Um alle Vorzge des Fieberthermometers optimal nutzen zu knnen, sollten Sie die Ge- brauchsanweisung vor Inbetriebnahme sorgfltig durchlesen, fr die weitere Benutzung aufbewahren und auch anderen Benutzern zugnglich machen. Das Thermometer ist ausschlielich zur Messung der menschlichen Krpertemperatur

bestimmt.

Das FT 15/1-Thermometer ist nur fr den in der Gebrauchsanweisung angegebenen Messort am menschlichen Krper konzipiert.

Kindern darf das Gert nicht unbeaufsichtigt berlassen werden. Kontrollieren Sie das Thermometer vor jeder erneuten Benutzung auf Anzeichen von

Beschdigung oder Abnutzung. Beschdigte oder abgenutzte Thermometer drfen nicht mehr verwendet werden.

Die Mindestmessdauer bis zum Signalton ist ausnahmslos einzuhalten. Besprechen Sie die ermittelten Werte mit Ihrem Hausarzt.

Das Thermometer beinhaltet empfindliche elektronische Bauteile. Schtzen Sie es deshalb vor Sten, Biegungen, hohen Temperaturen oder direkter Sonnenbestrah- lung.

Dieses Thermometer ist mit einer flexiblen Mess-Spitze ausgestattet und bringt da- durch mehr Komfort und Sicherheit bei der Messung, insbesondere bei Kleinkindern, Schlafenden oder bewutseinseingeschrnkten Personen. Die Spitze darf nicht weiter als 90 abgebogen werden!

Der Betrieb im Bereich starker elektromagnetischer Felder, wie z.B. neben einem Mobiltelefon, kann zu Fehlfunktionen fhren.

Das Thermometer fhrt beim Einschalten einen Selbsttest durch. Eine berprfung der Messgenauigkeit ist nicht erforderlich.

Bei aufflligen Temperaturergebnissen wenden Sie sich bitte unverzglich an Ihren Hausarzt.

Das Gert entspricht der EU-Richtlinie fr Medizinprodukte 93/42/EEC, dem Medizin- produktegesetz, der europischen Norm EN 12470-3: Medizinische Thermometer Teil 3: Elektrische (extrapolierende und nicht extrapolierende) Komptaktthermometer mit Maximumvorrichtung sowie der europischen Norm EN 60601-1-2 (bereinstim- mung mit CISPR 11, IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-8) und unterliegt besonderen Vorsichtsmanahmen hinsichtlich der elektromagnetischen Vertrglich- keit. Bitte beachten Sie dabei, dass tragbare und mobile HF-Kommunikationseinrich- tungen dieses Gert beeinflussen knnen.

Hinweise zu Elektromagnetischer Vertrglichkeit Das Gert ist fr den Betrieb in allen Umgebungen geeignet, die in dieser Gebrauchs-

anweisung aufgefhrt sind, einschlielich der huslichen Umgebung. Das Gert kann in der Gegenwart von elektromagnetischen Strgren unter

Umstnden nur in eingeschrnktem Mae nutzbar sein. Infolgedessen knnen z.B. Fehlermeldungen oder ein Ausfall des Displays/Gertes auftreten.

Die Verwendung dieses Gertes unmittelbar neben anderen Gerten oder mit anderen Gerten in gestapelter Form sollte vermieden werden, da dies eine fehlerhafte Be- triebsweise zur Folge haben knnte. Wenn eine Verwendung in der vorgeschriebenen Art dennoch notwendig ist, sollten dieses Gert und die anderen Gerte beobachtet werden, um sich davon zu berzeugen, dass sie ordnungsgem arbeiten.

Die Verwendung von anderem Zubehr, als jenem, welches der Hersteller dieses Gertes festgelegt oder bereitgestellt hat, kann erhhte elektromagnetische Straus- sendungen oder eine geminderte elektromagnetische Strfestigkeit des Gertes zur Folge haben und zu einer fehlerhaften Betriebsweise fhren.

Eine Nichtbeachtung kann zu einer Minderung der Leistungsmerkmale des Gertes fhren.

Messmethoden: Temperaturmessung im After (rektal) Diese Messmethode ist am zuverlssigsten und am genauesten. Fhren Sie hierzu die Thermometerspitze vorsichtig 23 cm in den After ein. Die Messzeit betrgt bei diesem Thermometer an diesem Messort nur ca. 10 Sekunden. Das Messzeitende wird mit einem Signalton angezeigt.

Temperaturmessung in der Mundhhle (oral) Fhren Sie hierzu die Thermometerspitze in eine der beiden Wrmetaschen unter der Zunge oder neben der Zungenwurzel ein.

Temperaturmessung in der Achselhhle (axillar) Diese Messmethode ist relativ ungenau und kann deshalb aus medizinischer Sicht nicht empfohlen werden. Messmethode Empfohlene Messdauer Mittlere Abweichung zur

Benutzung Zum Einschalten drcken Sie kurz die EIN/AUS-Taste. Ein kurzer Signalton besttigt das Einschalten. Zunchst fhrt das Thermometer fr ca. 2 Sek. einen Selbsttest durch. Hierbei sind alle Segmente der Anzeige sichtbar**. Dann erscheint kurz Lo C (Lo F) bzw. der Wert der letzten Messung im Display. Danach erscheint der Referenzwert von 37 C (98,6 F). Danach blinkt das Mess-Symbol C (F) und im Display wird Lo C (Lo F) angezeigt. Das Thermometer ist messbereit. Whrend der Messung wird die aktuelle Temperatur laufend angezeigt und das C (F)-Zeichen blinkt. Die Messung wird beendet, wenn eine Temperaturstabilitt erreicht ist. Ein akustisches Signal ertnt (10 lange Pieptne), das C (F)-Zeichen blinkt nicht mehr und der gemessene Temperaturwert wird angezeigt. Solange die gemessene Temperatur niedriger als 32 C (89,6 F) ist, blinkt das Mess-Symbol C (F) und im Display wird Lo C (Lo F) angezeigt. Hhere Werte werden direkt angezeigt, z.B. 32,1 C (89,8 F). Werden Temperaturen ber 37,8 C (100 F) gemessen, ertnt ein Fieberalarm (30 kurze Pieptne in 10 Sekunden) Werden Temperaturen ber 43,0 C (109,4 F) gemessen, so erscheint das Symbol fr Hi C (Hi F). Die Messzeit ist verglichen mit herkmmlichen Thermometern stark ver- krzt und betrgt bei der rektalen Messung nur ca. 10 Sekunden. Durch Verlngerung der Messdauer ber den Signalton hinaus, knnen genauere Messergebnisse erzielt

werden. Bei Messungen in der Achselhhle sollte die empfohlene Messdauer trotz Signalton eingehalten werden. Zur Verlngerung der Batterielebensdauer schalten Sie bitte nach der Messung das Thermometer durch kurzes Drcken der EIN/AUS-Taste aus. Ansonsten schaltet sich das Thermometer nach ca. 10 Min. automatisch ab.

Speicher Der letzte Messwert wird automatisch gespeichert. Dieser Wert wird beim Drcken der EIN/AUS-Taste angezeigt. Neben dem Messwert erscheint das Speicher-Symbol, z.B. 37,5 CM (99,5 FM).

