This product is not intended to be used as a medical monitor and its use should not replace adult supervision.

Test sound reception of remote control receiver before first-time use and whenever you change location of transmitter.

To prevent entanglement: - Never place transmitter in a crib or playpen. Keep transmitter

and remote control receiver out of babys reach. - Never use extension cords with the AC adaptor.

Never use transmitter, crib soother or remote control receiver near water (ie.: bathtub, sink, laundry tub or wet basement, etc.).

Always use transmitter, crib soother and remote control receiver where there is adequate ventilation. To prevent overheating, keep transmitter, crib soother and remote control receiver away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, direct sunlight, stoves, amplifiers, or other appliances which produce heat.

Never attempt to modify this product. Always be sure the transmitter channel switch is set to the same

channel as the remote control receiver.

Fit the bolt into the slot on the back of the crib soother.

Insert the screw into the hole in the crib soother, as shown.

Fit the lock nut, rounded side out, into the hexagonal opening on the crib soother, as shown.

Tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.

Remote Control Receiver Battery Installation (Optional)

Locate the battery compartment door on the back of the remote control receiver.

Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screw- driver. Lift to remove the battery compartment door.

Snap the terminals of a fresh, 9V alkaline battery into the remote control receiver connectors.

Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.

The remote control receiver operates using the enclosed AC adaptor or battery power.

Crib Soother Battery Installation

Locate the battery compart- ment door on the back of the crib soother.

Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Lift to remove the battery compartment door.

Insert three D alkaline batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.

Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.

Hint: When battery power is too low, vibrations/sounds may not shut off or may not function properly as described in these instructions. Remove and replace all three batteries with three, new D (LR20) alkaline batteries.

Battery Tips Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove

exhausted batteries from the product. Battery leakage and corrosion can damage this product. Dispose of batteries safely.

Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak.

Never short circuit the battery terminals. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended in the

Battery Installation instructions are to be used. If a removable rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be

charged under adult supervision. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before

they are charged. If you use a battery charger, it should be examined regularly for

damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. Do not use a damaged battery charger until it has been properly repaired.

We recommend the use of alkaline batteries for longer battery life.

Testing Sound Reception

Test transmitter transmission and remote control receiver reception.

Set the channel switch on the transmitter to the same channel as the remote control receiver.

Place the transmitter in the room in which you intend to use it.

Slide power switch on.Turn on a radio.

Place the remote control receiver in the room in which you intend to use it.

Rotate the power/volume dial to turn power on.

Adjust the remote control receiver location.

Variable light display lights when sound is received by remote control receiver: - One or two dots light for

shallow sounds. - Three or more dots light for

louder sounds. If you experience interference

while using one channel setting, switch both units to the other channel. Selecting a channel is usually a one time adjustment.

Attach Crib Soother to Crib Rail

Fit the crib soother on top of the crib rail so that it faces baby.

Fit the clamp to the end of the bolt on the crib soother. Turn the clamp to secure the crib soother to the crib rail. Rock the crib soother back and forth to be sure it is secure on the crib rail.

If it is not secure, tighten the clamp again!

Hint: The speaker is located on the front of the crib soother. For best sound reception, we recommend placing the crib soother so that the speaker faces baby.

Place the transmitter in the same room with the baby. Point the trans- mitter microphone directly toward the crib or play area. The transmitter and the crib soother should be no more than 15 feet from each other.

Align the arrow on the transmitter dome with the arrow on the crib soother dome.

IMPORTANT! For best performance between the transmitter and the crib soother, avoid using in areas of bright light. Make sure the path between the transmitter dome and crib soother dome is in a direct line and free of obstacles.

Set the transmitter channel switch to the same channel as the remote control receiver.

Unwrap and fully extend the transmitter power cord for best transmission. Insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet.

Slide the transmitter power switch on. The power indicator lights.

After choosing a setting you will see a blinking red light on the front of the crib soother. The crib soother can receive a signal from the trans- mitter or remote control receiver for up to eight hours. After eight hours, the blinking red light turns off, and you will need to slide the mode switch on the crib soother off O and then to the desired setting.

There is a soothing button on the crib soother, transmitter and the remote control receiver. Press any of the buttons to activate your selec- tion on the crib soother. The crib soother turns on for about 10 minutes (the green light on the front of the crib soother turns on) and then automatically shuts off (the green light on the front of the crib soother also turns off ). If youd like to immediately turn off crib soother, press any of the soothing buttons again.

Rotate the volume dial on the crib soother to adjust volume.

Setup & Use Place the remote control receiver where you will see or hear it.

Unwrap and fully extend the AC adaptor cord for best reception. Insert the AC adaptor jack into the remote control receiver socket and plug into the wall outlet.

Note: To use a 9V alkaline battery as a power source, refer to Remote Control Receiver Battery Installation instructions on page 6.

Rotate the remote control receiver power/volume dial to turn the power on. The power indicator lights. Rotate the power/volume dial to adjust volume.

To soothe baby, press and hold the soothing button on the remote control receiver for about two seconds. The green light on the front of the crib soother turns on and baby enjoys vibrations/sounds.

The crib soother will turn off after approximately 10 minutes and the green light turns off. To turn it back on, simply press and hold the soothing button on the remote control receiver for about two seconds.

Move remote control receiver closer to transmitter. Note: Range varies depending on surrounding conditions such as noise levels, physical obstruc- tions and signal interference.
