Before using this unit, carefully read the sections entitled: USING THE UNIT SAFELY and IMPORTANT NOTES (supplied on a separate sheet). These sections provide important information concerning the proper operation of the unit. Additionally, in order to feel assured that you have gained a good grasp of every feature provided by your new unit, this manual should be read in its entirety. The manual should be saved and kept on hand as a convenient reference. As shipped, the TU-12BWs batteries are not yet installed. Normal Tuning (AUTO CHROMATIC Mode) 1. Connect the plug of the included piezo mic to the INPUT jack and

mount the piezo mic on the instrument you want to tune. To carry out tuning using the built-in microphone, connect nothing to the INPUT jack and place the TU-12BW close to the instrument. If you have a digital wind controller or an instrument with a built-in mic or pickup, plug its output into the INPUT jack.

2. Press [POWER] to switch the power on. 3. Press [AUTO/MANUAL] to enable the "AUTO" setting (lighting the

green indicator). In AUTO CHROMATIC Mode, the TU-12BW automatically displays a note's pitch (the note name) as you play it on the instrument. Most of the time, AUTO is the most convenient mode to use.

When you want to practice producing a specific pitch, you may want to use MANUAL mode; in this mode, only the pitch that you specify is detected and displayed.

4. Play a single note on the instrument. While the note is sounding, the name for the note's current pitch is displayed. The meter and Tuning Guide show how far the note is from the correct pitch.

5. Tune the instrument. With the intended note name displayed, tune the instrument so that and on the Tuning Guide light simultaneously and the meter's needle points to 0 (the center position). When the Accu-Pitch feature is on, the tuner makes a beeping sound when the note is stabilized at the correct pitch, informing you that the note is in tune.

Training for a Specific Pitch (Tuning in MANUAL Mode) 1. Connect the plug of the included piezo mic to the INPUT jack and

mount the piezo mic on the instrument you want to tune. To carry out tuning using the built-in microphone, connect nothing to the INPUT jack and place the TU-12BW close to the instrument. If you have a digital wind controller or an instrument with a built-in mic or pickup, plug its output into the INPUT jack.

2. Press [POWER] to switch the power on. 3. Press [AUTO/MANUAL] to enable the "MANUAL" setting (lighting the

red indicator). 4. Press [ ] or [ ] to display the note name for the specific pitch you

want to practice and/or tune. 5. Play a single note on the instrument.

The meter and Tuning Guide show how far the note is from the correct pitch.

6. Tune the instrument. With the intended note name displayed, adjust the instrument's tuning so that both and on the Tuning Guide are lit and the meter's needle points to 0 (center position). When the Accu-Pitch feature is on, the tuner makes a beeping sound when the note is stabilized at the correct pitch, informing you that the note is in tune.

Tuning While Listening to the Reference Tone (Sound Mode) 1. Press [ ] (Sound) to play the reference tone. 2. Press [ ] or [ ] to light the indicator for the note name you'd like to

use as a reference. The sound of the note name shown by the indicator is played.

Pressing [ ] and [ ], you can play reference tones in half-step increments over five octaves (C2 to C7).

3. Tune the instrument to the reference tone. When you're using Sound mode, use the included piezo mic. Tuning cannot be performed using the built-in mic. (The meter is disabled.)

4. Press [ ] (Sound) to stop playing the reference tone.

TU-12BW Settings Changing the Reference Pitch for Tuning 1. Hold down [PITCH] and press [ ] or [ ] to choose the reference

pitch you want. (Range of setting: 438 to 445 Hz) The indicator flashes. Choose the reference pitch you want by getting it to flash.

2. Release [PITCH] to set the selected reference pitch. This setting is saved in memory when the TU-12BW is powered off.

Changing the Meter Response Speed (Quick Response Feature) The Quick Response feature increases the speed of the meter's response to the incoming pitch. You may find this handy for some advanced music practice applications. 1. Press [QUICK RESPONSE] to turn the Quick Response feature on/off.

Quick Response is activated when the red indicator lights.

Calibrating the Meter's Needle Rarely, the meter's needle may drift out of calibration, causing the needle to point slightly off from the 0 position even when the Tuning Guide's and indicators light simultaneously. This can occur over time as the unit is transported, or if the unit is handled in a rough fashion. If this occurs, you can recalibrate the needle using the following procedure.

During normal use, the meter's needle almost never drifts out of calibration. To adjust it, be sure to use a small flathead screwdriver (a 2.0 mm precision screwdriver).

1. Hold down [PITCH] and turn the power on. Confirm whether or not the needle is pointing at the 0 position.

2. If the meter's needle fails to point to the 0 position, use a flathead screwdriver (a 2.0 mm precision screwdriver) to turn the meter adjustment control until the needle points to 0.

3. After completing calibration, press [POWER] to switch off the power.

Useful Features Preventing Battery Drain If You Forget to Switch Off the Power (Auto Power Off Feature)

When using battery power, if the TU-12BW remains in the state described below for approximately thirty minutes after it was turned on, the power will automatically be switched off. No button has been pressed, and No audio (including input from the built-in mic) has been detected.

Deactivating the Auto Power Off Feature You can temporarily deactivate the Auto Power Off feature when you power up the TU-12BW. To do so, simultaneously hold down [ ] and [ ] while you press [POWER] to turn on the power. The Auto Power Off feature will be enabled the next time you turn on the power in the usual way.

Using a Tone to Indicate Tuning is Completed (Accu-Pitch Feature)

When the Accu-Pitch Feature is on, a beeping sound is played when the sound of the instrument you're tuning has stabilized at a pitch that is no more than three cents sharp or flat. This sound tells you that the pitch is in tune.