Messeinheit ndern Sie knnen sich die Temperatur in Grad Celsius (C) und Grad Fahrenheit (F) anzeigen lassen. Zum Einstellen halten Sie die EIN/AUS-Taste beim Einschalten lnger als 2 Sekunden gedrckt bis sich die Messeinheit ndert. Der gespeicherte Wert wird in der neuen Messeinheit angezeigt.

Batterienwechsel Das Fieberthermometer enthlt eine Langzeit Alkali-Mangan-Batterie (LR 41, 1,5 V), fr ca. 2 Jahre. Die Batterie muss gewechselt werden, wenn T am rechten, unteren Rand erscheint. Drcken Sie den Batteriefachdeckel am Ende des Gertes mit den Fingern zusammen und ziehen Sie ihn krftig nach hinten weg. Entnehmen Sie die alte Batterie und ersetzen Sie diese durch eine Batterie gleichen Typs. Das + Zeichen auf der Batterie muss nach oben zeigen. Stecken Sie anschlieend den Batteriefachdeckel auf das Gehuse auf. Die verbrauchten, vollkommen entladenen Batterien mssen Sie ber speziell gekenn- zeichnete Sammelbehlter, Sondermllannahmestellen oder ber den Elektrohndleent- sorgen. Sie sind gesetzlich dazu verpflichtet, die Batterien zu entsorgen. Diese Zeichen finden Sie auf schadstoffhaltigen Batterien: Pb = Batterie enthlt Blei, Cd = Batterie enthlt Cadmium, Hg = Batterie enthlt Quecksilber.

Hinweise zum Umgang mit Batterien Wenn Flssigkeit aus einer Batteriezelle mit Haut oder Augen in Kontakt kommt, die

betroffene Stelle mit Wasser auswaschen und rztliche Hilfe aufsuchen. Verschluckungsgefahr! Kleinkinder knnten Batterien verschlucken und daran

ersticken. Daher Batterien fr Kleinkinder unerreichbar aufbewahren! Auf Polarittskennzeichen Plus (+) und Minus (-) ach ten. Wenn eine Batterie ausgelaufen ist, Schutzhandschuhe anziehen und das Batterie-

fach mit einem trockenen Tuch reinigen. Schtzen Sie Batterien vor bermiger Wrme. Explosionsgefahr! Keine Batterien ins Feuer werfen. Batterien drfen nicht geladen oder kurzgeschlossen werden. Bei lngerer Nichtbenutzung des Gerts die Batterien aus dem Batteriefach nehmen. Verwenden Sie nur denselben oder einen gleichwertigen Batterietyp. Immer alle Batterien gleichzeitig auswechseln. Keine Akkus verwenden! Keine Batterien zerlegen, ffnen oder zerkleinern.

Reinigung/Desinfektion Vor und nach jeder Benutzung muss das Gert gereinigt bzw. desinfiziert werden. Das Thermometer ist 100% wasserdicht und kann zur Reinigung bzw. Desinfektion problemlos in Wasser oder Desinfektionslsung eingetaucht werden. Das Thermometer darf keinesfalls ausgekocht werden! Verwenden Sie eines der nachfolgenden aufgefhrten Desinfektionsmittel nach Herstellerangaben. Andere Reinigungsmittel oder Methoden knnen zu Funktionsstrungen oder Beschdigung des Gerts fhren. Name des Mittels: Isopropylalkohol 70%, Gigasept FF, Lysoformin, Aseptisol.

Aufbewahrung/Entsorgung Wenn Sie das Thermometer nicht bentzen, bewahren Sie es bitte in der originalen Schutzhlle auf. Die Genauigkeit dieses Thermometers wurde sorgfltig geprft und wurde im Hinblick auf eine lange nutzbare Lebensdauer entwickelt. Bei Verwendung des Gertes in der Heilkunde sind Messtechnische Kontrollen mit geeigneten Mitteln durchzufhren. Genaue Angaben zur berprfung der Genauigkeit knnen unter der Service-Adresse angefragt werden. Im Interesse des Umweltschutzes darf das Gert am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht mit dem Hausmll entsorgt werden. Die Entsorgung kann ber entsprechende Sammelstellen in Ihrem Land erfolgen. Entsorgen Sie das Gert gem der Elektro- und Elektronik Altgerte EG-Richtlinie WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Bei Rckfragen wenden Sie sich an die fr die Entsorgung zustndige kommunale Behrde.

Important safety information retain for later use. In order to make optimum use of all the merits of the clinical thermometer, you should carefully read the operating instructions before using it, retain the instructions for later use and also keep them accessible for other users. The thermometer is intended to measure the temperature of the human body.

The FT 15/1 thermometer is only designed for the measuring area on the human body stated in the instructions for use.

Children should not use the thermometer without supervision. Before each use, check the thermometer for signs of damage or wear. Damaged or worn thermometers should not be used. Always wait for the acoustic signal which indicates the minimum time required for

measurement. Discuss the temperature with your family physician. The thermometer contains sensitive electronic parts. Therefore, protect it from blows,

bending, high temperature or direct exposure to sunlight. This thermometer has a flexible measuring tip to provide greater comfort and safety

during measurement, particularly in infants and persons who are asleep or have a reduced level of consciousness. The tip must not be bent more than 90!

Using the thermometer in strong electromagnetic fields such as next to a mobile phone, can cause a malfunction.

When the thermometer is switched on, it carries out a self-test. Therefore the accuracy of measurement need not be tested at regular intervals.

If the temperature is very abnormal, please contact your family doctor promptly. This device meets the requirements of the EU Directive 93/42/EEC concerning

medical devices, as well as those of the Medizinproduktegesetz (German Medical Devices Act), the European Standard EN 12470-3: Clinical thermometers part 3: Performance of compact electrical thermometers (non-predictive and predictive) with maximum device and the European Standard EN 60601-1-2 (in accordance with CISPR 11, IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-8), and is subject to particular precautions with regard to electromagnetic compatibility. Please note that portable and mobile HF communication systems may interfere with this unit.

Notes on electromagnetic compatibility The device is suitable for use in all environments listed in these instructions for use,

including domestic environments. The use of the device may be limited in the presence of electromagnetic disturbanc-

es. This could result in issues such as error messages or the failure of the display/ device.

Avoid using this device directly next to other devices or stacked on top of other devices, as this could lead to faulty operation. If, however, it is necessary to use the device in the manner stated, this device as well as the other devices must be monitored to ensure they are working properly.

The use of accessories other than those specified or provided by the manufacturer of this device can lead to an increase in electromagnetic emissions or a decrease in the devices electromagnetic immunity; this can result in faulty operation.

Failure to comply with the above can impair the performance of the device.

Measuring methods: Temperature measurement in the anus (rectal) This method of measurement is most reliable and most accurate. Guide the tip of the thermometer carefully 2 to 3 cm into the anus. The measurement time with this thermometer at this site is only about 10 seconds. The end of the measuring time is indicated by an signal tone.

Measurement in the mouth cavity (oral) For this purpose, guide the tip of the thermometer carefully into one of the heat pouch- es beneath the tongue, to the left or the right of the root of the tongue.

