Quick Setup Before using the projector, make sure you read the safety instructions in the Users Guide on your projector CD.

Connect the projector Choose from the following connections:

Computer USB Port

Connect a computer using a USB cable.

Connect the square end of the USB cable to the projectors USB TypeB (square) port. Connect the flat end of the cable to any USB port on your computer.

Windows 2000 SP4 or later: After turning on the projector, follow the on- screen instructions to install the Epson USB Display software (EMP_UDSE.EXE; only on first connection).

Note: If the software screen does not display automatically, open My Computer or Computer, then double-click EPSON_PJ_UD. If it still does not display, access the projectors Extended menu and select USB Display as the USB Type B setting. See the Users Guide on your projector CD for instructions.

Mac OS X 10.5.1 or higher: After turning on the projector, the setup folder for USB Display appears in the Finder. Double-click USB Display Installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Epson USB Display software (only on first connection).

Computer Monitor Port

Connect a computer using the VGA cable that came with the projector.

Connect one end of the cable to the projectors Computer1 or Computer2 port, and the other end to your computers monitor port. If you are using a notebook, switch it to external display (see Troubleshooting). You can also connect an audio cable.

Video Device

Connect up to 5 video devices and use the Source Search button on the projector or remote control to switch between them. (All cables are optional.)

Camera, USB Device, or Epson Document Camera DC-06

Connect a digital camera, USB flash drive, USB storage device, or Epson document camera DC-06 to the projectors USB TypeA (flat) port.

If you connect a digital camera, USB flash drive, or USB storage device, you can use the projectors Slideshow feature. See the Users Guide on your projector CD for details.

External Monitor and External Speakers

You can also connect an external monitor and external speakers to your projector to enhance your presentations. See the Users Guide on your projector CD for details.

Wired Network Monitoring (PowerLite 93)

You can connect the projector to your network using an Ethernet cable so you can monitor and control the projector over the network. See the Users Guide on your projector CD for details.

To monitor and control your projector over the network, download and install the EasyMP Monitor software and manual from the Epson support web site. You can install links to the download pages from your projector CD, or go to www.epson.com/support (U.S.) or www.epson.ca/support (Canada) and select your projector.

Turn on your equipment 1 Turn on your computer or video source.

2 Plug in the projector.

The power light on the projector turns orange.

3 Open the A/V Mute slide all the way.

4 Press the power button on the projector or remote control. The power light flashes green, then stays on.

Note: To shut down the projector, press the power button twice, then unplug it. You dont have to wait for the projector to cool down.

5 The default language of the menu system is English. To select another language, press the Menu button on the remote control. Select Extended and press Enter. Select Language and press Enter. Select your language and press Enter. Press the Menu to exit the menu system.

Adjust the image 1 If you dont see an image, press the Source Search button on the

projector or remote control to select the image source.

Note: If you still see a blank screen or have other display problems, see the troubleshooting tips on the right.

2 To raise the image, press the foot release button and lift the front of the projector. Release the button to lock the foot in position.

3 Turn the focus ring to sharpen the image, and the zoom ring to enlarge or reduce it.

4 If your image looks like or , youve placed the projector off to one side of the screen at an angle. Place it directly in front of the center of the screen, facing the screen squarely. Or press the or buttons on the projector to correct it.

5 If your image looks like or , press the or buttons on the projector to correct it.

Using the remote control Make sure the batteries are installed as shown (two AA batteries).

Troubleshooting If you see a blank screen or the No signal message after turning on your computer or video device, check the following:

Make sure the power light on the projector is green and not flashing, and the A/V Mute slide is open.

Press the Source Search button on the projector or the remote control to select the computer as the image source.

If youre using a Windows notebook, press the function key on your keyboard that lets you display on an external monitor. It may be labeled CRT/LCD or have an icon such as . You may have to hold down the Fn key while pressing it (such as Fn + F7).

On a Macintosh, select the Mirror Displays setting in the System Preferences Displays utility.

4 Appuyez sur le bouton dalimentation du projecteur ou la tlcommande. Le tmoin dalimentation clignote en vert, puis, il demeure allum.

Remarque : Pour mettre le projecteur hors tension, appuyez deux fois sur le bouton dalimentation et dbranchez le projecteur. Vous navez pas besoin dattendre le refroidissement du projecteur.

5 Langlais est la langue par dfaut dans le systme des menus. Pour voir les menus en franais, appuyez sur le bouton Menu de la tlcommande ou du projecteur. Slectionnez le menu Extended et appuyez sur le bouton Enter, ensuite slectionnez Language et appuyez sur le bouton Enter. Slectionnez Franais et appuyez sur Enter. Lorsque vous avez termin, appuyez sur le bouton Menu pour quitter le systme de menus.

Branchez le projecteur Choisissez parmi les connexions suivantes :

Branchez un ordinateur en utilisant le cble VGA qui est fourni avec le projecteur.

Branchez lune des extrmits du cble dans le port Computer1 ou Computer2 du projecteur, et lautre extrmit dans le port du moniteur de votre ordinateur. Si vous utilisez un ordinateur portatif, slectionnez le mode daffichage externe (consultez la section Dpannage ). Vous pouvez aussi brancher un cble audio.