Switching the Accu-Pitch Feature On and Off 1. Hold down [ ] (Sound) and press [POWER] to switch on the power.

If no sound is heard from the unit as it's powered up, it means that the Accu-Pitch feature has been deactivated. To enable the Accu-Pitch feature, perform the same operation again; if you hear a beeping sound when the power comes on, it means that Accu-Pitch has been enabled.

Memory Features Once batteries are installed in the TU-12BW, the settings described below are retained in memory even after the power is switched off.

If the batteries are removed or are depleted, all data saved in memory may be lost.

Changing the Batteries The BATT. indicator flashes when the batteries begin to run down. Replace the batteries as soon as possible.

* When turning the unit upside-down, place it on a soft cloth or the like so as to prevent damage to the panel.

1. Open the battery compartment (located on the bottom of the unit) by sliding the cover toward OPEN.

2. Remove the old batteries from the battery compartment. 3. Insert two of the same type of fresh AAA batteries.

* Make sure the + and - ends of the batteries are oriented correctly. * Do not mix fresh batteries with used ones, or mix batteries of different types. Doing so can result in

fluid leakage.

4. Slide the cover of the battery compartment back into place.

AUTO/MANUAL This changes the tuning mode. Green Indicator: AUTO CHROMATIC mode Red indicator: MANUAL mode (for tuning a single specified pitch)

Indicators These show the current note's name (C-B), natural or sharp status (#), the master reference pitch (438-445), and a warning when the battery is low.

Connect the AC adaptor (optional BOSS PSA series) here.

Use this to turn the reference tone's sound on and off.

This allows you to tune an acoustic instrument when it's not convenient to use the included piezo mic. For the best results with the built-in mic, move the TU-12BW as close to the instrument as possible while tuning.

Normales Stimmen (AUTO-CHROMATIC-Modus) 1. Stecken Sie den Stecker des mitgelieferten Piezomikrofons in die

INPUT-Buchse und bringen Sie das Piezomikrofon an dem zu stimmenden Instrument an. Wenn Sie Instrumente ohne das eingebaute Mikrofon stimmen mchten, schlieen Sie nichts an der INPUT-Buchse an und stellen Sie das TU-12BW nah am Instrument auf. Wenn Sie einen digitalen Wind-Controller oder ein Instrument mit eingebautem Mikrofon oder Tonabnehmer besitzen, verbinden Sie dessen Ausgang mit der INPUT-Buchse.

2. Drcken Sie die [POWER]-Taste um das Gert einzuschalten. 3. Drcken Sie die [AUTO/MANUAL]-Taste, um die Einstellung AUTO

zu aktivieren (die grne LED leuchtet). Im AUTO-CHROMATIC-Modus zeigt das TU-12BW automatisch die Tonhhe (den Notennamen) an, wenn Sie einen Ton auf dem Instrument spielen. In den meisten Fllen ist der AUTO-Modus am praktischsten.

Wenn Sie das Erzeugen bestimmter Tonhhen ben mchten, empfiehlt sich die Verwendung des MANUAL-Modus. In diesem Modus wird nur die von Ihnen angegebene Tonhhe erkannt und angezeigt.

4. Spielen Sie einen einzelnen Ton auf dem Instrument. Whrend der Ton erklingt, wird der Notenname (die aktuelle Tonhhe) angezeigt. Die Hhen- und die Richtanzeige zeigen an, wie weit der Ton von der richtigen Tonhhe entfernt ist.

5. Stimmen Sie das Instrument. Stimmen Sie, whrend der beabsichtigte Notenname angezeigt wird, das Instrument, bis die Pfeile und der Richtanzeige gleichzeitig leuchten und die Nadel der Hhenanzeige auf 0 zeigt (mittlere Stellung). Wenn die Accu-Pitch-Funktion eingeschaltet ist, ertnt ein Signalton, wenn der Ton auf der richtigen Hhe stabilisiert ist. Daran erkennen Sie, dass der Ton richtig gestimmt ist.

leuchtet, den Sie als Referenzton verwenden mchten. Der Ton, dessen LED leuchtet, wird gespielt.

Mit den Pfeiltasten [ ] und [ ] knnen Sie ber fnf Oktaven (C2 bis C7) Referenztne in Halbtonschritten spielen.

3. Stimmen Sie das Instrument auf den Referenzton. Im Tonmodus knnen Sie das mitgelieferte Piezomikrofon verwenden. Das Stimmen kann nicht ber das eingebaute Mikrofon erfolgen. (Die Tonhhenanzeige ist deaktiviert.)

4. Drcken Sie die [ ]-Taste (Ton), um die Referenzton-Wiedergabe zu stoppen.

Einstellungen am TU-12BW ndern der Referenztonhhe fr das Stimmen 1. Halten Sie die [PITCH]-Taste gedrckt, und whlen Sie mit den

Pfeiltasten [ ] bzw. [ ] die gewnschte Referenztonhhe aus. (Einstellungsbereich: 438 bis 445 Hz) Die entsprechende LED blinkt.

2. Lassen Sie die [PITCH]-Taste los, um die ausgewhlte Referenztonhhe einzustellen.

Diese Einstellung bleibt beim Ausschalten des TU-12BW gespeichert.

ndern der Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit der Tonhhenanzeige (Quick-Response-Funktion) Die Quick-Response-Funktion beschleunigt die Reaktion der Tonhhenanzeige auf das empfangene Signal. Dies kann bei bestimmten anspruchsvollen Musik- bungsanwendungen praktisch sein. 1. Drcken Sie die [QUICK RESPONSE]-Taste, um die Quick-Response-

Funktion ein- oder auszuschalten. Quick Response ist aktiviert, wenn die rote LED leuchtet.

