Cet appareil a t conu pour la conservation daliments congels, la conglation daliments frais et la fabrication de glaons. Toute autre utilisation serait incorrecte.

L'installation doit tre effectue selon les instructions de ce manuel ; une mauvaise installation pourrait dtriorer l'appareil.

Pour les problmes ventuels de fonctionnement de l'appareil, adressez-vous toujours et exclusivement aux centres autoriss de Service Aprs-Vente ou bien du personnel qualifi.

Pour toute opration d'entretien, dbranchez pralablement l'appa- reil en vitant de tirer sur le cble d'alimentation.

Si ce conglateur en remplace un autre, qui ait un dispositif de fer- meture loquet, ressort, serrure ou autre, n'oubliez pas de dtruire le dispositif de fermeture ou, mieux encore, de dmonter la porte de votre ancien appareil afin d'viter que quelqu'un puisse tre bloqu l'intrieur (des enfants qui jouent, des animaux, etc).

Aprs avoir dball l'appareil, assurez-vous qu'il n'a pas t endom- mag. Dans cette ventualit, les dtriorations devront tre signa- les au revendeur dans les 24h qui suivent la livraison. Les mat- riaux employs pour l'emballage sont entirement recyclables (car- ton, plastique bulles de PE, EPS). Tenir ces matriaux hors de porte des enfants.

Le circuit de rfrigration de l'appareil renferme de l'isobutane rfrigrant, un gaz naturel peu polluant mais nanmoins inflamma- ble. Pendant le transport et l'installation de l'appareil, assurez vous qu'aucun des composants du circuit de rfrigration n'est endom- mag. En cas de dommage, le laisser l'cart des flammes et des sources d'inflammation et bien arer la pice o il se trouve.

Pour un fonctionnement optimal de l'appareil, installez-le loin des sources de chaleur et assurez-vous que l'air puisse bien circuler autour (voir Installation de l'appareil).

Cet appareil nest pas prvu pour tre utilis par des personnes (y compris les enfants) dont les capacits physiques, sensorielles ou mentales sont rduites, ou les personnes dnues dexp- rience ou de connaissances, sauf si elles ont pu bnficier, par lintermdiaire dune personne responsable de leur scurit, dune surveillance ou dinstructions pralables concernant lutilisation de lappareil.

Il convient de surveiller les enfants pour sassurer quils ne jouent pas avec lappareil.

Important : Avant de procder l'installation, lisez attentivement les consi- gnes de scurit, afin d'viter certains inconvnients.

Installez l'appareil dans une pice sans humidit et bien are, loin de toute source de chaleur. Laissez une distance minimum de 10 cm entre larrire du conglateur et le mur. De mme, laissez 10 cm de chaque ct de l'appareil.

La classe climatique de votre conglateur est indique sur la plaque signaltique. Elle dtermine le rang des tempratures ambiantes pour lequel l'unit frigorifique est conue, en garantissant le bon fonctionnement de l'appareil.

BRANCHEMENT ELECTRIQUE

Caractristiques de la prise : 220-240V avec prise de terre. Evitez d'utiliser des adaptateurs ou des rallonges. Evitez que le cble soit en contact avec le compresseur. Evitez que le cble soit pris sous l'appareil.

L'installation lectrique de l'appareil est dote d'une mise la terre. Pour votre scurit, connectez l'appareil une prise de courant dote d'une mise la terre efficace (conformment aux normes en vigueur sur la scurit de l'installation lectrique).

Le constructeur dcline toute responsabilit pour les dommages qui auraient t causs par le manque de mise la terre.

AVANT DE BRANCHER

Nettoyez l'intrieur du conglateur l'eau tide additionne de bicarbonate. Rincez et schez soigneusement. Attendez 2 heures avant la mise en fonctionnement pour assurer la stabilisation des lubrifiants du moto-compresseur.

PROTECTION DE L'ENVIRONNEMENT

Cet appareil ne contient pas, dans son circuit rfrigrant et ses matires isolantes, de gaz rfrigrants nocifs la couche d'ozone. Il ne doit pas tre mis au rebut avec les ordures urbaines et la fer- raille afin d'viter d'endommager le circuit rfrigrant, plus particu- lirement l'arrire de l'appareil. Contactez votre mairie afin de vous renseigner sur la collecte de ce type d'appareils.

RECYCLAGE

Les matriaux demballage de cet appareil sont recyclables. Participez leur recyclage et contribuez ainsi la protection de len- vironnement en les dposant dans les conteneurs municipaux pr- vus cet effet.

Votre appareil contient galement de nombreux matriaux recycla- bles. Il est donc marqu de ce logo afin de vous indiquer que les appareils usags ne doivent pas tre mlangs avec dautres dchets. Le recyclage des appareils quorganise votre fabricant sera ainsi ralis dans les meilleures conditions, conformment la directive europenne 2002/96/CE sur les dchets dquipements lectriques et lectroniques. Adressez vous votre mairie ou votre revendeur pour connatre les points de collecte des appareils usags les plus proches de votre domicile. INSTALLATION MISE EN SERVICE

Branchez la prise de courant : suivant lquipement de votre appareil les voyants vert (sous tension) et rouge (alarme) s'allument.

Rglez le thermostat en position mdiane et laisser l'appareil fonctionner pendant environ 4 heures; le voyant d'alarme doit s'teindre.

Aprs la mise en service, en cas de remonte anormale de la tem- prature l'intrieur de votre conglateur durant la conservation, le voyant de l'alarme s'allumera.

