Safety Precautions (Always read these precautions before using this product.)
Before using this product, read this manual and the relevant manuals introduced in this manual carefully and pay full attention
to safety to handle the product properly.
In this manual, the safety precautions are ranked as " WARNING" and " CAUTION".
Note that the CAUTION level may lead to a serious accident according to the circumstances.
Always follow the instructions of both levels because they are important to personal safety.
Save this manual to make it accessible when required and always forward it to the end user.
[Design Precautions]
WARNING Create safety circuits externally to ensure that the entire system operates safely even if the external
power supply or the product is in failure.
Not doing so may cause an accident due to a false output or malfunction.
Create the following circuits externally: emergency stop circuits, protection circuits, interlock circuits
that prevent an invert operation (such as a forward/reverse rotation), and interlock circuits that prevent
a machine breakage (such as positioning at the upper or lower limit).
Before operating the product connected with a peripheral, read the peripheral manual carefully to
ensure safety.
Some failures of the product, expansion board, or cables may keep the outputs on or off.
Some failures of the touch panel may cause a malfunction of input objects such as a touch switch.
Create an external monitoring circuit to check for output signals which may lead to a serious accident.
Not doing so may cause an accident due to a false output or malfunction.
Do not use the product as a warning device that warns you of danger, or a serious accident may
occur.
For the device that displays or outputs a serious warning, provide an independently redundant
hardware or mechanical interlock.
Not doing so may cause an accident due to an incorrect output or malfunction.
The product cannot detect a failure of its backlight.
In the event of a backlight failure, do not touch the touch panel because touch switches are operable.
Doing so may cause an unintended operation.
WARNING Indicates that incorrect handling may cause hazardous conditions, resulting in death or severe injury.
CAUTION Indicates that incorrect handling may cause hazardous conditions, resulting in minor or moderate injury or property damage.

[Mounting Precautions]
CAUTION Do not run the control line cables and communication cables together with or near the main circuit
cables, power line cables, or other cables. Keep a distance of 100 mm or more between them as a
guide.
Not doing so may cause a malfunction due to noise.
When selecting a fuse or breaker for the external circuit, consider the specification values of fusing,
detection characteristics, and inrush current.
When using an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), do not use the one that outputs square waves.
Do not press the display section of the product with a pointed material such as a pen or screwdriver.
Doing so may cause a breakage or failure.
Turn on the controllers and the network devices to make them ready for communication before they
communicate with the product.
Not doing so may cause a communication error on the product.
When the product is subject to vibrations or impacts or when the product screen displays a specific
color, the screen may flicker.
WARNING To maintain the security (confidentiality, integrity, and availability) of this product and the system
against unauthorized access, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, computer viruses, and other
cyberattacks from unreliable networks and devices via network, take appropriate measures such as
firewalls, virtual private networks (VPNs), and antivirus solutions.
WARNING Before installing or removing the product on or from the control panel, shut off all phases of the
external power supply used by the system.
Not doing so may cause a product failure or malfunction.
Before installing or removing an expansion board, shut off all phases of the external power supply
used by the system.
Not doing so may cause a failure or malfunction of the product and expansion board.

[Wiring Precautions]
CAUTION Use the product in the environment that satisfies the general specifications described in this manual.
Not doing so may cause an electric shock, fire, malfunction, product damage, or product deterioration.
Do not touch the conductive or electronic parts of the product.
Doing so may cause a failure or malfunction.
When mounting the product on the control panel, tighten the mounting screws to the specified torque
(0.44 Nm to 0.54 Nm) with a Phillips-head screwdriver No. 2.
Undertightening may cause the product to drop, short circuit, or malfunction.
Overtightening may break the screw or product, resulting in a drop, short circuit, or malfunction.
Tighten the following screws to the specified torque.
SSD slot fixing screw: 0.29 Nm
SSD fixing screw: 0.2 Nm
Power supply connector screw: 0.2 Nm
Functional grounding screw: 0.49 Nm
Undertightening may cause a drop, failure, or malfunction.
Overtightening may break the screw or product, resulting in a drop, failure, or malfunction.
Do not use or store the product in an environment subject to direct sunlight, high temperatures, dust,
high humidity, or frequent vibration.
Do not operate the product with its display section frozen.
The water droplets on the display section may freeze at a low temperature.
Touch switches and other input objects may malfunction if the display section is frozen.
Do not operate the touch screen when it is wet.
Doing so may cause touch switches and other input objects to malfunction.
Before turning on the product, wipe the touch screen dry with a soft cloth.
WARNING Before installation or wiring, make sure to shut off all phases of the external power supply used by the
system.
Not doing so may cause an electric shock, product failure, or malfunction.
After installation, wiring, or other work, make sure to attach the back cover to the product before
turning on the power and starting operation.
Not doing so may cause an electrical shock.

