Safety Warnings Read all the instructions carefully

before using the unit and keep them for future reference.

Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a third party make sure to include this manual.

Check that the voltage marked on the rating label matches your mains voltage.

Damage Please inspect the unit for damage

after unpacking. Do not continue to operate the unit if

you are in any doubt about it working normally, or if it is damaged in any way - switch off, withdraw the mains adapter and consult your dealer.

Location of Unit The unit must be placed on a flat

stable surface and should not be subjected to vibrations.

Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable surfaces as the unit may fall off or tip over.

The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily accessible.

Temperature Avoid extreme degrees of

temperature, either hot or cold. Place the unit well away from heat sources such as radiators or gas/ electric fires.

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.

Naked Flames Never place any type of candle or

naked flame on the top of or near the unit.

Moisture To reduce the risk of fire, electric

shock or product damage, do not expose this unit to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the unit.

If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause serious damage. Switch it off at the mains immediately. Unplug the mains plug and consult your dealer.

Ventilation To prevent the risk of electric shock

or fire hazard due to overheating, ensure that curtains and other materials do not obstruct the ventilation vents.

Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another confined space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.

Safety Always disconnect the unit from the

mains supply before connecting/ disconnecting other devices or moving the unit.

Unplug the unit from the mains socket before a lightning storm.

In the interests of safety and to avoid unnecessary energy consumption, never leave the unit switched on while unattended for long periods of time, e.g. while on holiday. Switch it off and disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket.

cable, as the weight of the unit may damage the cable and create a safety hazard.

Mains Adapter The mains adapter will continue

to draw electricity from the mains supply when plugged in the mains socket. In the interests of safety and to avoid unnecessary energy consumption, never leave the adapter plugged in the mains socket while unattended for long periods of time. Disconnect the adapter from the power supply.

Interference Do not place the unit on or near

appliances which may cause electromagnetic interference. If you do, it may adversely affect the operating performance of the unit, and cause a distorted sound.

Batteries Batteries used in the unit are easily

swallowed by young children and this is dangerous.

Keep loose batteries away from young children and make sure that the battery holder tray is secure in the unit. Seek medical advice if you believe a cell has been swallowed.

Please dispose of batteries correctly by following the guidance in this manual.

Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or sources of excessive heat.

Supervision Children should be supervised to

ensure that they do not play with the unit.

Never let anyone especially children push anything into the holes, slots or any other openings in the case - this

could result in a fatal electric shock.

Service To reduce the risk of electric shock,

Do not open any fixed covers as this may expose dangerous voltages.

Maintenance Ensure to unplug the unit from the

mains socket before cleaning. Do not use any type of abrasive pad

or abrasive cleaning solutions as these may damage the units surface.

Do not use liquids to clean the unit.

Product Overview

Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it please do so according to local regulations.

1. Battery compartment Insert 2 x AAA battery (for backup only).

2. FM/AM indicators Indicates radio mode FM or AM.

3. Display Shows the time or radio frequency when changing radio stations.

4. Sleep indicator Indicates when the sleep mode is active.

5. Alarm indicator Indicates if Alarm 1 or 2 is set.

6. Aerial lead Fully extend the aerial before tuning in a radio station.

7. Snooze button When the alarm sounds press the Snooze button to switch the alarm off for 9 minutes.

8. Tune - / Min button Press to search down the

radio frequency in AM or FM radio mode.

Press the adjust the minutes in time adjust mode.

9. Tune + / Hour button Press to search up the radio

frequency in AM or FM radio mode.

Press the adjust the hours in time adjust mode.

10. Standby/Mode button Press to switch the clock

radio on. Press and hold to switch the

clock radio into standby. Press to switch between AM

and FM modes when the clock is switched on.

11. Time button Press the time button in standby mode to adjust the time.

12. Vol - / AL 1 button Press to decrease the

volume. Press and hold to set alarm 1. Press to activate the alarm 1.

13. Vol + / AL 2 button Press to increase the volume. Press and hold to set alarm 2. Press to activate the alarm 2.

14. Sleep Button Press to activate sleep mode. 120 - 90 - 60 - 30 - 15 mins

To switch sleep mode off continually press until the sleep indicator light switches off.

15. Preset button Press and hold to enter a

preset radio station. Press to select a preset radio

station.

Installing Backup Batteries

The backup batteries will keep the time if your clock radio is disconnected from the mains power. The time will NOT be displayed.

Handling the Battery Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery

leakage, which could cause fire, personal injury or damage to property.

Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery compartment.

Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.

Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix different types of batteries.

Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.

If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the batteries to avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover.

2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries. Make sure you install the batteries the correct way around. Observe the polarity instructions in the battery compartment.

Setting the Time

Your clock radio has a 24 hour clock. You can only adjust the time when the display is flashing.

1. Plug your clock radio into the mains and switch on that the socket. In STANDBY mode press the TIME button. The display will start to flash.

2. While the display is flashing press the MIN and HOUR buttons to select the time.

3. Press the TIME button to confirm the time. The clock is now set.

Tuning in Radio Stations

You can listen to AM or FM radio stations, before tuning in any radio station make sure you fully extend the aerial.

1. Press the MODE button to select AM or FM mode.

2. Press and hold the TUNE - or TUNE + buttons, your clock radio will automatically search up or down the frequency for the next radio station. To fine tune the radio station press the TUNE - or TUNE + buttons once at a time.

3. To adjust the volume press the VOL - or VOL + buttons.

Storing Radio Stations

Your clock radio can store up to 20 radio stations in its memory.

1. Tune to a radio station that you would like to store.

2. Press and hold the PRESET button, the display will start to flash.

3. Press the TUNE - or TUNE + buttons to select a program number between 1 -20, while the display is flashing.

4. Press the PRESET button to confirm the program number. Your radio station will now be stored.

Selecting a Stored Radio Station

While in FM or AM radio modes repeatedly press the PRESET button until you see your desired program number.

Setting an Alarm

You can set two different alarm on your clock radio, AL1 and AL2. Make sure the clock radio is set to the correct time before setting an alarm.

1. Make sure the clock radio is in STANDBY mode.

2. Press and hold AL1 for alarm 1 or AL2 for alarm 2. The display will flash 0:00.

3. Press the MIN and HOUR buttons to set the time you wish the alarm to sound.

4. Press the AL1 button if you are setting alarm 1 or AL2 is you are setting alarm 2. The display will now flash showing the last radio station that you were listening to.

5. Press the MIN or HOUR buttons to select an AM or FM radio station or a buzzer to wake you up.

6. Press the AL1 button if you are setting alarm 1 or AL2 if you are setting alarm 2 to confirm the setting.

The alarm is now set and the Alarm indicator light will be switched on next to AL1 or AL2 depending which alarm you set. If you set the alarm to wake you up with the radio, adjust the volume level to a level that will wake you up.

Switching the Alarm Off

When the alarm sounds you can press the SNOOZE button which will switch the alarm off for 9 mins, then it will sound again. The alarm indicator light will flash when SNOOZE mode is active.

To switch the alarm off after it sounds press the MODE/STANDBY button.

Deactivate the Alarm

In standby mode press the AL1 or AL2 buttons. The alarm indicator light will switch off. Your alarm is now deactivated.
