Attach Damper Assembly to Fan

2. Position RADIATION DAMPER (A) down inside the FAN HOUSING (B). Align slots in the damper with holes in the fan housing. Secure damper with (4) #8 X 3/8 HEX HEAD SHEET METAL SCREWS (C) supplied in damper parts bag. Do not over tighten.

Install Hanger Bar Mounting Channels

1. Fasten mounting channels to the fan housing using screws (supplied with fan). Make sure tabs face up as shown. Use lower set of hole to mount the fan flush with bottom of drywall.

Install Fan / Radiation Damper In Ceiling

MAKE SURE FINISHED CEILING IS FLUSH WITH BOTTOM EDGE OF FAN HOUSING.

3. If the fan assembly is hung from the structure above, MINIMUM 12 GAUGE STEEL WIRE (3MM) must be used to suspend the fan. Use one wire on each side of fan and secure to mounting channels as shown.

4. If the fan is directly mounted to adjacent ceiling structure, use #8 (M4) SHEET METAL SCREWS OR DIAMETER BOLTS WITH NUTS to fasten SLIDING HANGER BARS. Sliding hanger bars are provided to allow for accurate positioning of fan between ceiling members.

Finish Fan Installation

5. Follow instructions packed with the fan to connect ductwork and electrical wiring.

6. Install corrugated MASK to protect damper and fan from drywall spray, construction dust, etc.

7. Finish ceiling around damper housing. Ceiling opening must be no larger than the outside of the radiation damper.

Install Grille

REMOVE THE MASK BEFORE INSTALLING GRILLE OR OPERATING FAN.

8. Squeeze GRILLE SPRINGS and slide into tabs on the radiation damper frame. Push GRILLE until its tight against ceiling surface.

9. Follow instructions packed with the fan to finish the installation.Leave this mask in place to prevent

Service Feature For Fans Warranty

Limited Warranty Warranty Period and Exclusions: Broan-NuTone LLC (the Company) warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its product (you) that the product (the Product) will be free from material defects in the Product or its workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. The limited warranty period for any replacement parts provided by the Company and for any Products repaired or replaced under this limited warranty shall be the remainder of the original warranty period. This warranty does not cover speed controls, fluorescent lamp starters, tubes, halogen and incandescent bulbs, fuses, filters, ducts, roof caps, wall caps and other accessories for duct- ing that may be purchased separately and installed with the Product. This warranty also does not cover (a) normal maintenance and service, (b) normal wear and tear, (c) any Products or parts which have been subject to misuse, abuse, abnormal usage, negligence, accident, improper or insufficient maintenance, storage or repair (other than repair by the Company), (d) damage caused by faulty installation, or installation or use contrary to recommendations or instructions, (e) any Product that has been moved from its original point of installation, (f) damage caused by environmental or natural elements, (g) damage in transit, (h) natural wear of finish, (i) Products in commercial or nonresidential use, or (j) damage caused by fire, flood or other act of God. This warranty covers only Products sold to original consum- ers in the United States by the Company or U.S. distributors authorized by the Company. This warranty supersedes all prior warranties and is not transferable from the original con- sumer purchaser. No Other Warranties: This Limited Warranty contains the Companys sole obligation and your sole remedy for defective products. The foregoing warranties are exclusive and in lieu of any other warranties, express or implied. THE COMPANY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES, AND DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY LAW, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. To the extent that applicable law prohibits the exclusion of implied warranties, the duration of any applicable implied warranty is limited to the period specified for the express warranty above. Remedy: During the applicable limited warranty period, the Company will, at its option, pro- vide replacement parts for, or repair or replace, without charge, any Product or part thereof, to the extent the Company finds it to be covered by and in breach of this limited warranty under normal use and service. The Company will ship the repaired or replaced Product or replacement parts to you at no charge. You are responsible for all costs for removal, rein- stallation and shipping, insurance or other freight charges incurred in the shipment of the Product or part to the Company. If you must send the Product or part to the Company, as in- structed by the Company, you must properly pack the Product or partthe Company is not responsible for damage in transit. The Company reserves the right to utilize reconditioned, refurbished, repaired or remanufactured Products or parts in the warranty repair or replace- ment process. Such Products and parts will be comparable in function and performance to an original Product or part and warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. Exclusion of Damages: THE COMPANYS OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE REPLACEMENT PARTS, OR REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT THE COMPANYS OPTION, SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND THE COMPANYS SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE OBLIGATION. THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNEC- TION WITH THE PRODUCT, ITS USE OR PERFORMANCE. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. This warranty covers only replacement or repair of defective Products or parts thereof at the Companys main facility and does not include the cost of field service travel and living expenses. Any assistance the Company provides to or procures for you outside the terms, limitations or exclusions of this limited warranty will not constitute a waiver of such terms, limitations or exclusions, nor will such assistance extend or revive the warranty. The Company will not reimburse you for any expenses incurred by you in repairing or re- placing any defective Product, except for those incurred with the Companys prior written permission. How to Obtain Warranty Service: To qualify for warranty service, you must (a) notify the Company at the address or telephone number stated below within seven (7) days of discov- ering the covered defect, (b) give the model number and part identification and (c) describe the nature of any defect in the Product or part. At the time of requesting warranty service, you must present evidence of the original purchase date. If your ventilation fan needs service, the inner damper can be removed from the outer frame without disturbing the surrounding ceiling material.

