13. Do not let power cord hang over edge of

moving the appliance containing hot oil or

16. Turn ALL switches to OFF position before

disconnecting power plug from the wall

supply outlet.

18. Do not use appliance for other than its

19. To avoid overheating, always add oil and

then kernels before operating.

20. Extreme caution must be used when

unloading popcorn. Always place the unit

over a countertop so that residual hot oil

or water running out will not cause burns.

POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS This appliance is for 120 volts only and should

not be used with a converter.

1. A short power supply cord is provided to

reduce the risk resulting from becoming

POPPING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Make sure the popcorn maker is unplugged

before you do any of the following.

2. Clean the internal surface of the kettle with

warm, sudsy water, rinse well and dry with a

clean cloth. Wipe down inner and outer hous-

ing with damp cloth.

3. Main unit has 2 function switches as follows:

Light/Warmer combination

POP switch to turn heater and stirrer on

4. Hook the kettle onto the hanger of the

main unit.

5. Plug the power cord into an electric outlet.

6. Insert the internal plug into the socket (see

Figure 5, previous page).

7. Turn the light switch to the ON position and

the POP switch to the ON position. The stir-

rer will begin to rotate in the kettle. Let the

stainless steel kettle preheat about 1 to 2

minutes. Open lid and add oil (1 tablespoon

of vegetable, corn, peanut, or saffl ower oil).

Immediately add cup of corn kernels and

close lid to the kettle. Caution: Lid might be

hot it is recommended to use an oven mitt.

NOTE: For your convenience, the lid to the kettle

is magnetized. Before adding oil or popcorn to

the kettle, lift kettle handle toward top of unit until

magnetic connection is made.

8. Popcorn starts popping out through the lid

after about 2 minutes. Yields up to 12 cups

per batch in less than 2 minutes.

9. When unit is fi nished popping you will no

longer hear the corn popping immediately

turn POP switch to the OFF position and

rotate the roller bar of the kettle down to

release any remaining popcorn in the popper.

This will also stop the remaining popcorn

from cooking any further and avoid possible

burning.

10. The light/warmer may be left in the ON

position.

11. Keep POP switch OFF if the unit is not

continuously in use.

12. Keep only the Light/Warmer switch on.

13. Remove plug from power supply if the unit is

not being used.

14. Repeat steps 7 to 10 for continuous popping.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE It is strongly recommended to clean the kettle

frequently to avoid burning excess oil onto the

bottom of the inner pot.

After using the popcorn machine, use a wet cloth

to clean the main unit, main body and glass. It is

strongly recommended to wash and dry the tray

after each use to avoid any bacteria buildup.

Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

LIGHT/WARMER The Light/Warmer bulb can be replaced with a

120V, 60W maximum bulb only.

QUICK CLEANING PROCEDURE Turn the POP control to OFF. Pour 5 to 8

ounces of water (NO detergent is necessary)

into inner pot. Switch to ON to boil the water and

let the stirrer turn in order to remove excess oil

stuck on the surface. After about 1 to 2 minutes

of boiling, pour out the water into a deep bowl or

sink to discard.

Or, remove the kettle and clean it with a scouring

pad. Do not immerse kettle or electrical plug in

water. CAUTION: THE KETTLE IS HOT.

are a consumer if you own a Cuisinart Kettle-

Style Popcorn Maker that was purchased at

retail for personal, family or household use.

Except as otherwise required under applicable

law, this warranty is not available to retailers or

other commercial purchasers or owners.

We warrant that your Cuisinart Kettle-Style

Popcorn Maker will be free of defects in

materials and workmanship under normal home

use for 3 years from the date of original

purchase. We recommend that you visit our

way to complete your product registration.

However, product registration does not eliminate

the need for the consumer to maintain the

original proof of purchase in order to obtain the

warranty benefits. In the event that you do not

have proof of purchase date, the purchase date

INSTRUCCIONES DE CONEXIN Conecte el cable a una toma de corriente de

120 V solamente; no utilice el aparato con un

convertidor de voltaje.

1. El cable provisto con este aparato es corto,

para reducir el peligro de que alguien se

2. Puede usarse una extensin elctrica con

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIN 1. Asegrese de que el aparato est

desconectado.

2. Lave el interior de la caldera con agua

jabonosa tibia, luego enjuguela bien y

squela con un pao limpio. Limpie el

interior y el exterior del aparato con un pao

ligeramente humedecido.

3. La unidad principal cuenta con dos controles:

LIGHT, para controlar la luz calentadora

POP, para controlar la caldera y el agitador

4. Cuelgue la caldera al soporte adentro de la

unidad principal.

5. Conecte el cable a una toma de corriente.

6. Conecte el cable de la caldera al enchufe

ubicado adentro de la mquina (vase la

figura 5 en la pgina anterior).

7. Ponga el botn LIGHT y el botn POP en

la posicin ON. El agitador empezar a

girar. Permita que la caldera caliente por

12 minutos. Abra la tapa de la caldera y

agregue 1 cucharada (15 ml) de aceite vegetal

o de aceite de maz, de man o de crtamo.

Agregue inmediatamente taza (80 g) de

granos de maz y cerrar la tapa de la caldera.

Precaucin: utilice un guante para el horno,

porque la caldera y la tapa estarn muy

calientes.

NOTA: para su comodidad, la tapa de la caldera

es magnetizada. Antes de aadir aceite o maz

a la caldera, alce la palanca de la caldera para

establecer la conexin magntica.

8. Las palomitas de maz empezarn a salir

por la tapa despus de aproximadamente 2

minutos. Su mquina puede preparar hasta

12 tazas (500 g) de palomitas en menos 2

minutos.

9. Inmediatamente despus de que el maz

termine de reventarse (ya no se escuchar

ruido), ponga el botn POP en la posicin

OFF y vace las palomitas maz que an se

encuentran en la caldera; esto evitar que se

quemen.

10. La luz calentadora puede permanecer

encendida.

11. Ponga el botn POP en la posicin OFF, a

menos que desee preparar ms palomitas.

12. Deje botn LIGHT en la posicin ON.

13. Al final del uso, desconecte el aparato.

14. Nota: para seguir preparando palomitas,

repita los pasos 7 a 10.

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO Limpie la caldera regularmente para evitar la

acumulacin de residuos de aceite quemado

en esta.

Limpie el interior de la mquina y la puerta con

un pao humedecido despus de cada uso. Lave

y seque la bandeja despus de cada uso para

evitar la proliferacin de bacterias.

Cualquie otro servicio debe ser realizado por un tcnico autorizado.

CAMBIO DE LA LUZ Reemplace la bombilla por una de 60 vatios

(120V) mximo.

LIMPIEZA RPIDA Ponga el botn POP en la posicin OFF. Vierta

58 onzas (150235 ml) de agua en la caldera.

Nota: NO es necesario usar detergente. Ponga

el botn POP en la posicin ON. Permita que

el agua hierva por 12 minutos para derretir los

residuos de aceite, y luego tire el agua.

O: retire la caldera de la unidad y lmpiela con

un estropajo. Nunca sumerja la caldera o la

clavija en agua u otro lquido. PRECAUCIN: LA CALDERA SE PONE MUY CALIENTE.