Measurement of temperature in the armpit (axillary) This method of measurement is relatively inaccurate. Therefore, it cannot be recom- mended from a medical point of view. Mode of measure ment

Use Press the On/Off switch to turn the unit on. A short acoustic signal will announce that it is switched on. The thermometer will carry out a self-test for about 2 seconds. During the self-test all segments of the display will be visible**. Then Lo C (Lo F) or the value of the last measurement will appear in the display. Then the reference value of 37 C (98.6 F) will appear. Then the flashing symbol C appears and the symbol Lo is shown in the display screen. The thermometer is now ready for use. During the measurement, the current tempera- ture is displayed continuously, and the C (F) symbol flashes on and off. The measurement is completed when a stable temperature has been reached. An acoustic signal (10 long beeps) sounds, the C (F) symbol stops flashing and the measured temperature is displayed. So long as the temperature is less than 32 C (89.6 F), the C (F) symbol continues to flash and Lo C (Lo F) is shown on the display. Higher values are displayed directly, e.g. 32.1 C (89.9 F). If temperatures over 37.8 C (100 F) are measured, a fever alarm (30 short beeps in 10 seconds) sounds. If temperatures over 43.0 C (109.4 F) are measured, the symbol for Hi C (Hi F) appears. The measurement time is very quick compared to conventional thermometers and is only 10 seconds for the rectal measurement. More accurate measurements are possible by extending the measurement time beyond the acoustic signal. For measurements in the armpits the recommended measurement time should be maintained in spite of the acoustic signal. To prolong the life of the battery, please switch off the thermometer by briefly pressing the On/Off key after the measurement. Otherwise the thermometer will automatically switch off after 10 minutes.

Memory The last measured value will be stored automatically. This value is displayed when the On/Off button is pressed. The memory symbol is also shown beside the measured value, e.g. 37.5 CM (99.5 FM).

Changing the measuring unit The temperature can be displayed in degrees Celsius (C) and degrees Fahrenheit (F). To set the measuring unit press and hold the On/Off button for longer than 2 seconds when switching on until the measuring unit changes. The saved value is displayed in the new measuring unit.

Changing the battery The clinical thermometer contains a long-life alkali-manganese battery (LR 41, 1.5 V), which will last for approx. 2 years. The battery has to be replaced when T appears in the bottom right corner of the display. Press down the battery cover at the end of the device with your fingers and then pull it firmly back. Remove the old battery and replace it with a battery of the same type. The + sign on the battery must point upwards. Then put the battery cover back onto the case. The empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of through specially designated collection boxes, recycling points or electronics retailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries. The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances: Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains mercury.

Notes on handling batteries If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, flush out the affected

areas with water and seek medical assistance. Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Store the

batteries out of the reach of small children. Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs. If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment

with a dry cloth. Protect the batteries from excessive heat. Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire. Do not charge or short-circuit batteries. If the device is not to be used for a long period, take the batteries out of the battery

compartment. Use identical or equivalent battery types only. Always replace all batteries at the same time. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Do not disassemble, split or crush the batteries.

Cleaning/Disinfection The device must be cleaned and disinfected before and after each use. The thermome- ter is 100% water-proof. For the purpose of cleaning or disinfection, it can be dipped into water or disinfectant without any difficulties.

Under no circumstances should the thermometer be boiled! Use one of the following disinfectants in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. Other cleaning agents or methods could impair the function of the thermometer or damage it. Name of the agent: Isopropanol 70% Pharmacy; Gigasept FF; Lysoformin; Aseptisol.

Le thermomtre FT 15/1 est conu uniquement pour les points de mesure du corps humain dcrits dans le mode demploi.

Ne pas laisser le thermomtre entre les mains des enfants sans surveillance. Avant toute nouvelle utilisation, vrifier que le thermomtre nest ni endommag ni

us. Les thermomtres endommags ou uss ne doivent plus tre utiliss. La dure de mesure minimale jusquau signal sonore doit tre respecte sans excep-

tion. Informer votre mdecin des valeurs de temprature obtenues. Le thermomtre mdical contient des composants lectroniques sen- sibles. Il

convient donc de le protger contre les chocs, les courbures, les tempratures leves ou les rayons directs du soleil.

Ce thermomtre est quip dune pointe flexible, ce qui le rend plus confortable et sr, en particulier en cas dutilisation sur de jeunes enfants, des personnes endormies ou des personnes handicapes mentales. Ne pliez pas la pointe plus de 90 !

Lutilisation du thermomtre proximit de forts champs lectromagntiques, comme par exemple ct dun tlphone portable, peut entraner des dysfonctionnements.

Lors de la mise en marche, le thermomtre effectue un auto-test. Il nest donc pas ncessaire de contrler la prcision de mesure intervalles rguliers.

En cas de temprature manifeste, contactez sans tarder votre mdecin traitant. Lappareil est conforme aux exigences de la directive europenne 93/42/EEC sur les

Le non-respect de cette consigne peut entraner une rduction des performances de lappareil.

Mthodes de mesure : Mesure de la temprature dans lanus (mesure rectale) Cette mthode est la plus fiable et la plus prcise. Introduire doucement la pointe du thermomtre 2 3 cm dans le rectum. La mesure ne dure que 10 secondes env. pour cet emplacement avec ce thermomtre. La fin de la mesure est indique par un signal sonore.

Mesure de la temprature dans la cavit buccale (mesure orale) Pour ce faire, introduire la pointe du thermomtre dans lune des deux poches de chaleur situe sous la langue, gauche ou droite de la racine de la langue.

Mesure de la temprature sous laisselle (mesure axillaire) Cette mthode de mesure nest pas trs prcise et nest donc pas recommande dun point de vue mdical.

Utilisation Pour allumer le thermomtre, appuyez brivement sur la touche MARCHE/ARRET. Un bref signal sonore indique que lappareil est allum. Le thermomtre effectue ensuite un contrle automatique pendant environ 2 secondes. Tous les segments de laffichage sont alors visibles**. Puis la mention Lo C (Lo F) ou la valeur de la dernire mesure prise apparat brivement lcran. Saffiche ensuite la valeur de rfrence de 37 C (98,6 F). Le symbole de mesure C ( F ) clignote alors et lindication Lo saffiche lcran. Le thermomtre est prt lemploi. Pendant la mesure, la temprature actuelle saffiche et le symbole C ( F ) clignote. La mesure est prise lorsque la temprature est stabilise. Un signal sonore (10 longs bips) se fait entendre, le symbole C ( F ) clignote et la valeur de la temprature mesure saffiche. Si la temprature mesure reste infrieure 32 C (89,6 F), lunit de mesure C ( F ) clignote et la mention Lo C (Lo F) saffiche lcran. Des valeurs suprieures comme par exemple 32,1 C (89,8 F) saffichent directement. Ds que la temprature dpasse 37,8 C (100 F), un signal dalarme se fait entendre (30 tonalits brves en 10 secondes). Si la temprature dpasse 43,0 C (109,4 F), le symbole Hi C (Hi F) apparat. Le temps de mesure est largement infrieur celui des thermomtres habituels ; ce temps de mesure nest que de 10 secondes pour des mesures rectales. Un prolongement de la dure de mesure aprs le signal sonore permet dobtenir des rsultats plus prcis. Pour des mesures au niveau du creux de laisselle, il est recommand de prolonger ce temps de mesure malgr le signal sonore. Pour augmenter la dure de vie de la pile, veuillez teindre le thermomtre en appuyant brivement sur la touche MARCHE/ARRET. Au bout de 10 minutes environ, le thermomtre steint automatiquement.