Remove the grille.

Remove (4) screws, then lower the inner damper to access ventilation fan. Replace the inner damper before operating fan.

Fixer le clapet au ventilateur

2. Positionnez le CLAPET ANTI-RAYONNEMENT (A) vers le bas lintrieur du BOTIER DU VENTILATEUR (B). Alignez les fentes du clapet sur les trous du botier du ventilateur. Fixez le clapet avec les quatre (4) VIS TLE TTE HEXAGONALE N 8 X 3/8 PO (C) fournies dans le sac de pices du clapet. Ne serrez pas trop ces vis.

Installer les profils de montage

1. Fixez les profils de montage au botier du ventilateur laide des vis (fournies avec le ventilateur). Assurez-vous que les ergots soient vers le haut, tel quillustr. Utilisez la srie infrieure de trous de montage pour fixer le botier du ventilateur galit avec le dessous du gypse.

Installer le ventilateur / clapet anti-rayonnement au plafond

ASSUREZ-VOUS QUE LE DESSOUS DU BOTIER DU VENTILATEUR EST AU RAS DE LA SURFACE FINIE DU PLAFOND.

3. Si lensemble de ventilateur est suspendu par des fils la charpente du plafond, utilisez du FIL DACIER SUSPENSION DE CALIBRE 12 AU MINIMUM (3 MM). Placez un fil de chaque ct du ventilateur et fixez-les aux profils de montage tel quillustr.

4. Si le ventilateur est fix directement la charpente du plafond, utilisez des VIS TLE N 8 (M4) OU DES BOULONS DE 1/4 PO DE DIAMTRE ET DES CROUS pour fixer les BARRES DE SUSPENSION COULISSANTES. Les barres de suspension fournies permettent de positionner avec prcision le botier du ventilateur entre les solives du plafond.

Terminer linstallation du ventilateur

5. Suivez les instructions accompagnant le ventilateur pour raccorder les conduits et le cblage lectrique.

6. Installez le MASQUE de botier pour protger le clapet et le ventilateur de la poussire de construction, etc.

7. Finissez le plafond autour du botier du clapet. Louverture pratique dans le plafond ne doit pas tre plus grande que le contour du clapet.

Installer la grille

RETIREZ LE MASQUE AVANT DINSTALLER LA GRILLE OU DE FAIRE FONCTIONNER LE VENTILATEUR.

8. Pincez les RESSORTS DE LA GRILLE et insrez-les dans les encoches du cadre du clapet. Repoussez la GRILLE contre la surface du plafond.

