PowerProtect Data Manager and VM Proxy Overview VM Proxy is the protection engine within PowerProtect Data Manager that allows you to manage and protect virtual machine assets.

PowerProtect Data Manager resource requirements on VMware environment

The PowerProtect Data Manager appliance has the following minimum system requirements for the VMware environment (ESXi server) it is running on:

l 10 CPU cores

l 18 GB (The ESXi server requires at least 18 GB of RAM available for PowerProtect Data Manager)

l Five total disks:

n Disk 1 of 100 GB

n Disk 2 of 500 GB

n Disk 3 of 10 GB

n Disk 4 of 10 GB

n Disk 5 of 5 GB

l One 1-GB NIC