Mmoire La dernire valeur mesure est automatiquement mmorise. Appuyer sur le bouton MARCHE/ARRET pour afficher cette valeur. Le symbole de la mmoire, par exemple 37,5 CM (99,5 FM), saffiche ct de la valeur mesure.

Modifier lunit de mesure Vous pouvez afficher la temprature en degrs Celsius (C) ou en degrs Fahrenheit (F). Pour rgler lunit, maintenez la touche MARCHE/ARRT enfonce au dmarrage pendant plus de 2 secondes jusqu ce que lunit de mesure soit modifie. La valeur mmorise sera affiche dans la nouvelle unit.

Remplacement des piles Le thermomtre mdical contient une pile longue dure alcali manganse (LR 41, 1,5 V) utilisable 2 ans environ. La pile doit tre change quand T saffiche sur le bord inf- rieur droit. Des doigts, comprimez le couvercle du compartiment piles lextrmit du thermomtre et tirez-le fortement vers larrire. Retirez la pile use et remplacez-la par une pile du mme type. Le ple + de la pile doit tre dirig vers le haut. Ensuite adaptez le couvercle du compartiment piles sur le thermomtre. Les piles usages et compltement dcharges doivent tre mises au rebut dans des conteneurs spciaux ou aux points de collecte rservs cet usage ou bien dposes chez un revendeur dappareils lectriques. Llimination des piles est une obligation lgale qui vous incombe. Ces pictogrammes se trouvent sur les piles substances nocives : Pb = pile contenant du plomb, Cd = pile contenant du cadmium, Hg = pile contenant du mercure.

Remarques relatives aux piles Si du liquide de la cellule de pile entre en contact avec la peau ou les yeux, rincez la

zone touche avec de leau et consultez un mdecin. Risque dingestion ! Les enfants en bas ge pourraient avaler des piles et

stouffer. Veuillez donc conserver les piles hors de porte des enfants en bas ge ! Respectez les signes de polarit plus (+) et moins (-). Si la pile a coul, enfilez des gants de protection et nettoyez le compartiment piles

avec un chiffon sec. Protgez les piles dune chaleur excessive. Risque dexplosion ! Ne jetez pas les piles dans le feu. Les piles ne doivent tre ni recharges, ni court-circuites. En cas de non utilisation prolonge de lappareil, sortez les piles du compartiment

piles. Utilisez uniquement des piles identiques ou quivalentes. Remplacez toujours lensemble des piles simultanment. Nutilisez pas daccumulateur ! Ne dmontez, nouvrez ou ne cassez pas les piles.

Entretien/Dsinfection Lappareil doit tre nettoy et dsinfect avant et aprs chaque utilisation. Le thermo- mtre est parfaitement tanche leau et peut tre immerg dans leau ou dans une solution dsinfectante sans problme aucun. Le thermomtre ne doit en aucun cas

tre plac dans leau bouillante ! Utiliser lun des dsinfectants numrs ci-dessous, conformment aux indications du fabricant. Dautres produits ou mthodes de nettoyage peuvent occasionner des dysfonctionne- ments ou endommager lappareil. Nom du produit : alcool isopropylique 70% en pharmacie; Gigasept FF ; Lysoformin ; Aseptisol.

Conservation/Elimination En cas de non utilisation du thermomtre, le conserver dans son tui dorigine. La prcision de ce thermomtre a t correctement teste et sa durabilit a t conue en vue dune utilisation long terme. Dans le cadre dune utilisation mdicale de lappareil, des contrles techniques de mesure doivent tre mens avec les moyens appropris. Pour obtenir des donnes prcises sur la vrification de la prcision de lappareil, vous pouvez faire une demande par courrier au service aprs-vente. Dans lintrt de la protection de lenvironnement, lappareil ne doit pas tre jet avec les ordures mnagres la fin de sa dure de service. Llimination doit se faire par le biais des points de collecte comptents dans votre pays. Veuillez liminer lappareil conformment la directive europenne WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) relative aux appareils lectriques et lectroniques usags. Conserve estas instrucciones y facilteselas tambin a las dems personas que utilicen este termmetro. El termmetro ha sido diseado nica y exclusivamente para la medicin de la

temperatura en las personas. El termmetro FT 15/1 solo est diseado para usarse en el punto de medicin del

cuerpo humano indicado en las instrucciones de uso.

Si mide la temperatura en los nios, no deje de vigilarlos continuamente. Controle siempre el termmetro antes de utilizarlo, para descartar desgastes o

deterioros, dado que en estos casos no debe utilizarlo ms. La medicin se debe realizar estrictamente y sin excepcin hasta que suene la seal

acstica. Comunquele a su mdico los valores de temperatura obtenidos. El termmetro consta de piezas electrnicas sensibles. Por esta razn, protjalo de

los golpes, las dobladuras, las altas temperaturas y no lo exponga a la luz directa del sol.

Este termmetro cuenta con un extremo de medicin flexible, por lo que la medicin resulta ms cmoda y segura, en particular en nios pequeos o personas dormidas o inconscientes. El extremo no debe doblarse ms de 90!

El funcionamiento en campos electromagnticos fuertes, por ejemplo, al lado de un telfono mvil, puede alterar las funciones del termmetro.

Al encenderlo, el termmetro realiza una prueba automtica. Por esta razn un control regular de la exactitud de la medicin no es necesario.

Si aparecen valores de temperatura llamativos, consulte inmediatamente a su mdi- co.

Mtodos de medicin: Medicin rectal (en el ano) Este mtodo ofrece las mediciones ms confiables y exactas. Para ello, introduzca cuidadosamente el termmetro de 2 a 3 centmetros en el ano. El tiempo de medicin con este termmetro en este punto de medicin es de aproximadamente 10 segundos. El final del tiempo de medicin se indica a travs de una seal acstica.

Medicin oral (en la boca) Introduzca el termmetro debajo de la lengua, posicionndolo en una de las dos cavidades clidas de la raz de la lengua.

Medicin axilar (en el sobaco): Este mtodo es relativamente inexacto y no es recomendable desde el punto de vista mdico. Mtodo de medicin

Utilizacin Para encender, pulse brevemente el botn On/Off. Una seal breve confirma que se ha encendido. En primer lugar, el termmetro lleva a cabo una autocomprobacin durante aproximadamente 2 segundos. Ahora todos los segmentos de la pantalla estn visibles**. A continuacin aparece brevemente en la pantalla Lo C (Lo F) o el valor de la ltima medicin. Posteriormente se muestra el valor de referencia de 37 C (98,6 F). A continuacin, parpadea el smbolo de medicin C (F) y aparece Lo C (Lo F) en la pantalla. El termmetro est listo para medir. Durante la medicin, aparece continuamente la temperatura actual y el smbolo C (F) parpadea. La medicin finaliza cuando la temperatura se estabiliza. Si se miden temperaturas superiores a 43,0 C (109,4 F), aparece el smbolo de Hi C (Hi F). El tiempo de medicin se ha reducido considerablemente en comparacin con los termmetros convencionales y la medicin rectal dura slo aproximadamente de 10 segundos. Si se prolonga la duracin de la medicin ms all de la seal, pueden obtenerse resultados de medicin ms detallados. En mediciones en la axila, debe mantenerse la duracin de la medicin reco- mendada a pesar de que suene la seal. Para prolongar la vida til de las pilas, apague el termmetro despus de la medicin accionando brevemente el botn On/Off. De lo contrario, el termmetro se apagar automticamente tras aprox. 10 minutos.