[Startup and Maintenance Precautions]
CAUTION Make sure to ground the FG terminal of the power supply section solely for the product (ground
resistance: 100 or less, cross-sectional area of the ground cable: 2.0 mm2 or more).
Not doing so may cause an electric shock or malfunction.
Securely connect the connector of an external controller to the product.
Not doing so may cause a malfunction due to poor contact.
Do not run the control line cables and communication cables together with or near the main circuit
cables, power line cables, or other cables.
Keep a distance of 100 mm or more between them as a guide.
Not doing so may cause a malfunction due to noise.
House the wires and cables connected to the product in ducts, or fix them with clamps or nylon bands.
Not doing so may cause the following to occur, resulting in a malfunction.
Cable dangling or swinging
Damage to the product or cables due to accidental pulling of the cables
Poor cable connection
Check the interface type, and perform wiring correctly.
Incorrect wiring (such as connecting a cable to an improper interface) may cause the failure of the
product or external device.
Make sure that no foreign matter, such as chips and wire offcuts, enters the product.
Not doing so may cause a fire, failure, or malfunction.
When removing a cable from the product, do not pull the cable portion.
For the cable with a connector, hold the connector to remove the cable.
Wiring must be performed by qualified maintenance persons who have been trained to avoid electric
shocks.
For the wiring method, refer to this manual.
Tighten the terminal screws in the power supply section of the product to the specified torque (0.20
Nm).
Undertightening may cause a short circuit or malfunction.
Overtightening may break the screw or product, resulting in a short circuit or malfunction.
When connecting a wire to the power supply section of the product, directly connect a stranded wire
or a single wire, or use a rod terminal with an insulation sleeve.
WARNING Do not touch the terminals while power is on.
Doing so may cause an electric shock or malfunction.
Never charge, disassemble, heat, short-circuit, solder, or strike the battery, and never expose the
battery to liquid.
Doing so may cause the battery to heat up, explode, ignite, or leak, resulting in injury or fire.
Before retightening the terminal screws, connector screws, or product fixing screws, or cleaning the
product, shut off all phases of the external power supply used by the system.
Not doing so may cause an electric shock.

CAUTION Do not disassemble or modify the product.
Doing so may cause a failure, malfunction, injury, or fire.
When using a wireless communication device such as a cell phone or PHS phone, keep a distance of
25 cm or more away from the product.
Not doing so may cause a malfunction.
Do not touch the conductive or electronic parts of the product.
Doing so may cause a product malfunction or failure.
Before touching the product, make sure to touch a grounded metal or other conductive material to
discharge static electricity.
Not doing so may cause a product failure or malfunction.
When removing a cable from the product, do not pull the cable portion.
Doing so may break the product or cable, or cause a malfunction due to poor contact of the cable.
Do not drop or strike the product.
Doing so may break the product.
WARNING Noise may cause unstable touch operation or incorrect detection of the touched position.
In the case of incorrect detection, an untouched object may operate, causing an incorrect output or
malfunction. An unexpected operation may occur accordingly.
The display section of the product is made of glass. If it is broken, pieces of glass may scatter.
Prevent possible injury.
The adhesion of water or other conductive substances to the touch panel may cause an incorrect
input or incorrect detection of the touched position.
CAUTION Before turning off the product, shut down Windows.
Not doing so may corrupt the data on the SSD.
Do not turn off the product upon Windows shutdown.
Doing so may corrupt the data on the SSD as it may be in the process of being accessed.
Make sure that the POWER LED has turned orange, wait 15 seconds or more, and then turn off the
product.
The access time to the SSD depends on the usage environment.
CAUTION Before cycling the power to the input power supply, turn off the product and wait 10 seconds or more.

