SPECIfIC SAfETy RUlES Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, because the cutter may contact its own cord.

Cutting a live wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool live and shock the operator. Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform.

Holding the work by your hand or against the body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Thiswillenablebettercontrolofthetool. Keep hands away from cutting area. Never reach under the workpiece for any reason.

Keep the router base firmly in contact with the workpiece when cutting. Hold the router only by identified gripping surfaces as identified in this manual (see Using the Router). Theseprecautionswillreducetheriskofpersonalinjury.

Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or misaligned router bit, causing an uncontrolled router to lift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator.

Keep your body positioned parallel to the direction of the cut, not behind the direction of the cut.KICKBACK could cause the router to jump opposite the direction of the cut.

Use sharp cutters.Dullcuttersmaycausetheroutertoswerveorstallunderpressure. Never touch the bit immediately after use.Itmaybeextremelyhot. Be sure that the motor has stopped completely before you lay the router down.Ifthe cutterheadisstillspinningwhenthetoolislaiddown,itcouldcauseinjuryordamage.

Be sure that the router bit is clear of the workpiece before starting the motor.Ifthebitisincontact withtheworkpiecewhenthemotorstartsitcouldmaketherouterjump,causingdamageorinjury.

Only use router bits with a shank diameter of 1/4. Only use router bits rated at least equal to the maximum speed marked on the tool. Do not use router bits with a diameter greater than 1-3/8 (35mm).Useoflargerthan recommendedbitscanresultinahazard.

Not intended to be used with a router table.Do not use the tool in an inverted position. Do not attempt to use the tool in a stationary mode. Make sure collet nut is securely tightened to prevent router bit from slipping during use.

Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles. OPERATION Toswitchthetoolon,pressandholdtheactivelock-offbutton(3),thenfullypressthevariablespeed switchonthepowerunit.Oncethebitbeginstooperate,releasetheactivelock-offbutton(3).

Toswitchthetooloff,releasethevariablespeedswitch. NOTE: Operatetherouteratfullspeedatalltimes. NOTE: Thisattachmentonlyoperatesintheforwarddirection,theforward/reversesliderof thePowerUnitshouldnotbeabletobeswitchtoreverse.

INSTAllING BITS

WARNING: Turn the router off and remove battery from tool or disconnect plug from power source. Therouterisequippedwithaspindlelockfeature thatmakeschangingbitseasy.Lockthespindle shaftbydepressingthespindlelockbuttonas showninfigure Bandusethesuppliedwrenchto loosen(counterclockwise)thecolletnut(4). Keepthespindlelockbutton(2)depressedand rotatethespindleuntilthespindlelockfullyengages.

Placetherouterupsidedownonasmooth,flatsurface. Loosenthecolletnut(4)usingthewrenchprovided. Inserttheshankoftherouterbitintothecollet(4).

Wheninstallingrouterbits,besuretheyare insertedasfaraspossibleandthenpulledout about1/16(1.5mm).

Keepthespindlelockbutton(2)depressedandtightenthecolletnut(4)clockwise(donotover- tighten)usingthewrenchprovided.

NOTE: If the router base is set at its maximum depth, the collet nut cannot be tightened properly. Always insure that if the router base is adjusted to its maximum depth it must be backed off several rotations (counterclockwise) before tightening or loosening router bits. See Setting the Router Depth below for router base adjustment.

SETTING THE ROUTING DEPTH (fIG. C)

androtatetherouterbase(8)asshownin figure C.Rotatingthebaseclockwisewill increasetheroutingdepthwhilerotatingthe basecounterclockwisewilldecreasethedepth. Twocompleterevolutionsofthebaseequals about2millimeters.

2.Afterobtainingthedesiredroutingdepth, releasethespindlelockbutton(2).Continue turningthebaseuntilthenotchunderthespindlelockbuttonalignswiththenextclosest lockingslotinthedepthofcutscale(6).

fEEDING SPEED AND RATE Of CUT Variationbetweenmaterialsandbitconfigurationsdictatesawidevarietyoffeedrates. Experienceisthebestmeasurefordeterminingfeedrate.Becomefamiliarwiththesoundand feeloftherouterbymakingpracticecutsinscrapmaterial. Therouterbitrotatesataveryhighspeedandmayheatupiftherouterismovedtooslowlythrough thewoodandcauseburnmarks.Feedingtheroutertoofastortryingtoremovetoomuchmaterialin asinglepasswilloverloadthemotor.Usetwoormorepassesforextra-largecuts(over1/8deep), especiallyinhardwoods.

Utiliser uniquement des fraises dont le diamtre de la queue correspond la taille du mandrin de loutil.

Utiliser uniquement des fraises compatibles pour le rgime sous vide de loutil. Ne jamais utiliser une fraise dont le diamtre excde le diamtre maximum de 35 mm (1-3/8 po). Lutilisationdefraisesdontlediamtreestsuprieurcellerecommandepeuttredangereux.

Cet outil nest pas prvu pour tre utilis avec une table de fraisage. Ne pas utiliser loutil dans une position inverse.

Ne pas essayer dutiliser loutil comme outil dtabli (mode fixe). Sassurer que lcrou du mandrin soit solidement serr pour empcher la fraise de glisser

Larebajadoraestequipadaconunafuncindebloqueo delejequefacilitaloscambiosdebroca.Sostengaeleje oprimiendoelbotndebloqueodelejecomosemuestra enlafiguraByutilicelallaveprovistaparaaflojar(en sentidocontrarioalasagujasdelreloj)latuercadelcol- lar.Ajustelatuercadelcollarfirmementeensentidode lasagujasdelreloj. Mantengaoprimidoelbotndebloqueodeleje(2)y gireelejehastaqueelbloqueodelmismoquedetotal- mentetrabado.

Coloquelarebajadoramirandohaciaarribasobreunasuperficieplanaylisa. Aflojelatuercadelcollar(4)utilizandolallaveprovista.Inserteelvstagodelabrocapara rebajadoraenelcollar(4).

Asegresedequeelvstagosobresalgaalmenos1,5mm(1/16pulgada)delcollar. Mantengaoprimidoelbotndelbloqueodeleje(2)yajustelatuercadelcollarensentidode lasagujasdelreloj(nolaajusteenexceso)utilizandolallaveprovista.

NOTA: Si la base de la rebajadora est configurada a su mxima profundidad, la tuerca del collar no se puede ajustar debidamente. Siempre asegrese de que si la base de la re- bajadora est ajustada a su mxima profundidad, esta pueda moverse hacia atrs varios giros (en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.) antes de ajustar o aflojar las brocas para rebajadora. Consulte Configuracin de la profundidad de la rebajadora a continu- acin para el ajuste de la base de la rebajadora.

durante el uso. Deje que la broca se enfre antes de reemplazarla. Mantengaoprimidoelbotndelbloqueodeleje(2). Coloqueelrouteralrevssobreunasuperficielisayplana. Afloje(ensentidocontrarioalasagujasdelreloj)latuercadelcollar(4)utilizandolallaveprovista. Suelte el botn y quitar poco.

ta. Deje que trabaje a su propio ritmo. ADvERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones, apague la herramienta y