Memoria Se almacena automticamente el ltimo valor medido. Este valor se muestra al pulsar el botn On/Off. Junto con el valor de medicin aparece el smbolo de memorizacin, p. ej., 37,5 CM (99,5 FM).

Modificacin de la unidad de medicin La temperatura puede visualizarse en grados Celsius (C) o en grados Fahrenheit (F). Para ajustarlo mantenga pulsado el botn On/Off durante ms de 2 segundos hasta que se modifique la unidad de medicin. El valor memorizado se mostrar en la nueva unidad de medicin.

Cambio de pila El termmetro incluye una pila de larga duracin de manganeso alcalino (LR 41, 1,5 V), vlida para aprox. 2 aos. La pila debe cambiarse cuando aparece una T en el borde inferior derecho. Empuje con los dedos la tapa del compartimento de la pila que se encuentra en el extremo del aparato y haga fuerza hacia atrs. Extraiga la pila antigua y sustityala por una pila del mismo tipo. El polo positivo de la pila debe quedar hacia arriba. A continuacin, coloque la tapa del compartimento de la pila en la carcasa. Las pilas usadas, completamente descargadas, deben eliminarse a travs de conte- nedores de recogida sealados de forma especial, los puntos de recogida de residuos especiales o a travs de los distribuidores de equipos electrnicos. Los usuarios estn obligados por ley a eliminar las pilas correctamente. Estos smbolos se encuentran en pilas que contienen sustancias txicas: Pb: la pila contiene plomo. Cd: la pila contiene cadmio. Hg: la pila contiene mercurio.

Indicaciones para la manipulacin de pilas En caso de que el lquido de las pilas entre en contacto con la piel o los ojos, lave la

zona afectada con agua y busque asistencia mdica. Peligro de asfixia! Los nios pequeos podran tragarse las pilas y asfixiarse.

Guarde las pilas fuera del alcance de los nios. Fjese en los smbolos ms (+) y menos (-) que indican la polaridad. Si se derrama el lquido de una pila, pngase guantes protectores y limpie el compar-

timento de las pilas con un pao seco. Proteja las pilas de un calor excesivo. Peligro de explosin! No arroje las pilas al fuego. Las pilas no se pueden cargar ni cortocircuitar. Si no va a utilizar el aparato durante un periodo de tiempo prolongado, retire las pilas

del compartimento. Utilice nicamente el mismo tipo de pila o un tipo equivalente. Cambie siempre todas las pilas a la vez. No utilice bateras! No despiece, abra ni triture las pilas.

Limpieza/desinfeccin El aparato debe limpiarse y desinfectarse antes y despus de usarlo. El termmetro es 100% impermeable. Para su limpieza y/o desinfeccin se puede introducir completa- mente en agua o en sustancias recomendadas para la desinfeccin. No hierva nunca

el termmetro! Para la desinfeccin, utilice una de las sustancias que a continuacin se recomiendan; otros detergentes o mtodos pueden deteriorar el aparato o conducir a una alteracin de sus funciones. Sustancia: Alcohol isoproplico 70%, de venta en farmacias; Gigasept FF; Lysoformin; Aseptisol.

Almacenaje/Eliminacin de desechos Cuando no utilice el termmetro, gurdelo en el estuche de proteccin original. La precisin de este termmetro ha sido comprobada minuciosamente y su diseo ha sido desarrollado con vistas a una larga vida til del aparato. Si se utiliza el aparato en el ejercicio de la medicina debern realizarse controles me- trolgicos utilizando para ello los medios oportunos. Puede solicitar informacin ms precisa sobre la comprobacin de la precisin de los valores de medicin al servicio de asistencia tcnica en la direccin indicada en este documento. A fin de preservar el medio ambiente, cuando el aparato cumpla su vida til no lo tire con la basura domstica. Se puede desechar en los puntos de recogida adecuados disponibles en su zona. Deseche el aparato segn la Directiva europea sobre residuos de aparatos elctricos y electrnicos (RAEE). Las siguientes condiciones de garanta no afectan a las obligaciones de garanta que la ley prescribe para el vendedor y que emanan del contrato de compra celebrado con el comprador. La garanta se aplicar adems sin perjuicio de las normas legales preceptivas.

Beurer garantiza el perfecto funcionamiento y la integralidad de este producto.

La garanta mundial tiene una validez de 5 aos a partir de la fecha de compra del producto nuevo y sin utilizar por parte del comprador.

Esta garanta se ofrece solo para productos que el comprador haya adquirido en tanto que consumidor con fines exclusivamente personales en el marco de una utilizacin privada en el hogar. Se aplica la legislacin alemana.

En el caso de que, durante el periodo de garanta, este producto resultara estar incompleto o no funcionara correctamente conforme a lo dispuesto en las siguientes disposiciones, Beurer se compromete a sustituir el producto o a repararlo segn las presentes condiciones de garanta.

Quedan excluidos explcitamente de la presente garanta - el desgaste que se produce por el uso o el consumo normal del producto; - los accesorios suministrados con el producto que se desgastan o consumen durante

un uso normal (p. ej., pilas, bateras, brazaletes, juntas, electrodos, luminarias, cabezales y accesorios de inhalacin);

- productos cuyo uso, limpieza, almacenamiento o mantenimiento sea indebido o vaya contra lo dispuesto en las instrucciones de uso, as como productos que hayan sido abiertos, reparados o modificados por el comprador o por un centro de servicio tcnico no autorizado por Beurer;

- daos que se hayan producido durante el transporte entre las instalaciones del fabricante y las del cliente o bien entre el centro de servicio tcnico y el cliente;

- productos que se hayan adquirido como productos de calidad inferior o de segunda mano;

- daos derivados que resulten de una falta del producto. En este caso, podran invocarse eventualmente derechos derivados de la normativa de responsabilidad de productos o de otras disposiciones de responsabilidad legal preceptiva.

Las reparaciones o la sustitucin del producto no prolongarn en ningn caso el periodo de garanta.

Belangrijke veiligheidsaanwijzingen bewaren voor later gebruik. Om alle voordelen van de koortsthermometer optimaal te kunnen benutten, dient u de gebruiksaanwijzing voor ingebruikneming zorg vuldig door te lezen, voor verder gebruik te bewaren en ook voor andere gebruikers toegankelijk te maken. De thermometer is uitsluitend bestemd voor het meten van de menselijke lichaam-

stemperatuur.

De FT 15/1-thermometer is alleen bestemd voor gebruik op het in de gebruiksaanwij zing aangegeven meetpunt op het menselij k lichaam.