[Transportation Precautions]
CAUTION Do not remove the data storage from the product while the data storage is being accessed, or the data
storage and files may be damaged.
When installing a USB device into the USB interface of the product, insert the device into place.
Not doing so may cause a malfunction due to poor contact.
Before installing an expansion board or SSD, make sure to shut off all phases of the external power
supply used by the system.
Not doing so may cause an electric shock, product damage, or malfunction even if the product is shut
down.
When installing an SSD into the product, tighten the screws firmly.
CAUTION Dispose of the product as industrial waste.
When disposing of batteries, separate them from other wastes according to the local regulations.
For the details of the battery regulations in the EU member states, refer to "Handling of batteries and
devices with built-in batteries in the EU member states" in this manual.
CAUTION When transporting lithium batteries, follow the transportation regulations.
For the details of regulated models, refer to "Precautions for transporting batteries" in this manual.
The product is a precision device. During transportation, make sure that the product will not be subject
to shocks beyond the general specifications described in this manual.
Not doing so may cause a product failure.
Check if the product operates correctly after transportation.
Prevent the entry of halogens (including fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine) contained in
fumigants used for fumigating wood packaging materials, or a product failure may occur.
Make sure that fumigant residues will not enter the product, or use an alternative (heat treatment or
others) to fumigation.
Before packing the product, disinfect wood packaging materials and eliminate insects from the
materials.
Precautions regarding Warranty This product was jointly developed and manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Advantech Co., Ltd.
For the warranty, pay attention to the following remarks.
Warranty
For repairs during the gratis warranty term, refer to "Warranty" in this manual.
If replacement parts become unavailable, some specifications may change or the product may not be repaired even within
the repair term.
It may take some time to respond to the problem or repair the product depending on the condition and timing.

(1) In using the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation industrial personal computer (MELIPC), the usage conditions shall be that the application will not lead to a major accident even if any problem or fault should occur in the MELIPC, and that backup and fail-safe functions are systematically provided outside the MELIPC for any problem or fault.
(2) MELIPC is designed and manufactured for applications in general industries and others. Thus, the following special applications shall be excluded from the MELIPC applications. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation shall have no responsibility or liability (including, but not limited to any and all responsibility or liability based on contract, warranty, quality assurance, tort, and product liability) for any damage of any kind caused by use of the MELIPC in any application unintended or excluded. Nuclear power plants and any other power plants operated by power companies, and applications in which the public
could be affected Railway companies, public service, and applications in which establishment of a special quality assurance system is
required Aircraft, medical, railway applications, incineration and fuel devices, manned transportation equipment, recreation and
amusement devices, safety devices, and applications in which human life or property could be greatly affected (3) Mitsubishi Electric shall have no responsibility or liability for any problems involving MELIPC trouble and system trouble
by unauthorized access, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, computer viruses, and other cyberattacks.

2.1 Mounting the product on the control panel The following explains how to mount the product on the control panel.
Mount the product on the control panel with due consideration of operability, maintainability, and environmental resistance.
Installation environment Install the product in the environment that is specified in the general specifications. (Page 66 Product specifications)
Do not install or store the product in the following locations.
Doing so may cause a fire, failure, or deterioration in performance.
Location where the ambient temperature is outside the range of 0 to 55
Location where the ambient humidity is outside the range of 10 to 90% RH
Location where condensation may occur due to a sudden change in temperature or humidity
Location where corrosive gas or chemicals, flammable gas, or radioactive materials may be present

Mounting the product on the control panel The following shows how to mount the product on the control panel.
Installation procedure The following explains how to mount MI3315G-W as an example.
1. Insert each screw into the screw hole of a fitting included with the product.
2. Make sure that the waterproof gasket is in place, and align the product with the opening in the control panel.
3. Install the fittings on the product from the back of the control panel.
For the installation positions of the fittings and the number of the fittings, refer to the following.

