Before first use 1. Unpack the Kettle Popcorn Maker from the box. 2. Remove any unwanted package materials such as cardboard, plastics or

styrofoam. 3. Before first use, clean the inside of the unit by wiping clean all the parts,

including the kettle, with a non-abrasive soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a non-abrasive towel. DO NOT IMMERSE THE KETTLE POPCORN MAKER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.

4. Please note this item and its parts are not dishwasher safe. Please hand wash. 5. Be sure the kettle is properly placed in the brackets before starting.

Basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances.

2. Keep the popcorn maker out of reach of children. 3. This popcorn maker is not a toy. 4. Never leave the popcorn maker connected to the power outlet when not in

use. 5. Never pull the power cord to remove from outlet. 6. Never immerse the popcorn maker in water or any other liquid. 7. Do not use the popcorn maker for other than intended use. Do not use

outdoors. For household use, only. 8. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near

15. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer

may result in fire, electrical shock, or risk of injury. 16. Make sure inside plug is securely attached to the outlet in the kettle before

plugging in the external power cord to a wall outlet. To disconnect, turn to OFF, then remove plug from the wall outlet.

17. Do not place popcorn maker on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

18. Never use the popcorn maker near water. 19. Never use a scouring pad or an abrasive sponge or cloth to clean the popcorn

maker or any of the parts. 20. Do not clean any parts of the popcorn maker in a dishwasher. 21. Extreme caution must be used when moving the kettle containing hot oil or

any other hot liquids. 22. Check kettle for the presence of foreign objects prior to use. 23. Never force the kettle in or out of the brackets as this may cause the gears to

become misaligned and the popcorn maker will not operate properly. 24. Do not leave the kettle motor running once the popping has ceased. 25. Make sure the motor plug is plugged into the kettle and that the kettle is

properly attached to brackets before operating. 26. Do not attempt to repair the popcorn maker yourself. Please contact

customer service. 27. Avoid contact with moving parts.

The warnings, cautions, and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also the cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W., and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally. Polarized plug NOTE:

This popcorn maker has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).

As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way.

If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.

If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Electric power If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your popcorn maker may not operate properly. The popcorn maker should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances.

Before first use, clean the inside of the unit by wiping clean all the parts, including the kettle, with a non-abrasive soft damp cloth or sponge and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a non-abrasive towel. DO NOT IMMERSE THE KETTLE POPCORN MAKER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. Be sure the kettle is properly placed in the brackets before starting.

How to Use 1. Find a flat surface near an electrical outlet before starting. Make sure the cord

is away from any water source. It is acceptable to use an extension cord if needed (see electrical rating in safety instructions).

2. Hold the kettle still with left hand while putting on the crank handle with your right hand (turning toward you) until it is tight.

3. Gather your popcorn making supplies such as popcorn, seasonings, bowls, bags, cooking oil, and the kernel and oil measuring spoon that is included with the unit.

4. Make sure the kettle is properly secured in the support brackets.

5. Next, make sure the kettle motor is plugged in.

6. With the power switch on OFF, plug the external power cord into an outlet. 7. Turn the popcorn maker on by pressing the switch at the top of the machine

to ON and allow the kettle to heat up for about 3-5 minutes, then turn to OFF.

8. A small amount of smoke and/or odor may occur during heating due to the release of manufacturing oils, this is normal and will go away after first few uses.

9. Some minor expansion/contraction sounds may occur during heating and

cooling, this is normal. 10. Using the small end of the measuring spoon provided (about 2/3

tablespoon), add your favorite popcorn cooking oil to the kettle. For best popping results, it is recommended to use light vegetable oil.

11. Using the big end of the measuring spoon provided (about 1 ounce), add popcorn kernels to the kettle.

12. Close the door and turn the popcorn maker to ON. After about 2-3 minutes, popcorn will begin to pop and eventually overflow into the plastic tray.

13. Once there is a pause of about 2-3 seconds between popping, turn the popcorn maker to OFF and tip the kettle by turning the crank handle (toward you) to release the popcorn.

14. If popping additional batches of popcorn, repeat steps 9 through 13, making sure to empty the plastic tray once full or in between batches.

15. If not popping additional batches, unplug the popcorn maker from the wall outlet and let cool completely.

CAUTION: The kettle is hot! Empty the popcorn immediately to avoid burning. DO NOT attempt to unplug the kettle cord while the

appliance is still hot!

Helpful hints

Store popcorn in airtight containers made of glass or plastic to avoid moisture loss in the kernels. Store container in a cool dry place, however, do not store in refrigerator.

Always use fresh popcorn. Dried out, stale or old popcorn will pop poorly as it has lost its moisture content and may scorch.