Het apparaat mag niet zonder toezicht aan kinderen worden gegeven. Controleer de thermometer iedere keer voordat u hem opnieuw gebruikt op tekenen

van beschadiging of slijtage. Beschadigde of versleten thermometers mogen niet meer worden gebruikt.

De minimale meettijd tot aan het geluidssignaal dient zonder uitzondering te worden nageleefd. Bespreek de vastgestelde waarden met uw huisarts.

De thermometer bevat gevoelige elektronische componenten. Bescherm hem daarom tegen schokken, buigen, hoge temperaturen of directe zonnestraling.

Deze thermometer heeft een flexibel meetpunt en is dus comfortabeler en biedt meer zekerheid bij het meten, vooral bij kleine kinderen, slapenden of mensen met een verlaagd bewustzijn. De punt mag u niet verder dan 90 buigen!

Gebruik in de buurt van sterke elektromagnetische velden, zoals bijv. naast een mobiele telefoon, kan tot een foutieve werking leiden.

De thermometer voert bij het inschakelen een zelftest uit. Controleren van de meet- nauwkeurigheid is niet nodig.

Neem direct contact op met uw huisarts in geval van buitengewone temperatuur waarden.

Het apparaat voldoet aan de EU-richtlijn voor medische hulpmiddelen 93/42/EEC, de Duitse wet inzake medische producten, de Europese norm EN 12470-3: Medische thermometers - Deel 3: Prestatie van compacte elektrische (extrapole- rende en niet-extrapolerende) thermometers met maximaalelement evenals aan de Europese norm EN 60601-1-2 (overeenstemming met CISPR 11, IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-8), en is onderworpen aan bijzondere veiligheidsmaatre- gelen op het gebied van elektromagnetische compatibiliteit. Houd er daarbij rekening mee dat draagbare en mobiele HF-communicatie-installaties dit apparaat kunnen benvloeden.

Aanwijzingen met betrekking tot elektromagnetische compatibiliteit

Het apparaat is geschikt voor gebruik in alle omgevingen die in deze gebruiksaanwij- zing worden vermeld, waaronder de thuisomgeving.

Het apparaat kan bij de aanwezigheid van elektromagnetische storingen onder om- standigheden mogelijk slechts beperkt worden gebruikt. Als gevolg daarvan kunnen bijv. foutmeldingen ontstaan of kan het display/apparaat uitvallen.

Het gebruik van dit apparaat direct naast andere apparaten of met andere apparaten in gestapelde vorm moet worden vermeden, omdat dit een onjuiste werking tot gevolg kan hebben. Als gebruik op de hiervoor beschreven wijze noodzakelijk is, moeten dit apparaat en de andere apparaten in de gaten worden gehouden om er zeker van te zijn dat ze correct werken.

Het gebruik van andere toebehoren dan de toebehoren die de fabrikant van dit apparaat vastgelegd of beschikbaar gesteld heeft, kan verhoogde elektromagneti- sche storingen of een verminderde bestandheid tegen storingen tot gevolg hebben, waardoor het apparaat mogelijk niet correct werkt.

Als deze instructie niet in acht wordt genomen, kan dit de prestatiekenmerken van het apparaat negatief benvloeden.

Meetmethoden: Temperatuurmeting in de anus (rectaal) Deze meetmethode is het betrouwbaarst en het nauwkeurigst. Breng hiervoor de punt van de thermometer voorzichtig 23 cm in de anus. De meettijd bedraagt met deze thermometer, op deze meetplek slechts ca. 10 seconden. Het einde van de meettijd wordt met een signaaltoon aangegeven.

Temperatuurmeting in de mondholte (oraal) Breng hiervoor de punt van de thermometer in n van de beide warmtezakken onder de tong of naast de tongwortel.

Temperatuurmeting in de okselholte (axillair) Deze meetmethode is relatief onnauwkeurig en kan daarom vanuit medisch oogpunt niet worden aangeraden. Meetmethode Aanbevolen meettijd Gemiddelde afwijking t.o.v.

Gebruik Druk om het apparaat in te schakelen kort op de AAN-/UIT-knop. Een korte signaaltoon bevestigt het inschakelen. Vervolgens voert de thermometer gedurende ca. 2 seconden een zelftest uit. Hierbij zijn alle segmenten van de display zichtbaar**. Daarna verschijnt kort Lo C (Lo F) resp. de laatste meting in de display. Vervolgens verschijnt de referentiewaarde van 37 C (98,6 F). Vervolgens knippert het meetsymbool C (F) en in de display wordt Lo C (Lo F) weergegeven. De thermometer is nu klaar voor meting. Gedurende de meting wordt de huidige temperatuur doorlopend getoond en het C (F)-teken knippert. De meting wordt beindigd, wanneer een constante temperatuur bereikt is. Een acoustisch signaal klinkt (10 lange pieptonen), het C (F)-teken knippert niet meer en de gemeten temperatuurwaarde wordt getoond. Zolang de gemeten temperatuur lager dan 32 C (89,6 F) is, knippert het meetsymbool C (F) en wordt in het display Lo C (Lo F) weergegeven. Hogere waarden worden direct weergegeven, bijv. 32,1 C

(89,8 F). Indien temperaturen hoger dan 37,8 C (100 F) worden gemeten klinkt er een koortsalarm (30 korte pieptonen in 10 Sekunden) Indien temperaturen hoger dan 43,0 C (109,4 F) gemeten worden, dan verschijnt het symbool voor Hi C (Hi F). De meettijd is in vergelijking met conventionele thermometers sterk verkort, en bedraagt bij rectale meting slechts ca. 10 seconden. Door verlenging van de meetduur na de signaaltoon kunnen preciezere meetresultaten verkregen worden. Bj metingen in de ok- selholte moet de aanbevolen meetduur ondanks de signaaltoon aangehouden worden. Om de levensduur van de batterij te verlengen kunt u de thermometer na de meting uitschakelen door kort op de AAN-/UIT-toets te drukken. In het andere geval schakelt de thermometer zichzelf na ca. 10 minuten automatisch uit.

Geheugen De laatste meetwaarde wordt automatisch opgeslagen. Deze waarde wordt bij het indrukken van de AAN/UIT-toets getoond. Naast de meetwaarde verschijnt het geheu- gensymbool, bijv. 37,5 CM (99,5 FM).

Meeteenheid wijzigen U kunt de temperatuur in graden Celsius (C) en graden Fahrenheit (F) laten weergeven. Bij het instellen houdt u de AAN/UIT-toets bij het inschakelen langer dan 2 seconden ingedrukt totdat de meeteenheid wordt gewijzigd. De opgeslagen waarde wordt in de nieuwe meeteenheid weergegeven.

Batterijwissel De koortsthermometer bevat een alkali-mangaanbatterij met een lange levensduur (LR 41, 1,5 V) voor ca. 2 jaar. De batterij moet vervangen worden wanneer bij de rechteronderrand T verschijnt. Druk eerst het deksel van het batterijvak aan het eind van het apparaat met de vingers samen en schuif deze krachtig naar achteren. Verwijder de oude batterij en vervang deze door een batterij van hetzelfde type. Het +-teken op de batterij moet naar boven wijzen. Plaats vervolgens het deksel van het batterijvak op de behuizing. Deponeer de gebruikte, volledig lege batterijen in de daarvoor specifiek bestemde afvalbakken of bied ze bij het afvalverwerkingsstation of de elektriciteitszaak aan als chemisch afval. U bent wettelijk verplicht de batterijen correct te verwijderen. Deze tekens kunt u aantreffen op batterijen met schadelijke stoffen: Pb = batterij bevat lood, Cd = batterij bevat cadmium, Hg = batterij bevat kwik.