9. Suivez les instructions accompagnant le ventilateur pour terminer linstallation.

GarantieAccs au ventilateur pour lentretien Si le ventilateur doit tre entretenu ou rpar, la partie intri- eure du clapet peut tre retire du botier extrieur sans abmer le matriau environnant du plafond. Enlevez la grille et dbranchez toutes les connexions lec- triques de la grille. Enlevez les quatre (4) vis, puis abaissez le clapet intrieur pour accder au ventilateur. Replacez le clapet avant de faire fonc- tionner le ventilateur.

Garantie limite Priode de garantie et exclusions : Broan-NuTone LLC (la  Socit ) garantit au consom- mateur acheteur initial ( vous ) de son produit (le  Produit ) que celui-ci est exempt de tout vice de matriau ou de fabrication pour une priode de un (1) an compter de la date dachat originale. La priode de la garantie limite sur toute pice de remplacement fournie par la Socit et sur tout produit rpar ou remplac en vertu de la prsente garantie limite correspond au reste de la priode de garantie originale. Instale los canales de montaje de la barra de suspensin

1. Fije los canales de montaje a la cubierta del ventilador con los tornillos (incluidos con el ventilador). Asegrese de que las lengetas estn orientadas hacia arriba, como se muestra. Utilice el conjunto inferior de orificios para montar el ventilador al ras con la parte inferior de la tablarroca.

Fije el regulador con los cuatro (4) TORNILLOS METLICOS DE CABEZA HEXAGONAL #8 X 3/8 PULG. (C) que se suministran con la bolsa de piezas del regulador. No apriete en exceso.

Instale el ventilador/regulador de radiacin en el cielo raso ASEGRESE DE QUE EL CIELO RASO TERMINADO EST AL RAS CON EL BORDE INFERIOR DE LA CUBIERTA DEL VENTILADOR. 3. Si el conjunto del ventilador se va a colgar de la estructura

superior, se debe usar un ALAMBRE DE ACERO CON UN CALIBRE 12 (3 MM) COMO MNIMO para colgar el ventilador. Use un alambre a cada lado del ventilador para fijarlo a los canales de montaje como se muestra.

4. Si el ventilador se monta directamente a la estructura de cielo raso adyacente, use TORNILLOS DE CHAPA METLICA #8 (M4) O PERNOS DE 1/4 PULG. DE DIMETRO CON TUERCAS para fijar las BARRAS DE SUSPENSIN DESLIZANTES. Se proporcionan barras de suspensin deslizantes para facilitar la colocacin adecuada del ventilador entre las piezas estructurales del cielo raso.

Termine la instalacin del ventilador 5. Siga las instrucciones incluidas con el ventilador para

conectar los conductos y el cableado elctrico. 6. Instale la CUBIERTA corrugada a fin de proteger el regulador

y el ventilador de rocos de yeso, polvos de construccin, etc.

7. Termine el cielo raso alrededor de la cubierta del regulador. La abertura del cielo raso no debe ser ms grande que el exterior del regulador.

Instale la rejilla QUITE LA CUBIERTA ANTES DE INSTALAR LA REJILLA O DE ACTIVAR EL VENTILADOR. 8. Comprima los RESORTES DE LA REJILLA y deslcelos

dentro de las lengetas del marco del regulador de radiacin. Empuje la REJILLA hasta que est firme contra la superficie del cielo raso.

9. Siga las instrucciones incluidas con el ventilador para finalizar la instalacin.

Funcin de servicio para ventiladores

Garanta

Si su ventilador necesita servicio, puede quitar el regulador interior del marco exterior sin perturbar el material del cielo raso circundante.

Quite la rejilla.

Quite los cuatro (4) tornillos y luego baje el regulador interior para tener acceso al ventilador. Vuelva a colocar el regulador interior antes de activar el ventilador.