If popcorn does not pop, it is usually the result of environmental factors such as the freshness and moisture content of the popcorn. Unpopped kernels do not necessarily indicate a defect in the appliance.

Over time, salt and oil can abrade and make the popcorn maker walls dirty. It is important to thoroughly clean and dry after ever use.

If the kettle is not heating, check that the cord is securely plugged into the outlet on the kettle itself.

If the popcorn maker begins to smoke during cooking, it may be due to grease build up. To reduce smoking, make sure that the inside of the kettle is clean in between uses.

Other than popping with vegetable oil, try healthy choices like extra virgin olive oil, canola oil, coconut oil, corn oil, peanut oil, or sunflower oil. Specialty oils may also be used, but some experimentation may be necessary to find the best popping results and flavor you prefer.

Cleaning and maintenance CAUTION: Always be sure that the kettle popcorn maker is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning or attempting to store the item. NEVER IMMERSE the popcorn maker or the kettle in water or any other liquid. It is important to clean your popcorn maker thoroughly after each use to prevent sticky build ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the popcorn maker can lead to a clean, better tasting food. 1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, be sure to unplug

from power outlet first. 2. Let the kettle cool completely before removing or cleaning. 3. Remove the individual parts from the popcorn maker. 4. Use a slightly damp, non-abrasive towel or cloth to wipe down the inside and

outside of the main unit, then wipe with a non-abrasive towel to dry. before storing. NOTE: Never place any parts in the dishwasher, always wash everything by hand.

5. Unplug the kettle motor and remove from support brackets. 6. After removing the kettle, fill it 2/3 full with hot soapy water. 7. Let the kettle sit for 15-20 minutes to cut the grease. Empty the water. If

necessary, use a cleaning sponge to scrub inside of kettle. 8. Carefully rinse inside only and dry thoroughly. Wipe outside of kettle with

damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel. 9. Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the popcorn maker. NOTE: To protect the motor plug from getting wet, NEVER IMMERSE the kettle in any liquid. Never place any parts in the dishwasher. Always wash all parts by hand.

Antes del primer uso, limpie el interior de la unidad y todas las piezas, incluido el recipiente, con un pao hmedo y suave no abrasivo o una esponja y agua tibia. 8. Una pequea cantidad de humo u olor puede producirse durante el

maz del tomacorriente y djela enfriar por completo.

PRECAUCIN: El recipiente est caliente! Quite las palomitas de inmediato para evitar quemarse. NO intente desenchufar el cable del

recipiente mientras el aparato siga caliente!

Consejos tiles

Guarde las semillas en contenedores sellados de vidrio o plstico para evitar la prdida de humedad. Almacene el contenedor en un lugar fro, mas no en el refrigerador.

Siempre use semillas frescas. Las semillas de maz secas, rancias o viejas no explotarn bien ya que habrn perdido la humedad por lo que se quemarn.

Si las semillas no explotan, puede deberse por lo general a factores ambientales como la frescura y el contenido de humedad de las semillas. Las semillas sin explotar no necesariamente indican una avera del aparato.

Es importante limpiar la mquina para hacer palomitas de maz a fondo despus de cada uso para evitar acumulaciones pegajosas que son difciles de limpiar despus. Una mquina para hacer palomitas de maz limpia puede preparar alimentos ms limpios y con mejor sabor. 1. Al limpiar o dar mantenimiento a esta unidad, asegrese de desenchufarla del

tomacorriente primero. 2. Deje que el recipiente se enfre por completo antes de extraerlo o limpiarlo. 3. Quite las piezas individuales de la mquina para hacer palomitas de maz. 4. Use una toalla o pao no abrasivo y apenas hmedo para limpiar el interior y

exterior de la unidad principal. Luego use una toalla no abrasiva para secarla antes de almacenarla. NOTA: Nunca coloque piezas en el lavavajillas; lave siempre todo a mano.

5. Desenchufe el motor del recipiente y qutelo de los soportes. 6. Tras quitar el recipiente, llnelo 2/3 con agua jabonosa caliente. 7. Deje asentar en el recipiente por unos 15 a 20 minutos para cortar la grasa.

Vierta el agua y, de ser necesario, use una esponja de limpieza para frotar el interior del recipiente.

8. Enjuague solo el interior con cuidado y seque bien. Limpie el exterior del recipiente con un pao hmedo y seque con un pao suave o una toalla de papel.

9. No use limpiadores abrasivos en ninguna pieza de la mquina para hacer palomitas de maz.

NOTA: Para evitar que se moje el motor, NUNCA SUMERJA el recipiente en ningn lquido. Nunca coloque las piezas en el lavavajillas. Siempre lave todas las piezas a mano. .