4. Tighten each screw to the specified torque (0.44 Nm to 0.54 Nm) with a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver to fix the product.

2.2 Wiring the power supply The following explains wiring the power supply of the product.
Connecting a power cable or ground cable 1. Insert power cables and a ground cable into each terminal of the power supply connector, and tighten the screws to the
specified torque (0.2 Nm).
2. Insert the power supply connector into the power supply terminal of the product, and tighten the screws to the specified
torque (0.2 Nm).
3. Connect the power cables to the power supply of the system, and connect the ground cable to the control panel.
Use an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to safeguard against instantaneous power failure.
Do not use a UPS that outputs square waves.

Grounding Ground the product independently if possible. The ground resistance must be 100 or less, and the cross-sectional area of
the ground cable must be 2.0 mm2 or more.
Use the thickest ground cable possible (2.5 mm2 maximum). Install the product as close as possible to the ground point to
shorten the ground cable.
If the product cannot be grounded independently, perform shared grounding using ground cables in the same length.

2.3 Installing an expansion board You can install an expansion board on the M.2 (2280) SATA interface, mini PCI Express interfaces, or PCI Express interface.
The following shows how to install an expansion board.

3.1 Setting up Windows When you turn on the MI3000 for the first time or after Windows recovery, the Windows Setup starts.
Follow the setup wizard, and set up Windows.
Afterward, change the default settings of Windows as necessary. (Page 37 Changing the default settings)
Even if you select a display language other than English, the US keyboard layout (101 keys) will be applied.
To use any other keyboard, change the keyboard layout setting.

Precautions
Do not shut down or restart Windows, or do not turn off the MI3000 until the setup is complete. Otherwise, Windows may
not be set up properly. *1

Setup procedure 1. Select a language to be used in Windows.
2. Set the following, and select the [Next] button.
Select your home country or region.
Select your preferred application language according to the language selected in step 1.
If you have selected any language other than [Japanese] in step 1, select a keyboard layout.
If you have selected [Japanese] in step 1, the US keyboard layout is applied.
For changing the keyboard layout to the Japanese layout, refer to the following.

3. Check the license terms, and select the [Accept] button.
4. Select whether to use Express settings.
To use Express settings, select the [Use Express settings] button.

5. Set a user name and a password, and select the [Next] button.

When connecting to the Internet, performing a manual Windows Update is recommended to apply Security
Update for Windows.
After Windows Update, restart Windows manually if Windows recommends to do so.
Otherwise, Security Update content may not be applied since an automatic restart after Windows Update is
disabled in this product.

3.2 Recovering the Windows system The following shows how to recover the Windows system.
Recover the system if Windows does not work.
Create a system image before recovering the system.
Precautions
Do not turn off the MI3000 during Windows recovery. Otherwise, Windows may not start properly.
In such a case, recover the Windows system again.
Creating a system image The following shows how to create a system image.
1. Connect an external drive such as an HDD to the USB port of the MI3000.
2. Select the Start button, [Windows System], and then [Control Panel].
3. Select [Backup and Restore (Windows 7)].
4. Select [Create a system image], and save the system image to the external drive.
5. To create a system repair disc, connect an external DVD drive and insert a blank disc.
6. Select [Create a system repair disc], and select the DVD drive.
7. Select [Create disc] to create a system repair disc.