Garanta limitada Periodo y exclusiones de la garanta: Broan-NuTone LLC (la Compaa) garantiza al con- sumidor comprador original de su producto (usted) que el producto (el Producto) estar libre de defectos en materiales o en mano de obra, por un periodo de un (1) ao a partir de la fecha de compra original. El periodo de garanta limitada para cualquier pieza de repuesto proporcionada por la compaa y para cualquier Producto reparado o reemplazado bajo esta garanta limitada debe ser lo que reste del periodo de garanta original. Esta garanta no cubre controles de velocidad, arrancadores de lmparas fluorescentes, tubos, bombillas de halgeno e incandescentes, fusibles, filtros, conductos, tapas de techo, tapas de pared ni otros accesorios que pudieran ser comprados por separado e instalados con el pro- ducto. Esta garanta tampoco cubre (a) mantenimiento y servicio normal, (b) uso y desgaste normal, (c) Productos o piezas sujetos a mal uso, abuso, uso anormal, negligencia, accidente, mantenimiento inadecuado o insuficiente, almacenamiento o reparacin (que no sea reparacin por parte de la Compaa), (d) daos causados por instalacin defectuosa, o bien instalacin o uso contrario a las recomendaciones o instrucciones, (e) cualquier Producto que se haya movido de su punto de instalacin original, (f) daos ocasionados por el medio ambiente o los elementos naturales, (g) daos en trnsito, (h) desgaste natural del acabado, (i) Productos en uso comercial o no residencial, o (j) daos ocasionados por incendio, inundacin u otro caso fortuito. Esta garanta cubre solamente Productos vendidos a clientes originales en los Estados Unidos por la Compaa o a distribuidores de EE. UU. autorizados por la Compaa. Esta garanta sustituye todas las garantas anteriores y no es transferible del comprador con- sumidor original. No hay otras garantas: Esta garanta limitada contiene la nica obligacin de la Compaa y su nico recurso ante productos defectuosos. Recurso: Durante el periodo de garanta limitada aplicable, la Compaa, a su opcin, suminis- trar piezas de repuesto, o reparar o reemplazar, sin cargo alguno, cualquier Producto o pieza del mismo, hasta el grado en que la Compaa lo encuentre cubierto bajo esta garanta limitada y en incumplimiento de la misma en condiciones normales de uso y servicio. La Compaa le enviar el Producto reparado o reemplazado o las piezas de repuesto sin cargo. Usted es responsable de todos los costos de retiro, reinstalacin y envo, seguro u otros cargos de flete incurridos en el envo del Producto o pieza a la Compaa. Si debe enviar el Producto o la pieza a la Compaa, tal como lo indique la Compaa, debe empaquetar adecuadamente el Producto o la pieza: la Compaa no se hace responsable por los daos en trnsito. Exclusin de daos: LA OBLIGACIN DE LA COMPAA DE SUMINISTRAR PIEZAS DE REPUESTO, O DE REPARAR O REEMPLAZAR, A OPCIN DE LA COMPAA, SER SU NICO Y EXCLUSIVO RECURSO BAJO ESTA GARANTA LIMITADA, Y LA NICA Y EXCLUSIVA OB- LIGACIN DE LA COMPAA. LA COMPAA NO SER RESPONSABLE POR DAOS INCIDEN- TALES, INDIRECTOS, RESULTANTES O ESPECIALES QUE SURJAN POR EL USO O DESEM- PEO DEL PRODUCTO, O EN RELACIN CON EL MISMO. Algunos estados no permiten la exclusin o limitacin de daos incidentales o resultantes, por lo que la limitacin antes mencionada podra no aplicarse a usted. Cmo obtener el servicio cubierto por la garanta: Para tener derecho al servicio cubierto por la garanta, usted debe (a) notificar a la Compaa a la direccin o nmero de telfono que aparecen abajo en un plazo de siete (7) das despus de descubrir el defecto cubierto, (b) proporcionar el nmero de modelo y la identificacin de la pieza y (c) describir la naturaleza de cualquier defecto en el Producto o la pieza.
