Ensure that the unit is used on a stable and level surface. If the floor surface is uneven there is a risk that the appliance could tip over. Also, excessive vibration and noise may occur. If the appliance should be accidentally tipped over, please immediately disconnect from the power supply.

Do not use the appliance in wardrobes or near fabrics or clothing. Do not stand the appliance on deep pile carpets.

Do not use the appliance in areas where petrol, paints or other flammable substances are used or stored.

Do not use in very dusty areas as dust may accumulate on the heating elements and cause overheating.

Do not use if there are any visible signs of damage to the appliance. Do not operate the appliance in direct sunlight, near heat sources, humid

environments or in places near water or other liquids such as bathrooms, showers or swimming pools.

Do not operate with wet hands or spill water or other liquids on to the appliance, the mains cable or plug.

Always unplug the appliance when not in use. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. CAUTION - Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns.

Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

The heater must not be located immediately below a mains socket. Do not allow children to play with the appliance or sit, stand, or climb on it. Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area where the appliance is in

use. For safety reasons a broken or damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the

manufacturer or a similarly qualified person.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Children of less than 3 years old should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

Do not block or restrict the airflow around the appliance. Position the unit so that the air inlet and exhaust grilles are not blocked or restricted in anyway.

Do not push any objects in the air inlet and exhaust grilles. This appliance is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring the

opening of the oil container are only to be performed by an authorised, qualified technician who should be contacted if there is an oil leakage.

When disposing of the appliance, follow the local regulations concerning the disposal of oil.

Do not use the appliance with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the appliance on automatically. A fire risk exists if the appliance is covered or positioned incorrectly.

You will also find some hints and tips to help you resolve any issues. Read all the safety instructions carefully before use and keep this instruction manual for future reference.

Product Overview

Unpacking

Remove all items from the packaging. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it please do so according to local regulations.

Operation

Position the heater upright on the floor away from curtains, furniture or wall coverings before plugging into the mains socket.

Press the Power Switches to the I (low) or II (medium) position, or to both I and II positions (high).

Turn the Thermostat Control clockwise to raise the temperature or anti-clockwise to lower the temperature. It is recommended to select the highest setting to get the unit to pre-heat. It will take approximately 15 minutes for the heater to fully heat up.

When the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the Thermostat Control slowly anti- clockwise until the indicator goes off. Your unit will automatically set an on-and-off cycle to maintain the current room temperature according to the thermostat setting.

To turn off the heater, press the Power Switches to the 0 (Off) position. The power indicator light will turn off.

Unplug the unit from the mains socket when it is left unattended or not in use.

Cleaning & Storage

Your heater should be cleaned regularly to prevent dirt and dust from building up which will affect its performance.

Always unplug the mains cable from the mains socket and allow the heater to cool down before cleaning.

Wipe the unit with a soft damp (not wet) cloth.

Coil up the mains cable onto the cord storage. Store the heater in a cool dry place.

Hints & Tips

My heater does not work when I turn it on: Check that your heater is plugged in and the power is turned on.

Check if the thermostat setting is too low.

If the heater still does not work, do not try to repair the heater yourself. Please leave all maintenance work to qualified personnel.

If your heaters power is automatically cut off, follow the steps below: 1. Unplug your heater and allow it to cool down.

2. Inspect your heater.

3. Plug in the heater and switch it on again. If it cuts off again, move the heater to a better ventilated location.

4. If there is any sign of physical damage (e.g. melting, or burning of the case), do not attempt to use your heater. Please leave all maintenance work to qualified personnel.

Ensure you unplug your heater from the mains socket and wait for the heater to cool down completely before cleaning.

Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not use any cleaning chemicals such as detergents and abrasives.

Safety Protective Device

The unit has two levels of over-heat protection.

Automatic thermal cut-off

Switches off the heater in the event of overheating or malfunction and resets once the temperature resumes to normal level.

Thermal fuse

In the event that the automatic thermal cut-off fails to resume the heater to normal level, the thermal fuse will be activated. This is a non-resettable protective switch which will require the unit to be returned to an Approved Service Agent for replacement.

If overheating or malfunction continues, return the unit to an Approved Service Agent for examination.

Do not plug your heater into a mains socket while you are assembling the product.

1. Install the 4 wheels onto the 2 supporting plates by using a spanner.

2. Turn the unit upside down.

3. Wrap the U shaped screw in between the 1st and 2nd radiator fins.

4. Hook the wheels and supporting plate into the screw.

5. Insert the butterfly nut and screw it tightly on.

6. Wrap the U shaped screw in between the 6th and 7th radiator fins. Repeat step 4-5.

7. Check that the wheels are not loose before each use.

It is hazardous if you turn on the heater when it is upside down.

Before use, remember to double check that the heater is standing upright on a firm and level surface.
