bumper or on the ground may not be detected .

When in the birds-eye view, a tall object near the seams of the camera detecting areas

will not appear in the monitor.

The distance between objects viewed on the Intelligent Around View Monitor differs from the actual distance.

Objects in the birds-eye view will appear further than the actual distance.

MOVING OBJECT DETECTION (MOD) (if so equipped)

The MOD system helps inform the driver of moving objects around the vehicle.

The system will operate when the shift lever is in the D (Drive), N (Neutral), R (Reverse) or P (Park) position and the vehicle is driven at speeds of approximately 5 mph (8 km/h) or less.

If the MOD system detects moving objects, a yellow frame will be displayed on the camera image.

When the following is displayed:

Green MOD icon ; the system is active.

Gray MOD icon; the system is not active.

No MOD icon; the system is off. The indicator will also be off if all of the warning systems are deactivated using the Settings menu.

The MOD system will not operate if the liftgate is open.

HILL START ASSIST The Hill Start Assist system allows time for the driver to release the brake pedal and apply the accelerator when the vehicle is parked on a hill. The brakes are applied automatically for 2 seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal.

The Hill Start Assist system will operate automatically under these conditions:

The shift lever is shifted into a forward or a reverse gear.

The vehicle is stopped completely on a hill by applying the brake.

The Hill Start Assist system will not operate when the shift lever is in the N (Neutral) or P (Park) position or when the vehicle is on a flat and level road.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW) AND INTELLIGENT LANE INTERVENTION (I-LI) (if so equipped) The LDW system can help alert the driver when the vehicle is traveling too close

to either the left or the right side of a traveling lane.

The system will operate when the vehicle is driven at speeds of approximately 45 mph (70 km/h) and above and only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road.

When the vehicle approaches either the left or the right side of the traveling lane, the LDW system will chime and the orange LDW light on the instrument panel will blink to alert the driver.

The I-LI system can assist the driver in returning the vehicle to the center of the traveling lane by applying individual brake pressure to the left or right wheels for a short period of time.

The LDW system can be turned on and off through the center display. To temporarily turn off the system, push the warning systems switch on the instrument panel.

When the system is off, the indicator light on the switch is off.

INTELLIGENT BACK-UP INTERVENTION (I-BI) (if so equipped) The I-BI system can help alert the driver of an approaching vehicle or objects

behind the vehicle when backing out of parking spaces.

The rear radar sensors detect the approaching vehicle from up to approximately 49 ft (15 m) from the bumper.

INTELLIGENT FORWARD COLLISION WARNING (I-FCW) The I-FCW system can help alert the

driver of sudden braking by the second vehicle traveling ahead of your vehicle in the same lane.

The I-FCW system operates at speeds above approximately 3 mph (5 km/h).

If there is a potential risk of a forward collision, the I-FCW system will warn the driver with the vehicle ahead detection indicator light and an audible warning tone will be heard.