CONSERVATION

Lorsque le thermostat de votre appareil nest pas en position maxi- male ou que la touche "Super Conglation" (selon modle) n'est pas active, votre appareil fonctionne en conservateur. Vous ne devez introduire dans ce dernier que des denres dj congeles et emballes. Les dures de conservation sont essentiellement fonc- tion de la nature des aliments.

CONGELATION

Le pouvoir de conglation est dfini par la quantit maximale de produits que l'appareil peut refroidir en 24h, depuis la temprature ambiante jusqu' -18C. Cette quantit est indique sur la plaque signaltique place l'arrire de l'appareil. Au moins 24h avant d'in- troduire des denres congeler, activez la touche "Super Conglation" (orange ) de votre appareil ou mettez le thermostat en position maximale (si votre conglateur ne possde pas de touche Super Conglation). Introduisez ensuite vos denres fraches et maintenez ce rgime pendant 24h environ.

Vous pouvez ensuite soit procder une nouvelle conglation, soit remettre votre appareil en rgime de conservation.

Placez de prfrence vos aliments congeler en contact avec le fond et les parois, ceci afin d'assurer une conglation plus rapide des produits. Evitez de placer des produits frais au contact de ceux dj congels.

Attention : lors de l'introduction des produits, le tmoin d'alarme peut s'allumer quelques instants, sans que cela prsente d'inconv- nient pour l'appareil ou les produits.

Aliments Dure de conservation en mois

Ne congelez que des aliments frais, nettoys et enferms dans des emballages appropris. Etiquetez chaque paquet en y inscrivant la date de conglation, le poids ou le nombre de parts, et la nature du produit.

Ne placez pas de bouteilles ni de botes de boissons gazeuses dans votre conglateur, elles pourraient clater.

Ne recongelez pas un produit dcongel, il doit tre consomm sans attendre.

N'ouvrez pas trop frquemment le couvercle du conglateur afin d'viter une remonte de la temprature l'intrieur du comparti- ment. Ne dpassez pas la date limite de conservation recommande sur les emballages des produits surgels.

ECONOMISEZ LENERGIE

Laissez refroidir les aliments avant de les mettre dans l'appareil. Lorsque votre appareil est en mode "conservation", nous vous conseillons de rgler le thermostat pour maintenir une temprature de -18C l'intrieur de l'appareil. La position du thermostat correspondant au chiffre 3 vous permet de rduire la consommation lectrique lorsque les denres conge- les n'occupent que la moiti de votre appareil.

DEGIVRAGE

Le systme de dgivrage du conglateur est manuel.

Afin de permettre au conglateur de fonctionner correctement, il est ncessaire de procder au dgivrage au moins 1 fois par an ou lorsque la couche de glace est suprieure 10 mm.

Pour cela, vous utiliserez une raclette ou tout autre instrument en plastique mais jamais dustensile mtallique ou dappareil lectri- que :

Choisissez une priode o votre conglateur n'est pas trop charg.

Activez la touche "Super Conglation" (ou suivant votre modle, rglez le thermostat en position maximale) afin que les denres congeles soient la plus basse temprature possible.

Sortez les denres, enveloppez-les soigneusement et placez- les dans le rfrigrateur ou dans un endroit trs frais.

Dbranchez le conglateur.

Dcollez la glace, retirez les plaques de givre.

Placez un rcipient ou le plateau fourni avec lappareil (selon modle) sous votre conglateur au niveau du bouchon de vidange. Retirer ce dernier afin de permettre lcoulement des eaux de dgi- vrage.

Epongez ensuite la cavit de votre appareil et remettez en place le bouchon de vidange.

Lavez la cavit l'eau tide lgrement savonneuse. N'utilisez JAMAIS de poudre abrasive, d'ponge abrasive ou de produits agressifs (alcool, diluants).

Rincez l'eau claire, schez soigneusement et laissez le couver- cle entrouvert quelques minutes.

Rebranchez l'appareil et activez la fonction "Super conglation" (ou poussez le thermostat au maximum). Replacez vos denres dans le conglateur.

Le dgivrage doit tre effectu le plus rapidement possible afin d'viter un rchauffement important des aliments dj congels, ce qui pourrait diminuer leur dure de conservation.

ENTRETIEN

Conseils :

En cas de coupure de courant : si la coupure est prvue, activez la "Super conglation" (ou reglez le thermostat au maximum) 24h l'avance dans la mesure du possible. N'ouvrez pas l'appareil pen- dant toute la dure de la coupure.

Rserve de froid : 2 cas peuvent se prsenter :

Votre conglateur est aux plein. Dans ce cas, la rserve de froid ainsi constitue vite une remonte anormale de la temprature. Votre conglateur contient trs peu de produits. Dans ce cas, nous vous conseillons de placer dans votre appareil des rcipients en plastiques remplis d'eau, qui aprs conglation, donneront la rserve de froid indispensable.

En cas d'arrt prolong de votre appareil, dbranchez-le. Nous vous recommandons d'entrouvrir le couvercle afin d'arer cor- rectement votre conglateur.

PROBLEMES DE FONCTIONNEMENT

Il existe des bruits qui sont tout fait normaux dans un conglateur :

Le gaz rfrigrant peut produire un bouillonnement en circulant dans les circuits

Le compresseur peut produire des ronronnements qui peuvent s'accentuer au dmarrage

Le "crac" produit par les dilatations et les contractions des matriaux utiliss

Si vous avez dj ralis les vrifications indiques et que votre problme persiste, NE REALISEZ AUCUNE REPARATION VOUS- MEME. Mettez-vous en contact avec le Service d'Assistance Technique le plus proche.

FR 4 / MESSAGES PARTICULIERS, INCIDENTS

PROBLEME SOLUTION

L'appareil ne fonctionne pas. Vrifiez que la fiche est bien connecte, que le fusible n'a pas fondu ou que le disjoncteur n'a pas saut.