Tips voor de omgang met batterijen Als vloeistof uit de batterijcel in aanraking komt met de huid of de ogen, moet u de

betreffende plek met water spoelen en een arts raadplegen. Gevaar voor inslikken! Kleine kinderen kunnen batterijen inslikken, met verstik-

king als gevolg. Bewaar batterijen daarom buiten het bereik van kleine kinderen! Neem de aanduiding van de polariteit (plus (+) en min (-)) in acht. Als er een batterij is gaan lekken, moet u veiligheidshandschoenen aantrekken en het

batterijvak met een droge doek reinigen. Bescherm de batterijen tegen overmatige hitte. Explosiegevaar! Werp batterijen niet in vuur. Batterijen mogen niet worden opgeladen en niet worden kortgesloten. Haal de batterijen uit het batterijvak als u het apparaat langere tijd niet gebruikt. Gebruik alleen hetzelfde of een gelijkwaardig type batterij.

Vervang altijd alle batterijen tegelijk. Gebruik geen oplaadbare batterijen! Haal batterijen niet uit elkaar, open ze niet en hak ze niet in kleine stukken.

Reiniging/desinfectie Reinig en desinfecteer het apparaat voor en na elk gebruik. De thermometer is 100% waterdicht en kan voor reiniging resp. desinfectie probleemloos in water of een desinfecterende oplossing worden gedompeld. De thermometer mag in geen geval worden uitgekookt! Gebruik n van de hierna genoemde desinfecterende middelen volgens de instructies van de fabrikant. Andere reinigingsmiddelen of methoden kunnen leiden tot functiesto- ringen of beschadiging van het apparaat. Naam van het middel: Isopropylalcohol 70%, Gigasept FF, Lysoformin, Aseptisol.

Bewaren/Verwijdering Wanneer u de thermometer niet gebruikt, bewaar hem dan in de originele bescherm- huls. De nauwkeurigheid van deze thermometer is zorgvuldig gecontroleerd en het apparaat is ontwikkeld met het oog op een lange gebruiksduur. Wanneer het apparaat wordt gebruikt in de geneeskunde moeten meettechnische con- troles met daarvoor geschikte middelen worden uitgevoerd. Uitgebreide informatie voor het controleren van de nauwkeurigheid kan worden aangevraagd via het serviceadres. Met het oog op het milieu mag het apparaat aan het einde van zijn levensduur niet met het gewone huisvuil worden weggegooid. Het verwijderen kan via gespecialiseerde verzamelpunten in uw land gebeuren. Verwijder het apparaat conform de EU-richtlijn voor afgedankte elektrische en elektronische apparatuur WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Beurer garandeert de probleemloze werking en de volledigheid van dit product.

De wereldwijde garantieperiode bedraagt 5 jaar vanaf het moment van aankoop van het nieuwe, ongebruikte product door de koper.

Deze garantie geldt alleen voor producten die de koper als consument heeft aan- geschaft en die de koper uitsluitend voor persoonlijke doeleinden in het kader van thuisgebruik gebruikt. Het Duitse recht is van toepassing.

Als dit product tijdens de garantieperiode onvolledig of wat betreft de werking gebrek- kig overeenkomstig de volgende bepalingen blijkt te zijn, zal Beurer overeenkomstig deze garantievoorwaarden een gratis vervangende levering of reparatie verzorgen.

Als de koper een garantieclaim wil indienen, neemt hij eerst contact op met de lokale verkoper: zie de meegeleverde lijst Service International met ser viceadressen.

De koper krijgt dan nadere informatie over de afwikkeling van de garantieclaim, bijvoor- beeld over waar hij het product naartoe moet sturen of welke documenten nodig zijn.

Er kan alleen aanspraak op garantie worden gemaakt als de koper - een kopie van de factuur/aankoopbon en - het originele product aan Beurer of een geautoriseerde partner van Beurer kan overleggen.

Uitdrukkelijk uitgesloten van deze garantie zijn - slijtage die veroorzaakt is door normaal gebruik of verbruik van het product; - met dit product meegeleverde toebehoren die bij correct gebruik slijten of verbruikt

worden (bijvoorbeeld batterijen, accus, manchetten, afdichtingen, elektroden, lampen, opzetstukken en inhalatortoebehoren);

- producten die oneigenlijk en/of anders dan vermeld in de bepalingen van de ge- bruiksaanwijzing gebruikt, gereinigd, opgeborgen of onderhouden zijn en producten die door de koper of door een niet door Beurer geautoriseerd servicecenter geopend, gerepareerd of omgebouwd zijn;

- schade die tijdens het transport tussen fabrikant en klant en/of tussen servicecenter en klant ontstaat;

- producten die als B-stockartikelen of als gebruikte artikelen gekocht zijn; - gevolgschade die op een gebrek van dit product berust (voor dit geval kunnen echter

aanspraken uit productaansprakelijkheid of uit andere dwingende wettelijke aanspra- kelijkheidsbepalingen bestaan).

Reparaties of een complete vervanging verlengen in geen geval de garantieperiode. Fouten en wijzigingen voorbehouden

Per potere utilizzare in modo ottimale tutti i vantaggi del termometro, si raccomanda di leggere attentamente le istruzioni per luso prima di utilizzare lo strumento, di conservarle per impiego futuro e renderle accessibili anche a chiunque intenda servirsi del termometro.

Il termometro destinato esclusivamente a misurare la temperatura corporea umana. Il termometro FT 15/1 stato concepito solo per la zona di misurazione del corpo

umano indicata nelle istruzioni per luso. I bambini non possono utilizzare lo strumento senza il controllo di un adulto. Prima di ogni nuovo impiego, controllare che il termometro non presenti segni di

danni o usura. Non utilizzare termometri danneggiati o usurati. Rispettare senza eccezioni la durata minima di misurazione fino alla comparsa del

segnale acustico. Comunicare i risultati al medico curante. Il termometro contiene componenti elettroniche sensibili. Si raccomanda pertanto di

proteggerlo da urti, piegature, temperature elevate o raggi solari diretti. Questo termometro dotato di un punta flessibile che garantisce un maggiore

comfort e pi sicurezza durante la misurazione, in particolare in bambini piccoli, pazienti addormentati o semi-coscienti. Non piegare la punta oltre 90!

Il funzionamento in prossimit di forti campi elettromagnetici, come ad esempio un telefono cellulare, pu causare anomalie di funzionamento.

Allaccensione, il termometro esegue un auto-test. Non necessario controllare la precisione della misurazione.

In caso di temperature anomale, rivolgersi immediatamente al proprio medico curan- te.

