2 SIM Card Installation

Prepare a STANDARD SIZED SIM Card. NOTE: The MWR647 only accepts

Standard sized SIM Cards. You may use a SIM Card adapter if your SIM card is Micro or Nano in size.

slot, then gently insert it to the SIM card slot until you here a locking sound.

The MWR647 supports 3G/4G wireless internet.

After inserting a SIM card, it will automatically convert the 3G/4G signal to Wi-Fi signals, giving your wireless devices internet access, anytime and anywhere.

Connecting an Ethernet device (e.g. computer, laptop) to your MWR647s Ethernet port also enables your device to have internet connection.

4G Internet access steps: Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot correctly. Turn on the MWR647, and it will connect to 4G automatically. The System Indicator will flash, indicating that it is currently connecting to a 4G network. The MWR647 has connected succesfully when the System Indicator stops flashing and turns to red. You may now connect your wireless devices to the wireless network.

The Main Reasons for 4G Dialing failure: Improper SIM Card installation. A wrong SIM card has been inserted. SIM card must match the current version. On your iPhone, press Settings > WLAN. If the Wi-Fi status is OFF, turn it ON. On the Wireless Network list, scan for AztechMWR64_ xxxx, tap it and correctly enter the wireless password found at the back panel of your MWR647. A check would be seen beside the AztechMWR64_ xxxx network name, indicating a succesful connection.

On your smartphone, press Settings > Wi-Fi. On the Wireless Network list, scan for AztechMWR64_xxxx, tap it and correctly enter the wireless password found at the back panel of your MWR647. A Connected status would be seen below the AztechMWR64_xxxx network name, indicating a succesful connection.

6 Accessing the Web User Interface Open any web browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Internet Explorer), then enter http://12.168.2.1 on the adress bar. Enter admin for its username and password. Click Confirm, and you will automatically be redirected to your MWR647s Web User Interface as seen below:

Configuring the Wireless Settings MWR647 supports common WEP, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryption standard. It is highly recommended to use a high level of security encrytion, WPA2-PSK.

Connect wirelessly to your MWR647. Access the Web User Interface. Go to WLAN > Security Settings. Choose WPA2-PSK as the security mode. Select preferred WPA Algorithm. On the Passphrase input field, enter your preferred wireless password. Click the Apply button to save changes. You will be disconnected to the MWR647 automatically. Reconnect to the AztechMWR64_xxxx wireless network using the password you have specified.

8 Internet Using Wire Mode Access the Web User Interface. Click Network > Internet Settings then choose Wire Mode. Click Apply to save settings. You may now connect your MWR647 router to your modem using an Ethernet cable.

Charging Essentials A. Charging your Mobile Phones using the MWR64

Your MWR647 can be used as power bank to charge smartphones and tablets. To use this feature, connect your device to the MWR647 through a USB cable then move the power switch to C mode to begin charging.

NOTE: Do not charge the MWR647 when you are charging your mobile phone. This may reduce the battery life of your device.

The Charging Indicator displays red when you are charging the MWR647. The Charging Indicator would turn OFF indicating that it has already finished charging. It is important to take note that in charging your router, ONLy USE THE CHARGER PROVIDED IN THE DEVICE PACKAGE. It takes 4-5 HOURS of charging time to achieve a fully charged battery.