Recovering the system The following shows how to recover the system.
1. Prepare the external HDD that stores the system image data.
2. Insert the system repair disc into an external DVD drive.
3. Connect the HDD and the DVD drive to the USB ports of the MI3000, and start the MI3000.
4. On the BIOS screen appearing upon startup, press the [Delete] key.
5. Select the [Boot] tab. In [Boot Option Priority], select the external DVD drive as the first drive, and the SSD built in the
MI3000 as the second drive.
6. On the [Save & Exit] tab, execute [Save Changes and Reset].
7. The MI3000 restarts and displays a message saying [Press any key ......]. Press any key, and wait a few minutes for the
next step.
8. On the [Choose your keyboard layout] screen, select a keyboard layout.
9. On the [Choose an option] screen, select [Troubleshoot].
10.On the [Advanced options] screen, select [System image recovery].
11. On the [System image recovery] screen, select [Windows 10].
12.On the [Select a system image backup] screen, select [Use the latest available system image (recommended)] and
select [Next].
13.On the [Choose additional restore options] screen, select [Next].
14.A message appears saying [Your computer will be restored from the following system image:]. Check the creation date
and time of the system image for restoring the system, the computer on which the image is created and the drive to be
restored, and then select [Finish].
15.A message appears saying [All data on the drives to be restored will be replaced with the data in the system image. Are
you sure you want to continue?]. Select [Yes].
16.A message appears saying [Windows is restoring your computer from the system image. This might take from a few
minutes to a few hours.]. Restoring the selected drive starts. Wait for a while.
17. The MI3000 restarts. Check that the specified drive has been restored.

3.3 Changing the default settings After setting up Windows, change the default settings of Windows as necessary.
Afterward, restart the MI3000.
Windows Update settings To prevent a forced restart of Windows after the automatic updating of Windows Update while the MI3000 is running, the
following group policy is enabled.
Changing the settings Change the Windows Update settings in the following procedure.
1. Perform one of the following operations to open the Local Group Policy Editor.
On the [Run] screen, enter "gpedit.msc" for [Open] and execute the file.
In the search box on the taskbar, enter "gpedit.msc" and execute the file.
In Command Prompt, enter "gpedit.msc", and execute the file.
2. On the Local Group Policy Editor, select [Local Computer Policy] [Computer Configuration] [Administrative
Templates] [Windows Components] [Windows Update] [No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled
automatic updates installations].

IP address settings The IP address of the connected Ethernet port is acquired at the initial startup of Windows.
The IP address settings of the Ethernet port are user-changeable in [Ethernet].
Change the IP address settings of the Ethernet port as necessary.

If the Ethernet cable is connected improperly, the [Ethernet] icon is marked with an X. Connect the Ethernet cable properly.

5.1 Starting GT SoftGOT2000 The following shows how to start GT SoftGOT2000.
GT SoftGOT2000 is usable without a USB license key on the MI3000.
There is no risk of a USB license key being stolen or damaged, and no USB port is used for a USB license
key.
1. Select the Start button [MELSOFT] [GT Works3] [GT SoftGOT2000]. The software license agreement screen
appears at the first startup. Select the [Agree] button if you agree to the agreement.
2. In the dialog requesting the administrator authority, select the [OK] button.
3. GT SoftGOT2000 starts.
4. Open a project created with GT Designer3.

5.2 Starting GT SoftGOT2000 automatically The following shows how to configure the settings with [Task Scheduler] of Windows to start GT SoftGOT2000 automatically
upon startup of the MI3000.
To use this automatic startup, make sure to turn on the device to be monitored, and then start the MI3000.
1. Start GT SoftGOT2000, and read the project data to be used at automatic startup of GT SoftGOT2000.
2. In the [Environment Setup] dialog, select the [Auxiliary Setup] tab, and clear [Display the dialog about administrator
authority when starting GT SoftGOT2000].
3. Select [Online] [Startup in Online Mode] to set GT SoftGOT2000 into the mode.
4. Exit GT SoftGOT2000.
5. Search for "task" in the search box on the right of the Start button, and select [Task Scheduler] from the search results.
6. Select [Actions] [Create Task] to display the [Create Task] dialog. On the [General] tab, configure the following
settings.
Enter a name for [Name].
Select [Run with highest privileges].
Select [Windows 10] for [Configure for].

8. On the [Actions] tab, select the [New] button to display the [New Action] dialog. Configure the following settings.
Select [Start a program] for [Action].
Specify the executable file of GT SoftGOT2000 for [Program/script].