Kalibrieren der Nadel der Tonhhenanzeige In seltenen Fllen kann sich die kalibrierte Nadel der Tonhhenanzeige verstellen und zeigt dann nicht genau auf die Stellung 0, auch wenn die Pfeile und der Richtanzeige gleichzeitig leuchten. Dies kann im Lauf der Zeit eintreten, wenn das Gert transportiert oder unsanft gehandhabt wird. In einem solchen Fall knnen Sie die Nadel mit dem folgenden Vorgang neu kalibrieren.

Bei normalem Gebrauch verliert die Nadel der Tonhhenanzeige fast nie ihre Kalibrierung. Verwenden Sie zur Einstellung einen Kreuzschlitz-Schraubendreher (einen 2,0-mm-Przisions-Schraubendreher).

1. Halten Sie die [PITCH]-Taste gedrckt, und schalten Sie das Gert ein. Sehen Sie nach, ob die Nadel genau auf die Stellung 0 zeigt.

2. Wenn die Nadel der Tonhhenanzeige nicht auf 0 zeigt, drehen Sie vorsichtig mit einem kleinen Przisions-Kreuzschlitz-Schraubendreher (2,0 mm) die Verstellschraube, bis die Nadel auf 0 zeigt.

3. Drcken Sie nach Abschluss der Kalibrierung die [POWER]-Taste, um das Gert auszuschalten.

Ntzliche Funktionen Verhindern von Batterieverbrauch, wenn Sie das Ausschalten vergessen (Auto-Power-Off-Funktion)

Wenn das TU-12BW im Batteriebetrieb nach dem Einschalten fr ca. 30 Minuten in einem der nachstehend beschriebenen Zustnde verbleibt, schaltet es sich automatisch aus. Keine Taste wurde gedrckt, und Kein Audiosignal (einschlielich eines Eingangssignals vom eingebauten Mikrofon) wurde

erkannt.

Deaktivieren der Auto-Power-Off-Funktionen Sie knnen die Auto-Power-Off-Funktion vorbergehend deaktivieren, wenn Sie das TU-12BW einschalten. Halten Sie die [ ] und [ ]-Tasten gedrckt und schalten Sie das Gert mit der [POWER]-Taste ein. Die Auto-Power-Off-Funktion wird aktiviert, wenn Sie das Gert auf normale Weise einschalten.

Verwenden eines Signals, um das Ende des Stimmvorgangs anzuzeigen (Accu-Pitch-Funktion)

Wenn die Accu-Pitch-Funktion eingeschaltet ist, erklingt ein Signalton, wenn sich die Tonhhe des zu stimmenden Instruments im Bereich von drei Cent ber oder unter der richtigen Tonhhe stabilisiert. Dieses Signal weist Sie darauf hin, dass die Tonhhe rechtig ist.

Ein- und Ausschalten der Accu-Pitch-Funktion 1. Halten Sie die [ ]-Taste (Ton) gedrckt, und schalten Sie das Gert

mit der [POWER]-Taste ein. Wenn whrend des Einschaltens kein Signal ertnt, bedeutet das, dass die Accu-Pitch-Funktion deaktiviert ist. Fhren Sie zum Aktivieren der Accu-Pitch-Funktion den gleichen Vorgang erneut aus; wenn Sie beim Einschalten einen Signalton hren, bedeutet das, dass die Accu-Pitch-Funktion aktiviert ist.

Speicherfunktionen Wenn in das TU-12BW Batterien eingelegt sind, bleiben die nachstehend beschriebenen Einstellungen auch beim Ausschalten im Speicher erhalten.

Wenn die Batterien herausgenommen werden oder leer sind, knnten alle gespeicherten Daten verloren gehen.

Auswechseln der Batterien Die BATT.-LED blinkt, wenn die Batteriespannung nachlsst. Ersetzen Sie die Batterien so bald wie mglich.

* Legen Sie das Gert, wenn Sie es umdrehen, auf ein weiches Tuch oder etwas hnliches, um eine Beschdigung des Bedienfelds zu vermeiden.

1. ffnen Sie das Batteriefach (an der Unterseite des Gerts), indem Sie die Abdeckung in Richtung OPEN (ffnen) schieben.

2. Entnehmen Sie die alten Batterien aus dem Batteriefach. 3. Legen Sie zwei neue AAA-Batterien desselben Typs ein.

* Achten Sie darauf, die Pole + und - der Batterien richtig auszurichten. * Verwenden Sie nicht gleichzeitig neue Batterien und gebrauchte Batterien oder Batterien

verschiedenen Typs. Dadurch knnte Batterieflssigkeit austreten.

4. Schlieen Sie die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs wieder.

Accordeur normal (mode AUTO CHROMATIC) 1. Branchez la fiche du micro pizolectrique inclus sur la prise INPUT

et montez le micro pizolectrique sur linstrument accorder. Pour accorder laide du microphone intgr, ne connectez aucun appareil la prise INPUT et placez le TU-12BW prs de linstrument. Si vous disposez dun contrleur de souffle numrique ou dun instrument quip dun micro intgr ou dun phonocapteur, branchez sa sortie sur la prise INPUT.