Le conglateur ne refroidit pas beaucoup. Vrifiez le thermostat et veillez ce que la porte reste ouverte le moins longtemps possible. De mme, vrifiez que la porte ferme bien.

Le moteur fonctionne continuellement.

Assurez-vous que le conglateur est bien ventil en laissant des espaces comme indiqu dans le chapitre "Installation". Vrifiez galement que votre appareil n'est expos aucune source de chaleur.

Das Gert wurde fr die Aufbewahrung von Tiefkhlprodukten, die Einfrierung frischer Lebensmittel und die Herstellung von Eiswrfeln ausgelegt.Jeder andere Gebrauch ist nicht zulssig.

Der Khlschrank ist gem den Anweisungen dieser Anleitung zu installieren. Eine unsachgeme Installation kann zur Beschdigung des Gerts fhren.

Bei eventuellen Funktionsproblemen des Tiefkhlschranks wenden Sie sich immer und ausschlielich an die zugelassenen Kundendienst-Zentren oder qualifizierte Fachpersonen.

Bevor Sie mit den Instandhaltungsarbeiten beginnen, ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, ohne am Netzkabel zu ziehen.

Wenn der Tiefkhlschrank einen anderen ersetzt, der mit einem Schnappverschluss, Federverschluss, Schloss oder sonstiger Schlievorrichtung ausgestattet ist, vergessen Sie nicht, diese zu zerstren oder noch besser die Tr Ihres alten Gerts auszu- bauen, um zu vermeiden, dass jemand im Gert eingeschlossen bleibt (spielende Kinder, Haustiere usw.).

Sie das Gert ausgepackt haben, vergewissern Sie sich, dass es nicht beschdigt ist. Eventuelle Beschdigungen mssen dem Hndler binnen 24 Stunden nach der Anlieferung gemeldet wer- den. Die verwendeten Verpackungsmaterialien sind vollstndig recycelfhig (Karton, Luftpolster aus PE, EPS-Kunststoff usw.).Halten Sie diese Verpackungsmaterialien auer Reichweite der Kinder.

Der Khlkreislauf des Gerts enthlt das Khlmittel Isobutan, ein natrliches, wenig schdliches, aber sehr leicht entzndliches Gas. Vergewissern Sie sich beim Transport und beim Installieren des Gerts, dass kein einziges Bauteil des Khlkreises beschdigt ist. Bei Beschdigungen stellen Sie das Gert in sicherer Entfernung zu Flammen und Zndquellen ab und lften den Raum, in dem es sich befindet.

Fr den optimalen Betrieb des Tiefkhlschranks installieren Sie ihn- weit von Wrmequellen und stellen sicher, dass die Luft ungehin- dert zirkulieren kann (siehe Installation des Tiefkhlschranks).

Dieses Gert ist nicht dafr geeignet, von Personen (und Kindern) mit krperlich, wahrnehmerisch oder mental eingeschrnkten Fhigkeiten oder von Menschen ohne Erfahrung oder Kenntnis benutzt zu werden, auer, wenn sie von einer fr ihre Sicherheit verantwortlichen Person berwacht oder zuvor in die Gertebenutzung eingewiesen worden sind.

Es ist darauf zu achten, dass Kinder das Gert nicht als Spielzeug nutzen.

SICHERHEITSANWEISUNGEN DE

Wichtig: Bevor Sie mit der Installation beginnen, lesen Sie aufmerksam die Sicherheitsanweisungen, um bestimmte Unannehmlichkeiten zu vermeiden.

Stellen Sie das Gert in einem feuchtigkeitsfreiem, gut belftetem Raum weit von Wrmequellen auf.Lassen Sie einen Abstand von mindestens 10 cm zwischen der Rckseite des Tiefkhlschranks und der Wand.Lassen Sie auch 10 cm Abstand von beiden Seiten des Gerts.

Die Khlklasse des Tiefkhlschranks steht auf dem Typenschild. Sie gibt den Raumtemperaturbereich an, fr den die Khleinheit ausgelegt ist, um einen einwandfreien Betrieb des Gerts zu gewhrleisten.

STROMANSCHLUS

Steckdose: 220-240 V mit Schutzerde Vermeiden Sie Adapter und Verlngerungen. Vermeiden Sie eine Berhrung des Kabel mit dem Verdichter. Vermeiden Sie ein Klemmen des Kabels unter dem Gert.

Die elektrische Einrichtung des Gerts umfasst eine Erdung. Zu Ihrer Sicherheit schlieen Sie den Khlschrank an eine Steckdose mit wirksamer Erdung an (gem den gltigen Normen betreffend die Sicherheit elektrischer Gerte).

Der Hersteller bernimmt keine Haftung fr Schden, die auf eine fehlende Erdung zurckgehen

VOR DEM ANSCHLUSS

Reinigen Sie die Innenflchen des Tiefkhlschranks mit lauwar- mem Wasser und Bikarbonat. Splen Sie sie und trocknen sie sorg- fltig ab. Warten Sie 2 Stunden, bevor Sie den Khlschrank in Betrieb neh- men, damit sich die Schmierstoffe des Motorverdichters stabilisie- ren knnen.

UMWELTSCHUTZ

Der Khlkreislauf und die Isolierstoffe des Gerts enthalten keine fr die Ozonschicht schdlichen Khlgase. Der Khlschrank darf nicht zusammen mit stdtischem Abfall und Altschrott entsorgt werden, um Beschdigungen des Khlkreises besonders auf der Rckseite des Gerts zu vermeiden. Informieren Sie sich bei den zustndigen Behrden ber die Einsammlung dieser Art von Gerten.