Branchez jusqu 5 dispositifs vido et utilisez la touche Source Search du projecteur ou de la tlcommande pour basculer dun dispositif lautre. (Tous les cbles sont optionnels.)

Rglez limage 1 Si vous ne voyez pas dimage, appuyez sur la touche Source Search du

projecteur ou de la tlcommande pour slectionner la source dimage.

Remarque : Si lcran est toujours vide ou si vous prouvez des problmes daffichage, consultez les conseils de dpannage droite.

2 Pour hausser limage, appuyez sur le bouton du levier de rglage et soulevez le devant du projecteur. Relchez le bouton pour verrouiller la patte dans la position dsire.

3 Faites tourner la bague de mise au point jusqu ce que limage soit nette et faites tourner la bague de zoom pour rduire ou agrandir limage.

4 Si votre image ressemble ou , le projecteur est dcal vers un ct ou lautre par rapport au centre de lcran. Placez le projecteur tout fait droit devant le centre de lcran; le projecteur doit tre plac perpendiculairement par rapport lcran. Appuyez sur la touche ou du projecteur pour la corriger.

5 Si votre image ressemble ou , appuyez sur les touches ou du projecteur pour la corriger.

Tlcommande Assurez-vous que les piles sont installes tel quillustr (deux piles AA).

Dpannage Si vous voyez un cran vide ou que le message Pas de signal saffiche aprs avoir mis sous tension votre ordinateur ou source vido, vrifiez ce qui suit :

Assurez-vous que le tmoin dalimentation du projecteur est vert et quil ne clignote pas et que la glissire A/V Mute est ouverte.

Appuyez sur la touche Source Search du projecteur ou de la tlcommande pour slectionner lordinateur comme source dimages.

Si vous utilisez un ordinateur portatif Windows, enfoncez la touche de fonction de votre clavier qui vous permet dafficher sur un moniteur externe. Cette touche peut galement tre tiquete CRT/LCD ou peut tre identifie par une icne comme . Il est possible que vous deviez maintenir la touche Fn du clavier de votre ordinateur portatif enfonce au mme moment (comme Fn + F7).

Sous Macintosh, slectionnez le paramtre Moniteurs en miroir dans lutilitaire Moniteurs sous Prfrence Systme.

Mac OS X 10.5.1 ou version ultrieure : Aprs avoir mis le projecteur sous tension, le dossier de configuration pour USB Display saffiche dans le Finder. Double-cliquez sur USB Display Installer et suivez les directives lcran pour installer le logiciel Epson USB Display (seulement pour la premire connexion).

Port moniteur de lordinateur

Branchez un ordinateur en utilisant le cble VGA qui est fourni avec le projecteur.

Branchez lune des extrmits du cble dans le port Computer1 ou Computer2 du projecteur, et lautre extrmit dans le port du moniteur de votre ordinateur. Si vous utilisez un ordinateur portatif, slectionnez le mode daffichage externe (consultez la section Dpannage ). Vous pouvez aussi brancher un cble audio.

Dispositif vido

Branchez jusqu 5 dispositifs vido et utilisez la touche Source Search du projecteur ou de la tlcommande pour basculer dun dispositif lautre. (Tous les cbles sont optionnels.)

Rglez limage 1 Si vous ne voyez pas dimage, appuyez sur la touche Source Search du

projecteur ou de la tlcommande pour slectionner la source dimage.

Remarque : Si lcran est toujours vide ou si vous prouvez des problmes daffichage, consultez les conseils de dpannage droite.

2 Pour hausser limage, appuyez sur le bouton du levier de rglage et soulevez le devant du projecteur. Relchez le bouton pour verrouiller la patte dans la position dsire.

3 Faites tourner la bague de mise au point jusqu ce que limage soit nette et faites tourner la bague de zoom pour rduire ou agrandir limage.

4 Si votre image ressemble ou , le projecteur est dcal vers un ct ou lautre par rapport au centre de lcran. Placez le projecteur tout fait droit devant le centre de lcran; le projecteur doit tre plac perpendiculairement par rapport lcran. Appuyez sur la touche ou du projecteur pour la corriger.

5 Si votre image ressemble ou , appuyez sur les touches ou du projecteur pour la corriger.

Tlcommande Assurez-vous que les piles sont installes tel quillustr (deux piles AA).

Dpannage Si vous voyez un cran vide ou que le message Pas de signal saffiche aprs avoir mis sous tension votre ordinateur ou source vido, vrifiez ce qui suit :

Assurez-vous que le tmoin dalimentation du projecteur est vert et quil ne clignote pas et que la glissire A/V Mute est ouverte.

Appuyez sur la touche Source Search du projecteur ou de la tlcommande pour slectionner lordinateur comme source dimages.

Si vous utilisez un ordinateur portatif Windows, enfoncez la touche de fonction de votre clavier qui vous permet dafficher sur un moniteur externe. Cette touche peut galement tre tiquete CRT/LCD ou peut tre identifie par une icne comme . Il est possible que vous deviez maintenir la touche Fn du clavier de votre ordinateur portatif enfonce au mme moment (comme Fn + F7).

Sous Macintosh, slectionnez le paramtre Moniteurs en miroir dans lutilitaire Moniteurs sous Prfrence Systme.
