7. ANWENDUNG WARNUNG

20

shown inside the battery compartment. When inserting the batteries, en- sure that the correct polarity (+/-) is observed.

3. Slide the battery compartment lid 5 closed until you feel and hear it click into place.

7. USAGE WARNING

Before use, make sure that there is no insect sting remaining in the area that was stung. Remove the sting carefully before use. Use immediately after the insect bite or sting achieves the best results. If you wait too long to treat

46

the area that has been stung or bitten and itching and swelling have already started, the insect bite healer can only have a limited effect. Nevertheless, treat the area with the insect bite healer. Usually, itching can be relieved and healing can be sped up.

1. Slide the ON/OFF switch 2 towards the heating plate 4 with the symbol I for ON. The device status LED 3 lights up green and indicates to you that the device is ready to use.

2. Place the heating plate 4 of the device on the area that has been stung or bitten. Press the activation button 1 once. The device status LED 3 lights up blue and signals that the application is starting.

3. After the end of the application, an acoustic signal sounds, heating of the heating plate 4 stops automatically and the device status LED 3 lights up green again. Remove the heating plate 4 from the area of skin once the signal sounds.

47

IMPORTANT Depending on the sensitivity of the person using the device and of the area of skin, the treatment temperature may feel unpleasant and cause slight skin redness and, in rare cases, irritated skin. If the heat function feels too hot, stop treatment immediately.

4. If required, you can use the heat function of the insect bite healer on the sting/bite again after a break of 2 minutes or also use it immediately on an- other sting/bite in a different area. The maximum number of 5 applications per hour on the same treatment area must not be exceeded.

5. If the device is no longer required, set it to OFF again using the ON/OFF switch 2 . This is indicated by the O symbol. The blue device status LED 3 turns off.

6. Before storing, make sure that the device is switched off and the heating plate 4 has cooled down.

48

Battery warning Before the battery level becomes too low for other applications, the device status LED + starts to flash 3x and an acoustic signal sounds 3x. Replace both batteries soon, as described in section 6.

8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Observe the following hygiene instructions to avoid health risks:

The device is intended for multiple uses. It is recommended that the device is cleaned before first use and each

additional use. The device must be switched off, allowed to cool down and the batteries

removed each time before cleaning. Use only soft, dry cloths for cleaning the housing. Never use any substances for cleaning that could potentially be toxic if

they came into contact with the skin or mucous membranes, or if they were swallowed or inhaled. Do not use any abrasive cleaning products and never submerge the device in water.

49

Do not clean the device and karabiner in the dishwasher! Avoid mechanical cleaning with brushes or similar, as this could result in

irreparable damage. When using the device on multiple areas that have been stung and bitten,