RECYCLING

Die Verpackungsmaterialien des Khlschranks sind wiederverwert- bar. Beteiligen Sie sich am Recycling und tragen zum Umweltschutz bei, indem Sie ihn in den dafr vorgesehenen Sammeltonnen Ihrer Gemeinde entsorgen.

Das Gert enthlt ebenfalls zahlreiche recycelfhige Werkstoffe. Es wurde daher mit diesem Logo versehen, damit Sie wissen, dass alte Gerte getrennt entsorgt werden mssen. Das vom Hersteller betriebene Recycling der Gerte erfolgt dabei unter besten Bedingungen und entsprechend der europischen Richtlinie 2002/96/EG ber Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgerte. INSTALLATION INBETRIEBNAHME

Stecker in die Steckdose einfhren: je nach Gerteausstattung leuchten die grne (an Strom angeschlossen) und rote (Alarm) Leuchtanzeige auf.

Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler in die mittlere Position und las- sen das Gert ca. 4 Stunden lang laufen; die Alarmlampe muss sich ausschalten.

Sollte die Temperatur im Tiefkhlschrank nach der Inbetriebnahme whrend der Aufbewahrung bermig ansteigen, schaltet sich die Alarmlampe ein.

AUFBEWAHRUNG

Wenn der Gertethermostat nicht auf Maximum steht oder die Taste Superfrost (modellabhngig) nicht aktiviert ist, arbeitet das Gert im Konservierungsmodus. In diesem Fall drfen Sie nur bereits tief- gefrorene und verpackte Lebensmittel in den Tiefkhlschrank legen.Die Aufbewahrungsdauer hngt wesentlich von der Art der Lebensmittel ab.

TIEFKHLUNG

Das Gefriervermgen hngt von der maximalen Produktmenge, die das Gert innerhalb von 24 Stunden von der Raumtemperatur auf 18C bringen kann, ab. Diese Menge ist auf dem Typenschild, auf der Rckseite des Gerts angegeben. Die Taste Superfrost (orange) des Gertes ist mindestens 24 Stunden vor Einfhrung ein- zufrierender Lebensmittel zu bettigen, oder (wenn der Tiefkhlschrank keine Taste Superforst aufweist) der Thermostat ist auf Maximum zu stellen. Legen Sie die frischen Lebensmittel danach in den Tiefkhlschrank und halten diesen Modus ca. 24 Stunden lang.

Anschlieend knnen sie eine neue Einfrierung vornehmen oder das Gert in den Aufbewahrungsmodus schalten.

Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gefriergut die hintere und die seitlichen Wnde berhrt; damit wird eine schnellere Tiefkhlung der Produkte sichergestellt. Vermeiden Sie einen Kontakt zwischen fri- schen und bereits gefrorenen Produkten.

Achtung: Beim Einlegen der Produkte kann die Alarmlampe kurz aufleuchten, ohne dass es sich auf das Gert oder die Produkte nachteilig auswirkt.

Lebensmittel Aufbewahrungsdauer in Monaten

Frieren Sie nur frische, gereinigte und angemessen verpackte Lebensmittel ein. Bringen Sie auf jeder Gefriereinheit ein Etikett mit Einfrierdatum, Gewicht oder Stckanzahl und Art des Produkts an.

Stellen Sie keine Flaschen und keine kohlensurehaltigen Getrnkedosen in den Tiefkhlschrank. Sie knnten bersten.

Aufgetautes Gut darf nicht erneut eingefroren werden, sondern muss unverzglich verzehrt werden.

ffnen Sie nicht zu oft den Deckel des Tiefkhlschranks, um einen Anstieg der Innentemperatur zu vermeiden.

berschreiten Sie nicht die auf der Verpackung der Tiefkhlkost empfohlene Aufbewahrungsdauer.

ENERGIESERSPARNIS

Lassen Sie die Lebensmittel immer erst abkhlen, bevor Sie sie in das Gert legen. Wenn das Gert im Aufbewahrungsmodus arbeitet, empfehlen wir Ihnen, den Temperaturregler auf eine Dauertemperatur von -18C im Gert einzustellen. Die Position 3 des Temperaturreglers erlaubt eine Reduzierung des Stromverbrauchs, wenn die Gefriergutmenge nur die Hlfte des Gerts einnimmt.

ABTAUUNG

Das Gert besitzt ein manuelles Abtausystem.

VERWENDEN SIE ZUM ABTAUEN IN KEINEM FALL EIN UTENSIL AUS METALL ODER EIN ELEKTRISCHES GERT.

Fr einen einwandfreien Betrieb muss der Tiefkhlschrank mindes- tens 1 Mal jhrlich abgetaut werden oder wenn die Eisschicht ber 100 mm dick ist.

Whlen Sie einen Zeitraum, in dem das Gert nicht zu voll gefllt ist.

Das Gert wieder anschlieen und die Funktion Superfrost akti- vieren (oder den Thermostat auf Maximum stellen). Die Lebensmittel wieder in den Tiefkhlschrank geben.

Nehmen Sie das Gefriergut heraus, wickeln es sorgfltig ein und legen es in den Khlschrank oder an einen sehr kalten Ort.

Stecken Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose.

Entfernen Sie das Eis und saugen das Tauwasser mit einem Schwamm auf.

Reinigen Sie den Raum mit lauwarmem Wasser und etwas Seife. Verwenden Sie IN KEINEM FALL Scheuerpulver, Scheuerschwamm oder aggressive Reinigungsmittel (Alkohol, Lsungsmittel u..).