2. Pour mettre lappareil sous tension, appuyez sur [POWER]. 3. Appuyez sur [AUTO/MANUAL] pour activer le paramtre AUTO

(le voyant vert sallume). En mode AUTO CHROMATIC, le TU-12BW affiche automatiquement laccord dune note (le nom de la note) lorsque vous la jouez sur linstrument. La plupart du temps, AUTO est le mode le plus pratique utiliser.

Lorsque vous souhaitez vous entraner produire un accord spcifique, vous pouvez utiliser le mode MANUAL ; ainsi, seul laccord que vous spcifiez est dtect et affich.

4. Jouez une note sur votre instrument. Lorsque vous jouez la note, le nom de laccord actuel de la note saffiche. Le vumtre et le guide daccord montrent lcart de la note par rapport au diapason correct.

5. Accordez linstrument. Une fois que le nom de la note souhaite est affich, accordez linstrument de sorte que et sallument simultanment sur le guide daccord et que laiguille du vumtre se place sur 0 (position centrale). Ralisation dune note spcifique (accordage en mode MANUAL) 1. Branchez la fiche du micro pizolectrique inclus sur la prise INPUT

et montez le micro pizolectrique sur linstrument accorder. Pour accorder laide du microphone intgr, ne connectez aucun appareil la prise INPUT et placez le TU-12BW prs de linstrument. Si vous disposez dun contrleur de souffle numrique ou dun instrument quip dun micro intgr ou dun phonocapteur, branchez sa sortie sur la prise INPUT.

2. Pour mettre lappareil sous tension, appuyez sur [POWER]. 3. Appuyez sur [AUTO/MANUAL] pour activer le paramtre MANUAL

(le voyant rouge sallume). 4. Appuyez sur [ ] ou [ ] pour afficher le nom de la note pour laccord

spcifique que vous souhaitez raliser et/ou rgler. 5. Jouez une note sur votre instrument.

Le vumtre et le guide daccord montrent lcart de la note par rapport au diapason correct.

6. Accordez linstrument. Une fois que le nom de la note souhaite est affich, rglez laccord de linstrument afin que et soient tous deux allums sur le guide daccord et que laiguille du vumtre se place sur 0 (position centrale). Lorsque la fonction Accu-Pitch est active, laccordeur met un signal sonore lorsque la note est accorde correctement.

Accordage lors de lcoute du son de rfrence (mode Sound) 1. Appuyez sur [ ] (Sound) pour couter la note de rfrence. 2. Appuyez sur [ ] ou [ ] pour allumer le voyant correspondant la

note que vous souhaitez utiliser comme rfrence. Le son de la note affiche par le voyant est jou.

Si vous appuyez sur [ ] et [ ], vous pouvez lire des notes de rfrence par demi-tons successifs sur cinq octaves (C2 C7).

3. Accordez linstrument sur la note de rfrence. Lorsque vous utilisez le mode Sound, faites appel au micro pizolectrique. L'accordage n'est pas ralisable avec le micro intgr. (Le vumtre est dsactiv.)

4. Appuyez sur [ ] (Sound) pour arrter lcoute de la note de rfrence.

Paramtres du TU-12BW Changement du diapason de rfrence pour laccordage 1. Maintenez le bouton [PITCH] enfonc et appuyez sur [ ] ou [ ] pour

choisir le diapason de rfrence souhait. (Plage de rglage : de 438 445 Hz) Le voyant clignote. Choisissez le diapason de rfrence voulu. Son voyant clignote lorsquil est atteint.

2. Relchez le bouton [PITCH] pour choisir le diapason de rfrence slectionn.

Ce paramtre est enregistr en mmoire lors de la mise hors tension du TU-12BW.

Modification du temps de rponse du vumtre (fonction Quick Response) La fonction Quick Response amliore le temps de rponse du vumtre pour laccord entrant. Cela peut savrer utile pour certaines applications de pratique musicale avances. 1. Appuyez sur [QUICK RESPONSE] pour activer/dsactiver la fonction

Quick Response. La fonction Quick Response est active lorsque le voyant rouge est allum.

Calibrage de laiguille du vumtre En de rares occasions, laiguille du vumtre peut tre dcalibre et venir se placer lgrement en dehors de la position 0 mme lorsque les voyants et du guide daccord sallument simultanment. Ce phnomne peut se produire au fil du temps si lappareil est transport ou sil est manipul brutalement. Dans ce cas, vous pouvez recalibrer laiguille laide de la procdure suivante.

Lors dune utilisation normale, laiguille du vumtre nest presque jamais dcalibre. Pour lajuster, veillez utiliser un petit tournevis tte plate de prcision (de 2,0 mm).

1. Maintenez le bouton [PITCH] enfonc et mettez lappareil sous tension. Vrifiez que laiguille pointe vers la position 0.

2. Si l'aiguille ne pointe pas vers 0, vissez la vis de rglage laide dun tournevis tte plate de prcision (2,0 mm) jusqu ce que laiguille pointe vers 0.

3. Une fois le calibrage effectu, appuyez sur [POWER] pour mettre lappareil hors tension.

Fonctions utiles Eviter la perte de charge des piles en cas doubli de mise hors tension (fonction Auto Power Off)

Lorsque le TU-12BW est aliment par piles, il est automatiquement mis hors tension lorsqu'il demeure dans l'tat dcrit ci-dessous pendant environ trente minutes partir de sa mise sous tension. Aucune commande n'a t manipule, et Aucun signal audio (y compris provenant du micro intgr) n'a t dtect.

Dsactivation de la fonction Auto Power Off Vous pouvez dsactiver temporairement la fonction Auto Power Off lors de la mise sous tension du TU-12BW. Maintenez les boutons [ ] et [ ] enfoncs et appuyez sur [POWER] pour mettre lappareil sous tension. La fonction Auto Power Off s'active la prochaine mise sous tension normale de lappareil.

