INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Polishing Kit.

Before use, read this manual thoroughly and follow all instructions given.

The polishing kit it is designed to polish steel, brass, copper, nickel, chrome or silver objects.

ELECTRIC DRILL REQUIRED SPECIFICATIONS

1. The maximum speed of the electric drill must not exceed 3500 rpm.

2. The minimum chuck size of the electric drill must be at least 10 mm.

This CLARKE product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase.

WARNINGS

1. Do not use to polish dangerous items like knifes,

2. Ensure adequate ventilation during use.

3. Always wear protective clothing which includes safety goggles, dust mask and gloves when working with this kit,

4. Make sure that your work surface has been properly assessed for any potential hazards before starting work.

FIRST AID MEASURES (POLISHING COMPOUND)

After inhalation Supply fresh air, consult doctor in case of complaints

After skin contact Wash with soap and water and rinse thoroughly

After eye contact Rinse the opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

After swallowing Rinse out mouth and drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

WHAT IS SUPPLIED

The polishing kit is supplied with

1 tapered shaft

1 stick of polishing compound

1 polishing wheel

1 buffing wheel

SETUP

FITTING THE POLISHING WHEEL TO THE ELECTRIC DRILL 1. Fit the tapered shaft into the drill chuck.

2. Whilst holding the drill chuck with one hand, screw the polishing wheel onto the tapered shaft until it is secure.

BUFFING WHEEL. The buffing wheel is fitted in the same way as above.

ADDING COMPOUND TO THE POLISHING WHEEL 1. Squeeze the trigger on the drill.

2. When the wheel has reached maximum speed, apply the polishing compound to the wheel gently as shown.

3. Turn off the drill and allow it to come to a stop.

4. The polishing wheel is now ready for use.

USING THE POLISHING KIT

1. Secure your workpiece to prevent it from moving.

2. Squeeze the trigger on the drill.

3. When the wheel has reached maximum speed, apply the wheel to the item you want to polish gently.

4. Remove the polishing wheel and replace it with the buffing wheel.

5. Repeat step 2 to buff the item to a fine finish.