Splen Sie mit Reinwasser ab, trocknen sorgfltig ab und lassen den Deckel mehrere Minuten lang halb geffnet.

Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Steckdose und aktivieren die Funktion "SUPER Schnell-Einfrierung". Sie das Gefriergut in den Tiefkhlschrank zurck.

Das Gert wieder anschlieen und die Funktion Superfrost akti- vieren (oder den Thermostat auf Maximum stellen). Die Lebensmittel wieder in den Tiefkhlschrank geben.

INSTANDHALTUNG

Tipps:

Bei Stromausfall: Wenn eine Stromunterbrechung bevorsteht, mglichst 24 Stunden im Voraus Superfrost aktivieren (oder den Thermostat auf Maximum stellen). Lassen Sie das Gert whrend der ganzen Unterbrechungsdauer geschlossen.

Kltereserve: 2 Fallbeispiele knnen eintreten:

Der Tiefkhlschrank ist zu voll gefllt. In diesem Fall verhindert die Kltereserve, dass die Temperatur bermig ansteigt.

Der Tiefkhlschrank enthlt nur sehr wenig Gefriergut. In diesem Fall empfehlen wir Ihnen, Kunststoffbehlter mit Wasser in das Gert zu stellen, die nach der Tiefkhlung fr die unentbehrliche Kltereserve sorgen werden.

Bei lngerem Stillstand des Tiefkhlschranks ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, den Deckel fr gute Belftung halb geffnet zu lassen

Der Verdichter kann Surrgerusche erzeugen, die sich beim Anlauf verstrken knnen.

Die verwendeten Materialien erzeugen ein "Knacken" beim Dehnen und Zusammenziehen.

This appliance has been designed for conserving frozen food, free- zing fresh food, and producing ice cubes. Any other use would be inappropriate.

Your appliance must be installed in accordance with the instruc- tions in this manual; faulty installation could result in damage to the appliance

For any problems regarding the appliances operation, please only contact the approved After-Sales Service centres or a suitably qua- lified professional.

Disconnect your appliance prior to performing any maintenance operation. Unplug it; do not pull on the power cable.

If this freezer is replacing another one with a catch, spring, lock or other closing system, remember to destroy the closing mechanism or, better still, remove the door from your old appliance to avoid anyone becoming trapped inside (children playing, animals, etc.)

Once you have unpacked the appliance, ensure that it is not dama- ged. If it is, any damage must be notified to the retailer within 24 hours of delivery. The materials used for the packaging are 100% recyclable (cardboard, PE bubblewrap, EPS, etc.). Keep these mate- rials out of childrens reach.

Your appliances refrigeration circuit is filled with isobutane refrigerant (R600a), a natural, non-polluting gas that is, however, inflammable. Ensure that none of the components in your appliances refrigeration circuit is damaged during transport or ins- tallation. If you detect any damage, keep your appliance away from flames and any sources of ignition and ventilate the room in which it is located.

For your appliance to operate optimally, install it away from any heat sources and ensure that air can circulate well all around it (see Installing your appliance).

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including chil- dren) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given super- vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children shoud be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Important: Before installing your appliance please carefully read the safety instructions in order to avoid some minor inconveniences.

Install the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated room, away from any heat source. Leave a minimum distance of 10cm between the back of the freezer and the wall. Also leave a gap of 10cm on each side of the appliance.

Your appliances climate class is shown on the identification plate. It determines the ambient temperature range for which the refrige- ration unit has been designed to ensure that the appliance will operate correctly.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Socket characteristics: 220-240V with Earth. Do not use extension leads or adaptors. The cable must not be in contact with the compressor. Do not trap the cable under the appliance.

The appliances electrical installation is provided with an Earth. For your safetys sake, connect the appliance to a socket fitted with an efficient Earth (in accordance with the prevailing electrical installa- tion safety regulations).

The manufacturer declines any responsibility for any damage cau- sed through lack of Earthing.

BEFORE CONNECTION

Clean the inside of your appliance with warm water and bicarbo- nate of soda. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wait 2 hours before switching on to ensure that the oil in the com- pressor has stabilized.

The packaging materials for your appliance are made from recycla- ble materials. Participate in recycling them and thereby contributing to protecting the environment by disposing of them in the municipal containers provided for this purpose.

The recycling that your manufacturer arranges can then be done in optimum conditions n accordance with European Directive 2002/9/EEC regarding waste electrical and electronic equipment. INSTALLATION STARTING YOUR APPLIANCE

Plug the power cable into the socket. Depending on your appliance control panel, the green (voltage) and red (alarm) indica- tor lights illuminate.

Set the thermostat to the middle position and leave the appliance to run for approximately 4 hours; the alarm light should go out.

After start-up, if the temperature inside your freezer should increase abnormally while conserving your frozen foodstuffs, the alarm light will illuminate.

CONSERVING

When your appliance thermostat is not set to the maximum or when the Super Freeze button (depending on your model) is not pres- sed, your appliance will operate in conservation mode. You must only introduce already frozen, pre-packed food. The conservation time essentially depends on the type of foodstuff.

FREEZING

The refrigeration output is defined by the maximum amount of pro- ducts that the appliance can freeze in 24 hours from ambient tem- perature down to -18C. This amount is shown on the manufactu- rers plate at the rear of the appliance. At least 24 hours before intro- ducing the foodstuffs to be frozen, press your appliances Super Freeze button (orange) or set the thermostat to the maximum (if your chest freezer does not have a Super Freeze button). Then introduce your fresh foodstuffs and keep the appliance in this mode for approximately 24 hours.

You can then either perform a new freezing operation or return your appliance to conservation mode.