Signal avertissant que laccordage est termin (Fonction Accu-Pitch)

Lorsque la fonction Accu-Pitch est active, un signal sonore est mis lorsque le son de linstrument que vous accordez se stabilise un diapason situ dans une plage de trois centimes au-dessus ou en dessous de la note correcte. Ce signal vous avertit que le diapason est rgl.

Activation et dsactivation de la fonction Accu-Pitch 1. Maintenez le bouton [ ] (Sound) enfonc et appuyez sur [POWER]

pour mettre lappareil sous tension. Si aucun son nest mis par lappareil lors de sa mise sous tension, la fonction Accu-Pitch a t dsactive. Pour activer la fonction Accu-Pitch, renouvelez lopration. Si un signal sonore est mis lors de la mise sous tension, la fonction Accu-Pitch a t active.

Fonctions de mmoire Une fois que les piles ont t installes dans le TU-12BW, les rglages dcrits ci-dessous sont conservs en mmoire mme pendant que lappareil est hors tension.

Si les piles sont retires ou dcharges, toutes les donnes sauvegardes dans la mmoire risquent d'tre perdues.

Remplacement des piles Le voyant BATT. clignote lorsque les piles commencent spuiser. Remplacez-les ds que possible.

* Lorsque vous retournez lappareil, placez-le sur un chiffon doux pour viter dendommager le panneau.

1. Ouvrez le compartiment piles (situ au bas de lappareil) en faisant glisser le couvercle vers OPEN.

2. Retirez les piles usages du compartiment piles. 3. Insrez deux piles neuves de mme type (AAA).

* Vrifiez que les signes + et - sont orients correctement. * Ne mlangez pas des piles neuves avec des piles usages, ni des piles de types diffrents.

Vous risqueriez de provoquer une fuite de liquide.

4. Remettez en place le couvercle du compartiment piles.

Accordatura normale (modalit AUTO CHROMATIC) 1. Collegare lo spinotto del microfono piezo in dotazione al jack INPUT

e posizionare il microfono piezo sullo strumento da accordare. Per effettuare l'accordatura con il microfono incorporato, non collegare nulla al jack INPUT e posizionare il TU-12BW vicino allo strumento. Se si ha un wind controller digitale o uno strumento con microfono o pickup incorporato, collegare l'uscita al jack INPUT.

2. Premere [POWER] per accendere l'unit. 3. Premere [AUTO/MANUAL] per attivare l'impostazione "AUTO"

(l'indicatore verde si accender). In modalit AUTO CHROMATIC, il TU-12BW mostra automaticamente l'intonazione di una nota, ovvero il nome, quando viene suonata sullo strumento. Questa la modalit di accordatura pi comune.

Per provare a eseguire una nota specifica, conviene utilizzare la modalit MANUAL, grazie alla quale viene rilevata e visualizzata solo la nota specificata.

4. Suonare una nota sullo strumento. Quando la nota viene suonata, viene visualizzato il nome del tono corrente. L'indicatore e la Guida per l'accordatura indicano quanto manca alla corretta intonazione della nota.

5. Accordare lo strumento. Mentre visualizzato il nome della nota desiderata, accordare lo strumento finch

e non si accendono contemporaneamente nella Guida per l'accordatura e l'ago dell'indicatore non puntato sullo 0 (posizione centrale). Se attiva la funzione Accu-Pitch, l'accordatore emette un "bip" quando la nota raggiunge l'intonazione giusta.

3. Accordare lo strumento in base al tono di riferimento. Quando si utilizza la modalit Sound, utilizzare il microfono piezo in dotazione. Non possibile eseguire l'accordatura mediante il microfono incorporato (l'indicatore disattivato).

4. Premere [ ] (Sound) per arrestare la riproduzione del tono di riferimento.

Impostazioni del TU-12BW Come cambiare il tono di riferimento per l'accordatura 1. Tenere premuto [PITCH] e premere [ ] o [ ] per scegliere il tono di

riferimento desiderato. (Gamma di impostazioni: da 438 a 445 Hz) L'indicatore lampeggia. Scegliere il tono di riferimento desiderato facendolo lampeggiare.

Ci potrebbe verificarsi col passare del tempo o se l'unit viene usata con poca cura. Se ci si verifica, possibile ricalibrare l'ago seguendo questa procedura.

Se usato normalmente, l'ago dell'indicatore non perde praticamente mai la giusta calibrazione. Per regolarla, utilizzare un cacciavite a testa piatta (cacciavite di precisione da 2 mm).

1. Tenere premuto [PITCH] e accendere l'unit. Verificare se l'ago punta alla posizione 0.

2. Qualora l'ago dell'indicatore non punti alla posizione 0, utilizzare un cacciavite a testa piatta (cacciavite di precisione da 2 mm) per ruotare l'apposita vite di regolazione finch l'ago non punta allo 0.

3. Al termine della calibrazione, premere [POWER] per spegnere l'unit.

Funzioni utili Prevenzione dello scaricamento delle batterie se ci si dimentica di spegnere l'unit (funzione di spegnimento automatico)

Quando si utilizza l'alimentazione a batteria, se il TU-12BW rimane nello stato descritto di seguito per oltre trenta minuti dopo l'accensione, verr spento automaticamente. Non stato premuto alcun pulsante e Nessun audio rilevato (compreso l'ingresso dal microfono incorporato)

Disattivazione della funzione di spegnimento automatico possibile disattivare momentaneamente la funzione di spegnimento automatico quando si accende il TU-12BW. Tenere premuto [ ] e [ ] e premere [POWER] per accendere l'unit. La funzione di spegnimento automatico sar attivata la prossima volta che si accende normalmente l'unit.