9. On the [Settings] tab, configure the following settings.
Select [If the task fails, restart every] as necessary.

Ethernet interface The following shows the specifications of the Ethernet interfaces.
The MI3000 determines the communication speed (1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, or 10BASE-T) and duplex
mode (full duplex or half duplex) according to the hub connected. To use a hub that does not support the auto-
negotiation function, set the communication speed and duplex mode of the MI3000 for the hub.
Ethernet cable Use an Ethernet cable that satisfies the following conditions.
Hub If you connect the MI3000 to an Ethernet network via a hub, use a hub that supports the communication speed of the MI3000.
Checking the operation status Check the LEDs on the Ethernet interfaces to check operation status.
The time from when an Ethernet cable is connected until when the LEDs turn on may vary. The LEDs
normally turn on in a few seconds. The MI3000 may try to connect to an Ethernet network repeatedly
depending on the status of the devices on the network, taking a longer time to turn on the LEDs.
If the LEDs do not turn on, make sure that the Ethernet cable has no abnormalities.
When the MI3000 communicates with any device on an Ethernet network at 10 Mbps, the left LED turns off.
Check the communication status using the Ping command or other methods.

Switching between the RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 interfaces For the RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 interface, you can switch between RS-232 mode and RS-422/RS-485 mode with the BIOS
on Windows.
The following shows how to switch RS-232 mode to RS-422/RS-485 mode.
1. Start the OS, and select [Settings] from the start menu to display the [Windows Settings] screen.
2. Select [Update & security], and select [Recovery] from the menu on the left.
3. In [Advanced startup], select [Restart now].
4. In the [Choose an option] screen, select [Troubleshoot].

A
Installation on a control panel This product is an open type device (designed to be integrated into equipment) and must be installed on a control panel.
This restriction ensures safety and has a large effect of suppressing noise from this product.
Control panel The control panel must be conductive.
When bolting the top or bottom plate of the control panel enclosure, do not coat the plate and bolt surfaces so that they
contact each other. Connect the control panel enclosure and its door using a thick ground cable to ensure a low impedance
under high frequency.
When bolting an inner plate to the inside of the control panel enclosure, ensure the largest conductive area possible on the
plate surface. For example, do not coat the bolting area on the plate.
Ground the control panel enclosure using a thick ground cable to ensure a low impedance under high frequency.
The diameter of a cable hole on the control panel must be 10 cm or less. If the diameter of the hole is more than 10 cm,
radio waves may leak. To reduce the chance of radio waves leaking out, minimize the space between the control panel
enclosure and its door. Pasting an EMI gasket directly on the painted surface can seal the space, reducing the leak of radio
waves. Our test has been carried out on a control panel enclosure having the damping characteristics of 52 dB max. and 37
dB mean (measured by 3 m method with 30 to 300 MHz).
Connection of a power cable or ground cable Provide a ground point near the product to ground the product via the control panel, short-circuit the frame ground (FG)
terminal of the product, and ground it with the thickest and shortest cable possible. (The cable length must be 30 cm or
shorter.) As the FG terminal transmits the noise generated in the product to the ground, ensure the lowest impedance
possible accordingly. As the ground cable transmits noise, the cable itself carries a large amount of noise accordingly. Short
wiring prevents the cable from acting as an antenna.
Twist the ground cable from the ground point and the power cable together. Doing so can transmit a larger amount of noise
from the power cable to the ground.

Noise filter (power supply line filter) A noise filter is a part to effectively reduce conducted noise.
Although installing a noise filter on the power supply cable is not mandatory, doing so can suppress a larger amount of noise.
(The noise filter is effective to reduce conducted noise in the band of 10 MHz or less.)
Use a noise filter equivalent to the following noise filters.
The following shows the precautions for installing a noise filter.
Do not bundle the input and output cables of the noise filter together. Doing so inducts noise from the output-side cable to
the input-side cable where noise has been eliminated by the noise filter.
Ground the ground terminal of the noise filter via the control panel with the shortest cable possible (approximately 10 cm).