Preferably place the foodstuffs to be frozen in contact with the back and the walls to ensure that they are frozen more quickly. Avoid pla- cing fresh products in contact with products already frozen.

Warning: When you introduce products, the alarm light may come on for a few moments without this being any inconvenience for the appliance or the products.

Foodstuffs Conservation time in months

Only freeze fresh food that has been cleaned and sealed in appro- priate packages. Label each packet writing on it the date frozen, the weight or the number of items and the type of product.

Do not place bottles or cans of fizzy drinks in your freezer; they may burst.

Do not refreeze a product that has defrosted; it must be consu- med without delay.

Do not open the freezers lid too often to avoid raising the tempe- rature inside the compartment. Do not exceed the recommended expiry date for the frozen pro- ducts, as indicated on the packaging.

SAVING ENERGY

Let the food cool down before introducing it into the appliance. When your appliance is in Conservation mode, we recommend that you set the thermostat to maintain a temperature of -18C inside the appliance. Setting the thermostat to position 3 enables you to reduce the consumption of electricity when the foodstuffs only occupy half of your appliance.

DEFROSTING

Your refrigerator has a manual defrosting system.

For your freezer to operate correctly, you must defrost it at least once a year or when the layer of ice is more than 10mm thick.

NEVER USE ANY METAL ITEM OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE TO DEFROST YOUR FREEZER.

Select a period when your freezer is not heavily loaded.

Press the Super Freeze button 24 hours in advance (or depen- ding on your model, set the thermostat to the maximum) so that your frozen foodstuffs are at the lowest possible temperature.

Remove the foodstuffs, wrap them carefully and place them in a refrigerator or a very cold place.

Disconnect your freezer.

Free the ice with a wooden or plastic scraper. Remove the sheets of ice and sponge away the melt water as it forms.

Wash out the inside of the freezer with slightly soapy warm water. NEVER use scouring powder, abrasive sponges or aggressive pro- ducts (alcohol, thinners, etc.).

Rinse with clean water, dry carefully and leave the lid slightly open for a few minutes.

Re-connect your appliance and activate the Super Freeze func- tion (or set the thermostat to the maximum). Return your foodstuffs to the freezer.

Defrosting must be done as quickly as possible to avoid already frozen food warming up significantly, which could reduce their conservation time.

MAINTENANCE

Advice:

In the event of a power failure: if the power failure is expected, acti- vate Super Freeze mode (or set the thermostat to the maximum) 24 hours in advance as far as possible. Do not open the appliance at any time during the power failure.

Cold reserves: there are two possible cases:

Your freezer is full. In this case, the cold reserve thereby crea- ted avoids any abnormal increase in temperature.

Your freezer contains very few products. In this case, we recom- mend that you place plastic containers filled with water in your freezer so that, once frozen, these will provide the essential cold reserves.

If your appliance will be unused for a long time, disconnect it. We recommend that you leave the lid ajar in order to air your free- zer correctly.

OPERATING PROBLEMS

There are some noises that it is quite normal for a freezer to make:

The refrigerant gas can produce a gurgling sound as it travels through the circuits.

The compressor may produce a buzzing noise, which can be more noticeable during start-up.

The cracking noise produced by expansion and contraction of the materials used.

If you have already performed the indicated checks and your problem still persists, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS YOUR- SELF. Contact your nearest Technical Assistance Department.

EN 4 / PARTICULAR MESSAGES, INCIDENTS

PROBLEM SOLUTION

The appliance does not work. Check that the plug is correctly connected, that the fuse hasnt blown or that the circuit-breaker has not jumped.

The freezer does not freeze well. Check the thermostat and ensure that the door remains open for the shortest time possible. Also check that the door closes cor- rectly.

The motor runs continuously.

Ensure that the freezer is correctly ventilated, leaving the gaps indicated in the Installation section. Also check that your appliance is not exposed to any heat source.

De installatie moet tot stand worden gebracht volgens de instruc- ties gegeven in deze handleiding : door een onjuiste installatie kan het apparaat beschadigd worden.

In het geval er storingen optreden moet u contact opnemen met erkende servicediensten of een beroep doen op vakmensen.

Altijd eerst de steker uit de contactdoos halen voordat u onder- houdswerkzaamheden gaat verrichten op het apparaat, de steker met de hand uit de contactdoos verwijderen en niet aan het snoer trekken.

Indien de vrieskast een oude of in onbruik geraakte vrieskast ver- vangt welke een sluitingsmechanisme met klink of veer, slot of ove- rige heeft, moet u niet vergeten dit sluitingsmechanisme te vernieti- gen of, beter nog, de deur van de oude vrieskast gewoonweg te demonteren om te voorkomen dat iemand zich erin op zou sluiten (spelende kinderen, huisdieren enz..).

Na het apparaat te hebben uitgepakt, moet u zorgvuldig controleren of het niet is beschadigd. Mocht dit het geval zijn, dan moet u de beschadigingen melden bij de verkoper binnen de 24 uur die volgen op de levering. Al het verpakkingsmateriaal kan recycled worden (karton, PE plastic, EPS...). Deze materialen buiten bereik van kinde- ren houden.

Het koelcircuit van het apparaat bevat koelisobutaan, dit is een weinig vervuilend maar wel ontvlambaar natuurlijk gas. Tijdens het vervoer en het installeren van het apparaat moet u ervoor zorgen dat geen van de componenten van het koelcircuit wordt bescha- digd. Is dit toch het geval dan moet u het apparaat ver van vlammen en ontstekingsbronnen houden en het vertrek waarin het staat goed luchten en ventileren.

Voor een optimale werking van het apparaat is het beter het ver van warmtebronnen te installeren en moet u ervoor zorgen dat de lucht vrijelijk om het apparaat heen kan stromen (zie Installatie van het apparaat).