Lapparecchio conforme ai requisiti della direttiva europea per i dispositivi medici 93/42/EEC, alla legge sui dispositivi medici, alla norma europea EN 12470-3: Termometri clinici - Parte 3: termometri elettrici compatti (a comparazione ed estrapolazione) aventi un dispositivo di massimo e alla norma europea EN 60601-1-2 (conformit con CISPR 11, IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-8) e necessita di precauzioni dimpiego particolari per quanto riguarda la compatibilit elettromagnetica. Apparecchiature di comunicazione HF mobili e portatili possono influire sul funzionamento di questo apparecchio.

Avvertenze sulla compatibilit elettromagnetica Lapparecchio idoneo per lutilizzo in qualsiasi ambiente riportato nelle presenti

istruzioni per luso, incluso lambiente domestico. In determinate circostanze, in presenza di disturbi elettromagnetici lapparecchio pu

essere utilizzato solo limitatamente. Ne possono conseguire ad es. messaggi di errore o un guasto del display/apparecchio.

Evitare di utilizzare il presente apparecchio nelle immediate vicinanze di altri apparecchi o con apparecchi in posizione impilata, poich ci potrebbe determinare un funzionamento non corretto. Qualora fosse comunque necessario un utilizzo nel

modo prescritto, opportuno tenere sotto controllo questo apparecchio e gli altri apparecchi in modo da assicurarsi che funzionino correttamente.

Metodi di misura: Misurazione della temperatura nellano (rettale) Questo metodo di misura il pi affidabile e preciso. Introdurre con precauzione la pun- ta del termometro nellanno di 2 3 cm. La misurazione in questo sito con il presente termometro richiede solo 10 secondi circa. La fine della misurazione viene indicata con un segnale sonoro.

Misurazione della temperatura in bocca (orale) Introdurre la punta del termometro in una delle due cavit sotto la lingua o accanto alla radice linguale.

Modalit duso Per accendere premere brevemente il tasto ON/OFF. Laccensione confermata da un breve segnale acustico. In primo luogo, il termo- metro esegue un autotest per circa 2 secondi. In questa fase sono visibili tutti i segmenti dellindicazione**. Sul display compare quindi brevemente Lo C (Lo F) o il valore dellultima misurazione effettuata. Successivamente, appare il valore di riferimento di 37 C (98,6 F). Successivamente lampeggia il simbolo di misurazione C (F) ed il display visualizza Lo C (Lo F). Il termometro pronto a misurare. Durante la misurazione, viene visualizzata continuamente la temperatura attuale e il simbolo C (F) lampeggia. La misurazione si conclude quando stata raggiunta una temperatura stabile. Risuona un segnale acustico (10 bip lunghi), il simbolo C (F) smette di lampeggiare e il display visualizza il valore misurato della temperatura. Finch la temperatura misurata inferiore a 32 C (89,6 F), lampeggia il simbolo di misurazione C (F) ed il display visualizza Lo C (Lo F). Valori superiori vengono indicati direttamente, ad es. 32,1 C (89,8 F). In caso di temperature superiori a 37,5 C (100 F), risuona un segnale di allarme (30 brevi bip in 10 secondi). Se vengono misurate

temperature superiori a 43,0 C (109,4 F), compare il simbolo Hi C (Hi F). Il tempo di misurazione enormemente ridotto rispetto ai termometri convenzionali, e nella misurazione rettale dura circa solo 10 secondi. Prolungando la durata di misurazione oltre al segnale acustico, si ottengono risultati pi precisi. Quando si eseguono misurazioni nellascella, rispettare la durata di misurazione malgrado il segnale acustico. Per prolungare la durata in servizio delle batterie, spegnere il termometro dopo la misurazione premendo brevemente il tasto ON/OFF. In caso contrario, il termometro si spegne automaticamente dopo circa 10 minuti.

Memoria Lultimo valore misurato viene memorizzato automaticamente. Tale valore viene visualiz- zato premendo il pulsante ON/OFF. Oltre al valore misurato, compare anche il simbolo della memoria, ad es. 37,5 CM (99,5 FM).

Cambio dellunit di misura La temperatura pu essere indicata in gradi centigradi (C) e in gradi Fahrenheit (F). Per limpostazione, tener premuto il pulsante durante laccensione pi a lungo di 2 secondi finch lunit di misura non cambia. Il valore memorizzato viene indicato nella nuova unit di misura.

Sostituzione delle batterie Il termometro clinico contiene una batteria alcalina al manganese di lunga durata (LR 41, 1,5 V), con unautonomia di circa 2 anni. La batteria deve essere sostituita quando appare la lettera T nel margine inferiore destro. Comprimere con le dita il coperchio del vano batteria allestremit dellapparecchio e tirarlo con forza allindietro. Estrarre la batteria esausta e sostituirla con una batteria dello stesso tipo. Il segno + sulla batteria deve essere rivolto verso lalto. Riapplicare quindi il coperchio sul vano batteria. Smaltire le batterie esauste e completamente scariche negli appositi punti di raccolta, nei punti di raccolta per rifiuti tossici o presso i negozi di elettronica. Lo smaltimento delle batterie un obbligo di legge. I simboli riportati di seguito indicano che le batterie contengono sostanze tossiche. Pb = batteria contenente piombo, Cd = batteria contenente cadmio, Hg = batteria contenente mercurio.

Avvertenze sulluso delle batterie Se il liquido della batteria viene a contatto con la pelle e con gli occhi, sciacquare le

parti interessate con acqua e consultare il medico. Pericolo dingestione! I bambini possono ingerire le batterie e soffocare. Tenere

quindi le batterie lontano dalla portata dei bambini! Prestare attenzione alla polarit positiva (+) e negativa (-). In caso di fuoriuscita di liquido dalla batteria, indossare guanti protettivi e pulire il

vano batterie con un panno asciutto. Proteggere le batterie dal caldo eccessivo. Rischio di esplosione! Non gettare le batterie nel fuoco. Le batterie non devono essere ricaricate o mandate in cortocircuito.

Qualora lapparecchio non dovesse essere utilizzato per un periodo prolungato, rimuovere le batteria dal vano batterie.

Utilizzare solo tipologie di batterie uguali o equivalenti. Sostituire sempre tutte le batterie contemporaneamente. Non utilizzare batterie ricaricabili! Non smontare, aprire o frantumare le batterie.

Pulizia/Disinfezione Il termometro completamente impermeabile e pu essere immerso senza problemi nellacqua o in soluzioni disinfettante. Non bollire il termometro in nessun caso! Utilizzare uno dei disinfettanti elencati di seguito, seguendo le istruzioni del produttore. Altri detergenti o metodi possono causare anomalie di funzionamento o danni allo strumento. Nome del prodotto: Isopropil alcol 70%, Gigasept FF, Lysoformin, Aseptisol.

Conservazione/Smaltimento In caso di non utilizzo, conservare il termometro nellastuccio originale. La precisione di questo termometro stata accuratamente testata ed stata sviluppata per una lunga durata di vita utile. Se lapparecchio viene utilizzato a scopo professionale, necessario effettuare controlli tecnici con gli strumenti adeguati. Richiedere informazioni dettagliate sulla verifica della precisione allindirizzo indicato del servizio assistenza. Per motivi ecologici, lapparecchio non deve essere smaltito tra i normali rifiuti quando viene buttato via. Lo smaltimento deve essere effettuato negli appositi centri di raccolta. Smaltire lapparecchio secondo la direttiva europea sui rifiuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche (RAEE).
