LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM (LKA)

The Lane Keeping Assist System detects lane markers on the road with a camera and assists the drivers steering to help keep the vehicle between lanes. The system operates when the vehicle speed is between 40 mph and 110 mph

To turn on the LKA, press the LKA switch

To turn off the LKA, press the switch again.

NOTE: In some circumstances, LKA may not activate as intended. ex: blurred lane condition, backlight, heavy fog, reflection of light due to water on the road, sharp bend in the road, etc. Please refer to the Owners Manual for more information.

VIRTUAL ENGINE SOUND SYSTEM (VESS)

The Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS) generates engine sound for pedestrians to hear vehicle sound because there is no sound while the Electric Vehicle (EV) is operating.

If the vehicle is moving at low speed, the VESS will operate. When the gear is shifted to R (Reverse), an additional warning

sound will be heard.

FORWARD COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSIST (FCA) Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system is designed to help detect and monitor the vehicle ahead in the roadway through camera recognition to warn the driver that a collision is imminent, and if necessary, apply emergency braking. On vehicles equipped with both front view camera and front radar sensor, a cyclist detection is also available.

Setting Forward Safety function The driver can activate FCA by placing the ignition switch to the ON position and by selecting: User Settings Driver Assistance Forward Safety Active Assist- Braking assist is applied Warning Only- Braking assist is not applied Off- System deactivates

DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION

( ) : Depress the brake pedal and press the shift button while moving the shift lever.

( ) : Press the shift button while moving the shift lever.

( ) : The shift lever can freely operate.

Shift the lever from D into the manual gate to activate manual shift mode. Manual shift mode is a recalibrated automatic mode that will hold gears longer and downshift at higher RPM for a more dynamic driving style.

Manual shift mode

ECO mode If you drive the vehicle with the shift lever in D (Drive), the vehicle will automatically change to ECO mode. The ECO indicator will illuminate on the instrument cluster. When driving in ECO mode, the vehicle improves fuel efficiency for eco-friendly driving.

SPORT mode If you drive the vehicle with the shift lever in S (Sport), the vehicle will automatically change to SPORT mode. The SPORT indicator will illuminate on the instrument cluster. When driving in SPORT mode, the vehicle provides more responsive powertrain performance, sporty but firm handling, and the fuel efficiency may decrease.

ECO/SPORT mode

NOTE: Dual Clutch Transmission characteristics The new technology of the Dual Clutch Transmission is different from a traditional automatic or manual transmission: The Dual Clutch Transmission is an automatically shifting manual transmission. Dual Clutch Transmission utilizes two clutches connected to a computer-controlled manual gearbox. It provides the convenience of a transmission that shifts automatically, with the efficiency of a manual transmission.

When you stop on a hill, if you remove your foot from the brake pedal, the vehicle will remain stationary for approximately two seconds to help prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards. If you depress the accelerator pedal during the two second interval, the vehicle will accelerate. If you wait more than two seconds, the vehicle will enter creep mode and may roll backwards if the hill is steep. Caution You should always use the foot brake to hold the car on a hill until you are ready to drive. Using creep mode to hold the car on a hill may damage the clutch. If the clutch becomes overheated by excessive use of the clutch to hold on a hill, you may notice a shudder feeling and a blinking display on the instrument cluster. When this occurs, the clutch is disabled until the clutch cools to normal temperatures. If this occurs, pull over to a safe location, shift into P (Park) and apply the foot brake for a few minutes.

When you turn the engine on and off, you may hear clicking sounds as the system goes through a self test. This is a normal sound for the Dual Clutch Transmission.

PADDLE SHIFTER

Press (-) to downshift

Press (+) to upshift

The Paddle shifter is available when the shift lever is in the D (Drive) position or Shiftronic mode. Press the [+] or [-] paddle shifter once to shift up or down one gear.

NOTE: When in ECO mode, the paddle shifter will adjust regenerative braking when in D (drive).