Emissione di un suono per indicare il completamento dell'accordatura (funzione Accu-Pitch)

Se la funzione Accu-Pitch attivata, verr emesso un "bip" quando il suono dello strumento che si sta accordando si stabilizzato su un'intonazione non oltre tre centesimi in diesis o bemolle. Questo suono indica che l'accordatura corretta.

Attivazione e disattivazione della funzione Accu-Pitch 1. Tenere premuto [ ] (Sound) e premere [POWER] per accendere l'unit.

Funzioni di memorizzazione Quando le batterie vengono inserite nel TU-12BW, le impostazioni descritte di seguito vengono conservate in memoria anche dopo lo spegnimento dell'unit.

Se le batterie vengono rimosse o si esauriscono, tutti i dati salvati in memoria possono andare persi.

Sostituzione delle batterie L'indicatore BATT. lampeggia quando le batterie iniziano a scaricarsi. Sostituire le batterie appena possibile.

* Quando si capovolge l'unit, posizionarla su un panno morbido o materiali simili per evitare danni al pannello.

1. Aprire il vano batterie situato sotto l'unit facendo scorrere il coperchio verso la posizione OPEN.

2. Pulse [POWER] para encender la unidad. 3. Pulse [AUTO/MANUAL] para activar el ajuste "AUTO" (se ilumina el

Si dispone de un controlador de viento digital o un instrumento con un micrfono integrado o una pastilla, conecte su salida en el conector INPUT.

2. Pulse [POWER] para encender la unidad. 3. Pulse [AUTO/MANUAL] para activar el ajuste "MANUAL" (se ilumina

el indicador rojo). 4. Pulse [ ] o [ ] para mostrar el nombre de la nota del tono especfico

que desee practicar o afinar. 5. Toque una nota en el instrumento.

El medidor y la gua de afinacin muestran lo alejada que est la nota del tono correcto.

6. Afine el instrumento. Mientras se muestra el nombre de la nota prevista, ajuste la afinacin del instrumento de modo que y de la gua de afinacin se iluminen y la aguja del medidor apunte al 0 (la posicin central). Si la funcin Accu-Pitch est activada, el afinador emite un pitido cuando la nota se estabiliza en el tono correcto e informa de que la nota est afinada.

Afinacin mientras se escucha el tono de referencia (modo de sonido) 1. Pulse [ ] (sonido) para reproducir el tono de referencia. 2. Pulse [ ] o [ ] para iluminar el indicador del nombre de la nota que

desea utilizar como referencia. Se reproduce el sonido del nombre de la nota mostrado por el indicador.

Si pulsa [ ] y [ ], puede reproducir tonos de referencia en incrementos de semitonos en cinco octavas (C2 a C7).

3. Afine el instrumento segn el tono de referencia. Cuando se utiliza el modo de sonido, se emplea el micrfono piezoelctrico incluido. La afinacin no se puede efectuar con el micrfono integrado. (El medidor est desactivado.)

4. Pulse [ ] (sonido) para detener la reproduccin del tono de referencia.

Ajustes de TU-12BW Cambio del tono de referencia para la afinacin 1. Mantenga pulsado [PITCH] y pulse [ ] o [ ] para seleccionar el tono

de referencia que desee. (Rango de ajuste: 438 a 445 Hz) El indicador parpadea. Seleccione el tono de referencia que desee haciendo que parpadee.

2. Suelte [PITCH] para establecer el tono de referencia seleccionado. Este ajuste se guarda en memoria al apagar el TU-12BW.

Calibracin de la aguja del medidor En muy pocas ocasiones la aguja del medidor puede perder la calibracin, lo que puede provocar que se desve ligeramente de la posicin 0, incluso si los indicadores y de la gua de afinacin estn iluminados simultneamente. Esto puede suceder con el tiempo cuando la unidad se transporta o si no se trata con cuidado. Si sucede esto, puede volver a calibrar la aguja con el siguiente procedimiento.

Durante el uso normal, la aguja del medidor casi nunca perder la calibracin. Para ajustarla utilice un destornillador plano pequeo (un destornillador de precisin de 2,0 mm).

1. Mantenga pulsado [PITCH] y encienda la unidad. Confirme si la aguja seala o no la posicin 0.

2. Si la aguja del medidor no seala la posicin 0, utilice un destornillador plano (destornillador de precisin de 2,0 mm) para girar el tornillo de ajuste del medidor hasta que la aguja seale 0.

Funciones tiles Cmo evitar que las pilas se agoten si se olvida apagar la unidad (funcin de apagado automtico)

Cuando se utiliza la alimentacin por pilas, si el TU-12BW permanece en el estado descrito a continuacin durante aproximadamente treinta minutos despus de encenderlo, se apagar automticamente. No se ha pulsado ningn botn y No se ha detectado audio (incluida la entrada del micrfono integrado).

Desactivacin de la funcin de apagado automtico Puede desactivar temporalmente la funcin de apagado automtico al encender el TU-12BW. Funciones de memoria Una vez colocadas las pilas en el TU-12BW, los ajustes descritos a continuacin se mantienen en la memoria incluso si se apaga la unidad.

