FIRST TIME USE

Before the appliance is used for the rst time, it must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section Cleaning and Maintenance.

Always use a suitable container for operation. A tall container with a wide at base is best.

Push the hand blender down into the ingredients in the bowl before briey switch- ing the appliance on with the operation button.

Make sure that the appliance can rotate freely inside the bowl and is not blocked during operation.

As soon as the operation button is released, the blender will switch o. Always wait until the motor has come to a complete stop before lifting the blender attachment from the mixture.

Always remove the mains plug from the wall socket after use.

SHOR T-TIME OPER ATION

The appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food; it may be operated without interruption for a maximum of 1 minute, after which it should then be allowed to cool down for approximately 10 minutes.

OPER ATION

The hand blender blends and mixes fast and easily. Use it to make sauces, soups, mayonnaise, purees, dietary and baby food, mixed drinks or cocktails.

Should you want to blend directly in the saucepan while cooking, rst take the pan away from the stove, to protect your hand blender from over heating.

To avoid splashing, insert the hand blender into the vessel rst, and then press the operation button.

Press and hold the operation button for continuous blending.

To turn o your hand blender, simply release the operation button.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always remove the mains plug from the mains socket before cleaning the appli- ance.

To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the drive unit or the mains cable with water and do not immerse them in water. The drive unit may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint- free cloth.

Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or sharp/pointed objects for cleaning.

The blade can be cleaned under hot, running water. Ensure that only the blender and blade units are cleaned this way. All other parts of the appliance must be kept well away from water. To remove persistent food residues, a suitable brush may also be used.