Dit apparaat is niet bestemd voor gebruik door personen (kinderen inbegrepen) waarvan de lichamelijke, sensoriele of men- tale capaciteiten beperkt zijn, of personen zonder ervaring of ken- nis, behalve onder toezicht van een persoon die instaat voor hun veiligheid of voorafgaande instructies over het gebruik van het apparaat.

Kinderen dienen verhinderd te worden met het apparaat te spelen.

VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTENNL

Belangrijk : Voordat u het apparaat gaat installeren, moet u de veiligheidsvoor- schriften aandachtig lezen om bepaalde problemen te voorkomen.

Het apparaat moet in een droog en goed geventileerd vertrek genstalleerd worden, ver uit de buurt van een warmtebron. U moet een ruimte van tenminste 10 cm open laten achter de vries- kast en ook 10 cm aan iedere kant van het apparaat.

De klimaatklasse van uw apparaat staat vermeld op het type- plaatje. Deze klasse bepaalt het bereik van omgevingstemperatu- ren waarvoor de koelunit ontworpen is en waarin de goede wer- king van het apparaat verzekerd is.

ELEKTRISCHE AANSLUITING

Eigenschappen van de contactdoos : 220-240V met aardaansluiting. Het is beter geen adaptors en verlengsnoeren te gebruiken. De kabel mag niet in contact met de compressor komen. Ervoor zorgen dat de kabel niet onder het apparaat komt vast te zit- ten.

De elektrische installatie van het apparaat is voorzien van een aar- daansluiting. Veiligheidshalve moet het apparaat op een contact- doos met een werkzame aardaansluiting worden aangesloten (ove- reenkomstig de van kracht zijnde normen met betrekking tot elektri- sche installaties).

De constructeur wijst iedere aansprakelijkheid van de hand wat betreft schade die voortvloeit uit het feit dat het apparaat niet op de aarde is aangesloten.

ALVORENS HET APPARAAT AAN TE SLUITEN

Maak de binnenkant van de vrieskast schoon met lauw water met bicarbonaat. Afspoelen en zorgvuldig drogen. 2 uur wachten voordat u de vrieskast aanzet zodat de smeermid- delen van de moto-compressor zich kunnen stabiliseren.

MILIEUBESCHERMING

Het koelcircuit en het isolatiemateriaal van dit apparaat bevatten geen koelgassen die schadelijk voor de ozonlaag zijn. Het apparaat mag niet worden afgevoerd met het huisvuil en oud ijzer, hierdoor zou het koelcircuit beschadigd kunnen worden en met name aan de achterzijde van het apparaat. Neem contact op met de technische dienst van uw woonplaats om te weten te komen op welke manier dit soort apparaten moet worden afgevoerd.

RECYCLING

Het verpakkingsmateriaal van dit apparaat kan recycled worden. Draag uw steentje bij tot de milieubescherming en recyclingsmo- gelijkheden door het in de door de gemeente hiervoor neergezette containers af te voeren.

Het apparaat bevat eveneens talrijke materialen die ook recycled kunnen worden. Om die reden is het voorzien van dit logo om u te vertellen dat oude apparaten niet mogen worden vermengd met ander afval. Op deze manier komt de door de fabrikant georgani- seerde recycling zo goed mogelijk tot stand, overeenkomstig de Europese richtlijn 2002/96/CE met betrekking tot afval van elektri- sche en elektronische uitrustingen. Neem contact op met de tech- nische dienst van uw woonplaats of de verkoper om de plaatsen te weten te komen waar u dit soort apparaten kunt afvoeren. INSTALLATION INWERKINGSTELLING

Steek de stekker in het stopcontact : naargelang uw apparaat zul- len de groene (onder spanning) en rode (alarm) lampjes oplichten.

Zet de thermostaat op de middenstand en laat het apparaat zo ongeveer 4 uur draaien : het controlelampje van de alarm moet uit- gaan.

Na het apparaat in werking te hebben gesteld zal het alarmcontro- lelampje gaan branden als de temperatuur in de vrieskast op abnor- male wijze omhoog gaat tijdens de werking.

BEWAREN

Indien het thermostaat niet op maximum staat of de toets Super Invriezen (volgens model) niet geactiveerd is zal uw apparaat in conserveer modus werken. De uiterste gebruiksdata hangen hoofd- zakelijk af van het soort product.

INVRIEZEN

Het vriesvermogen wordt bepaald door de maximale hoeveelheid producten die het apparaat in 24 uur kan invriezen, te weten vanaf de omgevingstemperatuur tot aan -18C. Deze hoeveelheid staat vermeld op het typeplaatje aan de achterzijde van het apparaat. Ten minste 24u voor het inbrengen van de levensmiddelen die ingevro- ren moeten worden, dient u de toets Super Invriezen (oranje ) van uw apparaat aan te zetten of het thermostaat op maximum te zetten (indien uw diepvriezer geen toets Super Invriezen) heeft. Dan kunt verse producten in de vrieskast leggen en deze toets ongeveer 24 uur ingedrukt laten.

Daarna kunt u opnieuw producten invriezen of het apparaat terug- zetten naar de bewaarmodus.

Het is beter de in te vriezen producten te plaatsen op de bodem en tegen de wanden zodat zij snellen worden ingevroren. Vermijd verse producten in te contact te brengen met reeds ingevroren produc- ten.

Let op : Als u de in te vriezen producten in de vrieskast plaats kan het alarmcontrolelampje enkele ogenblikken gaan branden, dit is normaal en heeft geen invloed op de werking of de kwaliteit van de producten.