Si las pilas se agotan o se retiran, los datos guardados en memoria podran perderse.

e coloque o microfone piezo no instrumento que voc deseja afinar. Para afinar usando o microfone interno, no conecte nada ao plugue INPUT e coloque o TU-12BW prximo do instrumento. Caso voc tenha um wind controller digital ou um instrumento com um microfone interno ou captador, conecte a sada ao plugue INPUT.

2. Pressione [POWER] para ligar a energia. 3. Pressione [AUTO/MANUAL] para ativar a afinao "AUTO"

(o indicador verde acende). No modo AUTO CHROMATIC, o TU-12BW exibe automaticamente a altura de uma nota (o nome da nota) enquanto voc a toca no instrumento. Na maioria das vezes, AUTO o modo mais prtico de uso.

Response. O Quick Response est ativado quando o indicador vermelho acende.

Calibrando a agulha do medidor Raramente, a agulha do medidor pode se descalibrar, fazendo com que ela aponte um pouco alm da posio 0, mesmo quando os indicadores e do Guia de ajuste acendem simultaneamente. Isso pode ocorrer com o passar do tempo, medida que o equipamento transportado, ou caso ele seja manipulado com fora excessiva. Caso isso ocorra, possvel recalibr-la usando o seguinte procedimento.

Durante o uso normal, a agulha do medidor praticamente jamais se descalibra. Para ajust-lo, no se esquea de usar uma chave de fenda pequena (uma chave de 2,0 mm).

1. Mantenha [PITCH] pressionado e ligue a energia. Confirme se a agulha est ou no apontando para a posio 0.

Recursos teis Evitando a descarga da bateria caso voc se esquea de desligar a energia (recurso Auto Power Off)

Usando um tom para indicar que a afinao foi concluda (recurso Accu-Pitch)

Quando o recurso Accu-Pitch est ativado, reproduzido um bipe quando o som do instrumento que voc est afinando se estabilizar em uma altura inferior a trs centsimos em sustenido ou bemol. Esse som informa que a nota est afinada.

Ativando e desativando o recurso Accu-Pitch 1. Mantenha [ ] (Som) pressionado e pressione [POWER] para ligar

a energia. Caso nenhum som seja emitido pelo equipamento ao ser ligado, isso significa que o recurso Accu-Pitch foi desativado. Para ativ-lo, realize a mesma operao novamente; caso voc oua um bipe quando a energia for ligada, isso significa que Accu-Pitch foi ativado.

Recursos de memria Uma vez instaladas as pilhas no TU-12BW, os ajustes descritos abaixo so mantidos na memria mesmo depois que a energia desligada.

Se as pilhas forem removidas ou acabarem, todos os dados salvos na memria podem ser perdidos.

Trocando as pilhas O indicador BATT. pisca quando as pilhas comeam a acabar. Troque as pilhas assim que possvel.

* Ao colocar o equipamento de cabea para baixo, coloque-o sobre um pano macio ou algo parecido para evitar danos ao painel.

1. Abra o compartimento de pilhas (localizado na parte inferior do equipamento) deslizando a tampa no sentido de OPEN.

2. Remova as pilhas velhas do compartimento de pilhas. 3. Coloque duas pilhas novas AAA do mesmo tipo.

* Verifique se os plos + e - das pilhas esto na orientao correta. * No misture pilhas novas com pilhas usadas ou pilhas de tipos diferentes. Isso pode resultar no

4. Recoloque a tampa do compartimento de pilhas.

Normaal stemmen (AUTO CHROMATIC-modus) 1. Sluit de stekker van de bijgeleverde pizo-microfoon aan op de

Om het stemmen met de ingebouwde microfoon te doen, sluit u niets aan op de INPUT-aansluiting en plaatst u de TU-12BW zo dicht mogelijk bij het instrument. Als u een digitale wind-controller of een instrument met een ingebouwde microfoon of element hebt, sluit u de uitgang hiervan aan op de INPUT-aansluiting.

Wanneer u wilt oefenen in het verkrijgen van een specifieke toonhoogte kunt u de modus MANUAL gebruiken. In deze modus wordt alleen de toonhoogte die u specificeert gedetecteerd en weergegeven.

4. Speel een enkele noot op het instrument. Terwijl de noot wordt weergegeven, verschijnt de nootnaam voor de huidige toonhoogte. De meter en de stemgids tonen hoe ver de noot ligt van de correcte toonhoogte.

5. Stem het instrument. Met de beoogde stemhoogte weergegeven, stem het instrument zodat en op de stemgids gelijktijdig oplichten en de naald van de meter naar 0 wijst (de centrale positie). Als de Accu Pitch-functie is ingeschakeld, maakt het stemapparaat een piepend geluid als de noot gestabiliseerd is op de juiste toonhoogte, waardoor u weet dat de noot correct gestemd is.

Training voor een specifieke toonhoogte (stemmen in MANUAL-modus) 1. Sluit de stekker van de bijgeleverde pizo-microfoon aan op de

INPUT-aansluiting en bevestig de pizo-microfoon op het instrument dat u wilt stemmen. de specifieke toonhoogte waarop u wilt oefenen en/of stemmen. 5. Speel een enkele noot op het instrument.

De meter en de stemgids tonen hoe ver de noot van de correcte toonhoogte ligt.

6. Stem het instrument. Met de beoogde stemhoogte weergegeven, stem het instrument zodat en op de stemgids oplichten en de naald van de meter naar 0 wijst (de centrale positie). Als de Accu Pitch-functie is ingeschakeld, maakt het stemapparaat een piepend geluid als de noot gestabiliseerd is op de juiste toonhoogte, waardoor u weet dat de noot correct gestemd is.