Perchlorate regulations for the State of California From December 31, 2006, California's perchlorate regulations require labeling the warning note on the packages for products
that have lithium primary batteries containing 6 ppb or more of perchlorate. However, the battery for this product does not

Precautions for disposal As the EU member states have a separate collection system for waste batteries, dispose of batteries properly at the local
community waste collection or recycling center accordingly.
The following symbol is printed on batteries and packaging of devices with built-in batteries.
The symbol indicates that batteries need to be disposed of separately from other wastes.
The symbol is valid in the EU member states only.

Appendix 10Precautions for repairing the product The following shows precautions for repairing the product.
During repair, the software and data contained on the product may be deleted, and the product may be reset to its factory
defaults. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the data stored in memory
incurred by a failure, malfunction, theft during transportation, or any other reasons.
Before sending your product for repair, you should maintain a separate backup copy of the product's data. Once your
product is received, it is determined that the data has been backed up.
If you send your product from outside Japan, remove the following software applications and data from the product
beforehand. Software subject to export control laws or regulations (e.g. encryption software)
Software or data that is your trade secret
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will take responsibility to erase or destroy the data stored in the memory removed during
repair. Note that Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will not return the removed memory and will not issue a certificate of data
erasure and destruction.

Warranty Please check the following product warranty details before using this product.
If any faults or defects (hereinafter "Failure") found to be the responsibility of Mitsubishi Electric occurs during use of the product within the gratis warranty term, the product shall be repaired at no cost via the sales representative or Mitsubishi Electric Service Company. However, if repairs are required onsite at domestic or overseas location, expenses to send an engineer will be solely at the customer's discretion. Mitsubishi Electric shall not be held responsible for any re-commissioning, maintenance, or testing on-site that involves replacement of the failed module.
The gratis warranty term of the product shall be for eighteen (18) months after the date of purchase or delivery to a designated place. Note that after manufacture and shipment from Mitsubishi Electric, the maximum distribution period shall be six (6) months, and the longest gratis warranty term after manufacturing shall be twenty-four (24) months. The gratis warranty term of repair parts shall not exceed the gratis warranty term before repairs.
1. Failure occurring from inappropriate storage or handling, carelessness or negligence by the user. Failure caused by the user's hardware or software design.
2. Failure caused by unapproved modifications, etc., to the product by the user. 3. When the Mitsubishi Electric product is assembled into a user's device, Failure that could have been avoided if functions or
structures, judged as necessary in the legal safety measures the user's device is subject to or as necessary by industry standards, had been provided.
4. Failure that could have been avoided if consumable parts designated in the instruction manual had been correctly serviced or replaced.
5. Replacing consumable parts such as a battery, relay, and fuse. 6. Failure caused by external irresistible forces such as fires or abnormal voltages, and Failure caused by force majeure such as
earthquakes, lightning, wind and water damage. 7. Failure caused by reasons that could not be predicted by scientific technology standards at the time of shipment from
Mitsubishi Electric. 8. Any other failure found not to be the responsibility of Mitsubishi Electric or that admitted not to be so by the user.
[Gratis Warranty Term]
[Gratis Warranty Range] (1) The customer shall be responsible for the primary failure diagnosis unless otherwise specified.
If requested by the customer, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation or its representative firm may carry out the primary failure diagnosis at the customers expense. The primary failure diagnosis will, however, be free of charge should the cause of failure be attributable to Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
(2) The range shall be limited to normal use within the usage state, usage methods, and usage environment, etc., which follow the conditions and precautions, etc., given in the instruction manual, user's manual and caution labels on the product.
(3) Even within the gratis warranty term, repairs shall be charged in the following cases.
Gratis Warranty Term and Gratis Warranty Range
(1) Mitsubishi Electric shall accept onerous product repairs for five (5) years after production of the product is discontinued. Discontinuation of production shall be notified with Mitsubishi Electric Technical Bulletins, etc.
(2) Mitsubishi Electric shall not accept a request for product supply (including spare parts) after production is discontinued.
Onerous repair term after discontinuation of production
Overseas, repairs shall be accepted by Mitsubishi Electric's local overseas FA Center. Note that the repair conditions at each FA Center may differ.
Overseas service
Regardless of the gratis warranty term, Mitsubishi Electric shall not be liable for compensation to: Exclusion of loss in opportunity and secondary loss from warranty liability