Voedingsmiddelen Bewaartijd in maanden

Vries alleen verse producten in na ze te hebben schoongemaakt en ingepakt in adequate verpakkingsmiddelen. Breng op ieder pakje een etiketje aan met de datum van invriezen, het gewicht of het aantal porties en de aard van het product.

Leg geen flessen of blikjes met koolzuurhoudend water in de vries- kast, deze zouden kunnen springen.

Vries nooit en te nimmer een ontdooid product opnieuw in. Dit pro- duct moet onmiddellijk gebruikt worden.

Vermijd het deksel van de vrieskast te vaak te openen om te voor- komen dat de temperatuur in de vrieskast zelf onnodig oploopt. Neem de aanbevolen uiterste gebruiksdatum vermeld op de ver- pakking van diepvriesproducten in acht.

ENERGIEBESPARINGEN

Laat de producten afkoelen voordat u ze in de vrieskast plaats. Als het apparaat in de bewaarmodus staat, raden wij u aan de thermostaat zodanig in te stellen dat de temperatuur in de vrieskast rond de -18C blijft. De stand van de thermostaat die overeenkomt met het cijfer 3 maakt het u mogelijk minder stroom te verbruiken als de diepvries- producten maar de helft van de capaciteit van het apparaat in bes- lag nemen.

ONTDOOIEN

Het ontdooisysteem van de vrieskast is handmatig.

GEBRUIK NOOIT EN TE NIMMER EEN METALEN INSTRUMEN OF ELEKTRISCH APPARAAT OM DE VRIESKAST TE ONT- DOOIEN .

Met het oog op de juiste werking van de vrieskast is het nodig hem op zijn minst 1 x per jaar te ontdooien en vaker als het laagje ijs dikker dan 10 mm is.

Kies hiervoor een periode uit waarin de vrieskast niet al te vol is.

Druk toets Super Invriezen (of volgens uw model, zet het ther- mostaat op maximum) om de bevroren voedingswaren op een zo laag mogelijke temperatuur te bewaren.

Haal de producten uit de vrieskast, wikkel ze zorgvuldig in en leg ze in de koelkast op op een andere koele plaats.

Haal te steker van de vrieskast uit de contactdoos.

Verwijder het laagje ijs met een krabber van hout of plastic. Spons het gesmolten water weg.

Schoonmaken met lauw water met een beetje zeep. Gebruik NOOIT schurende producten, schuursponsjes of agressieve pro- ducten (alcohol, verdunningsmiddelen ...).

Afspoelen met helder water, zorgvuldig droog maken en het dek- sel enkele minuten open laten staan.

Zet het apparaat opnieuw aan en activeer de functie Super invrie- zen (of zet het thermostaat op maximum). Plaats uw voedingswa- ren opnieuw in de diepvriezer.

Het ontdooien moet zo snel mogelijk gebeuren zodat de diep- vries en ingevroren producten zo snel mogelijk terug in de vrieskast gelegd kunnen worden, als hun temperatuur te veel oploopt kunnen zij minder lang bewaard worden.

ONDERHOUD

Tips

Bij een stroomonderbreking :als de stopzetting voorzien is, activeer de functie Super invriezen (of zet het thermostaat op maxi- mum).24u op voorhand indien mogelijk. Het apparaat niet openen zolang de stroom is afgesloten.

Koureserve : 2 mogelijkheden :

Uw vrieskast is voor vol. In dit geval is de koureserve voldoende groot om te voorkomen dat de temperatuur abnormaal oploopt.

De vrieskast bevat maar weinig producten. In dit geval raden wij u aan in de vrieskast met water gevulde plastic bakjes te plaatsen, het water zal, als het is bevroren, voor de nodige koureserve zorgen.

Als het apparaat langdurig wordt uitgezet, moet u de steker uit de contactdoos halen. Wij raden u aan het deksel iets open te zetten zodat de vrieskast naar behoren kan worden gelucht.

NL 3 / NORMAAL ONDERHOUD VAN HET APPARAAT

STORINGEN

Tijdens de werking maakt de vrieskast verschillende geluiden, deze zijn normaal :

Het koelgas kan borrelen als het door de leidingen stroomt.

De compressor kan ronken, vaak iets harder bij het opstarten.

De gebruikte materialen kunnen kraken bij het uitzetten of krimpen.

TECHNISCHE SERVICEDIENST

Indien u alle hierboven staande controles hebt uitgevoerd en de storing niet is verdwenen, MAG U NIET ZELF GAAN SLEUTELEN AAN DE VRIESKAST. Neem contact op met de Technische Servicedienst bij u in de buurt.

NL4 / BIJZONDERE MELDINGEN, INCIDENTEN

PROBLEEM OPLOSSING

Het apparaat werkt niet. Controleer of de steker wel naar behoren in de contactdoos is gestoken, of de zekering niet is doorgeslagen en of de lastscha- kelaar niet is doorgeslagen.

De vrieskast koelt niet voldoende af. Controleer de thermostaat en zorg ervoor dat de deur niet te lang open blijft staan. Controleer ook of de deur wel naar behoren sluit.

De motor draait constant.

Controleer of de vrieskast wel naar behoren wordt geventileerd dus of er wel voldoende ruimte eromheen is opengelaten zoals vermeld in het hoofdstuk Installatie. Controleer eveneens of het apparaat niet in contact komt met een warmtebron.

De mogelijke ingrepen op uw apparaat moeten worden verricht door door het merk erkende vakmensen. Als u deze mensen belt moet u de volledige referentie van het apparaat aangeven (model, type, serienummer) : deze inlichtingen staan vermeld op het garantiecertificaat en het typeplaatje.