Stemmen terwijl u naar de referentietoon luistert (geluidsmodus) 1. Druk op [ ] (geluid) om de referentietoon te spelen. 2. Druk op [ ] of [ ] om de indicator te laten oplichten voor de

nootnaam die u als referentie wilt gebruiken. Het geluid van de nootnaam die door het lampje wordt weergegeven, wordt afgespeeld.

Door op [ ] en [ ] te drukken, kunt u referentietonen in stappen van halve tonen over vijf octaven (C2 tot C7) weergeven.

3. Stem het instrument volgens de referentietoonhoogte. Als u de geluidsmodus gebruikt, gebruik dan de bijgeleverde pizo-microfoon. Met de ingebouwde microfoon kunt u niet stemmen. (De meter is uitgeschakeld.)

4. Druk op [ ] (geluid) om de referentietoon te stoppen.

TU-12BW-instellingen De referentietoonhoogte voor het stemmen wijzigen 1. Houd [PITCH] ingedrukt en druk op [ ] of [ ] om de

referentietoonhoogte te kiezen die u wenst. (Instelbereik: 438 tot 445 Hz) Het lampje knippert. Kies de referentietoonhoogte die u wilt door het te laten knipperen.

2. Laat [PITCH] los om de geselecteerde referentietoonhoogte in te stellen. Deze instelling wordt in het geheugen opgeslagen als de TU-12BW wordt uitgeschakeld.

De reactiesnelheid van de meter wijzigen (Quick Response-functie) De Quick Response-functie verhoogt de reactiesnelheid van de meter op de binnenkomende toonhoogte. Dit vindt u mogelijk handig voor bepaalde geavanceerde muziekpraktijkapplicaties. 1. Druk op [QUICK RESPONSE] om de Quick Response-functie in/uit te

schakelen. Quick Response wordt geactiveerd als het rode lampje brandt.

De naald van de meter kalibreren In uitzonderlijke gevallen wijkt de naald van de meter af van de kalibratie, waardoor de naald lichtjes afwijkt van de 0-positie, zelfs als de stemgidslampjes en gelijktijdig branden. Dit kan na een tijd gebeuren als het apparaat wordt vervoerd of als het apparaat ruw wordt behandeld. In dit geval moet u de naald opnieuw kalibreren met de volgende procedure.

Bij normaal gebruik wijkt de naald van de meter bijna nooit af van de kalibratie. Om dit aan te passen, dient u een kleine platte schroevendraaier te gebruiken ( een precisieschroevendraaier van 2,0 mm).

1. Houdt [PITCH] ingedrukt en schakel de voeding in. Controleer of de naald al dan niet naar de 0-positie wijst.

2. Als de naald van de meter afwijkt van de 0-positie, gebruik dan een platte schroevendraaier (een precisieschroevendraaier van 2,0 mm) om de regelschroef te draaien tot de naald naar 0 wijst.

3. Na voltooiing van de kalibratie, druk op [POWER] om het apparaat uit te schakelen.

Handige functies Vermijden dat de batterij leegloopt als u het apparaat vergeet uit te schakelen (automatische uitschakelingsfunctie)

Als de TU-12BW is ingeschakeld en door batterijen van stroom wordt voorzien, wordt het apparaat automatisch uitgeschakeld als het ongeveer 30 minuten in de volgende toestand blijft. zonder dat er een toets wordt ingedrukt en zonder audio (inclusief invoer van de ingebouwde microfoon).

De automatische uitschakelingsfunctie deactiveren U kunt tijdelijk de automatische uitschakelingsfunctie deactiveren als u de TU-12BW inschakelt. Houd [ ] en [ ] ingedrukt en druk op [POWER] om het apparaat in te schakelen. De automatische uitschakelingsfunctie zal ingeschakeld zijn als u de volgende keer het apparaat op de gewone manier inschakelt.

Een toon gebruiken om aan te geven dat het stemmen voltooid is (Accu-Pitch-functie)

Als de Accu-Pitch-functie is ingeschakeld, wordt een piepend geluid weergegeven als de toonhoogte van het instrument dat u stemt, stabiliseert in een bereik van drie cent boven of onder de correcte toonhoogte. Dit geluid geeft aan dat de toonhoogte correct is.

De Accu-Pitch-functie in- en uitschakelen. 1. Houd [ ] (Geluid) ingedrukt en druk op [POWER] om het apparaat

in te schakelen. Als er geen geluid wordt weergegeven bij het inschakelen van het apparaat, betekent dit dat de Accu-Pitch-functie gedeactiveerd is. Om de Accu-Pitch-functie in te schakelen, herhaalt u de handeling; als u een piepend geluid hoort als het apparaat wordt ingeschakeld, is de Accu-Pitch-functie ingeschakeld.

Geheugenfuncties Zodra de batterijen in de TU-12BW zijn geplaatst, worden onderstaande instellingen in het geheugen bewaard, zelfs nadat het apparaat wordt uitgeschakeld.

Als de batterijen verwijderd of leeg zijn, bent u mogelijk alle opgeslagen gegevens in het geheugen kwijt.

De batterijen vervangen Het BATT.-lampje knippert als de batterijen leeglopen. Vervang de batterijen zo snel mogelijk.

* Als u het apparaat plat legt, plaats het dan op een zachte doek of iets dergelijks om schade aan het paneel te voorkomen.

1. Open het batterijvak (aan de onderkant van het apparaat) door de klep naar OPEN te schuiven.

2. Verwijder de oude batterijen uit het batterijvak. 3. Plaats twee nieuwe AAA-batterijen van hetzelfde type.
