WARNING Before installing or connecting the unit, please read the following thoroughly for proper use.

WARNING CAUTION MAKE THE CORRECT CONNECTIONS. Failure to make the proper connections may result in fire or product damage. DO NOT ALLOW CABLES TO BECOME ENTANGLED IN SUR- ROUNDING OBJECTS.

INSISTANCE OF INSTALLATION BY AUTHORISED SPECIALIST ALPINE DEALERS

Arrange wiring and cables in compliance with the manual to prevent obstructions when driving. Cables or wiring that obstruct or hang up on places such as the steering wheel, shift lever, brake pedals, etc. can be extremely hazardous.

The installation of this speaker solution requires cutting, modification and alteration of the vehicles sheetmetal and electrical system. As such, we insist on installation by Alpine Authroised Specialist Dealers.

Alpine Electronics is not liable for any incorrect installation, fitment or modification inflicted on the vehicle.

DO NOT OBSTRUCT AIRBAGS OR ANY OTHER SAFETY RELEVANT PARTS OF THE VEHICLE WHILE INSTALLING THE PRODUCT. Doing so may lead to failure of the vehicles safety systems and results in severe injury or death.

USE SPECIFIED ACCESSORY PARTS AND INSTALL THEM SECURELY. Be sure to use only the specified accessory parts. Use of other than designated parts may damage this unit internally or may not securely install the unit in place. This may cause parts to become loose resulting in hazards or product failure. ARRANGE THE WIRING SO IT IS NOT CRIMPED OR PINCHED BY A SHARP METAL EDGE. Route the cables and wiring away from moving parts (like the seat rails) or sharp or pointed edges. This will prevent crimping and damage to the wiring. If wiring passes through a hole in metal, use a rubber grommet to prevent the wires insulation from being cut by the metal edge of the hole.

PRECAUTIONS Its recommended to disconnect the cable from the

(-) battery post before installing this product. This will reduce any chance of damage to the product in case of short-circuit.

Be sure to connect the specified leads according to the diagram. Incorrect connections may cause the unit to malfunction or damage to the vehicles electrical system.

Installations must be carried out indoors only, away from dust and contaminates.

Wiring: Voltage Regulator

81 Enough wire length to converge on each corrosponding wire purpose will be required. ie. USBs to Regulator, LEDs to constant power and door trigger and Speakers to headunit/amplifier.

Speakers USB LED

The LED lights will need enough length to tap into a CONSTANT power source. The POSITITIVE wire needs to run along the door sill to tap into the GROUND wire that comes off the back of the interior light switch in the B pillar.

82

Wiring: LED Lights

Finally find a accesory power source and suitable ground to connect to the Input of the regulator.83

84 Using personally desired method run the wiring harnesses (including +/- Speaker wire)from the doors into the vehicle. Taking note of the recommendations above. Enough slack in the door cards to make the final connections to the exocasing will be required.

53 54

Installation: Front Exocasing

Once the wiring is complete. Mount the assembly to the door. Ensure all plastic push clips are mounted back onto the door card.

With the +/- Speaker wire,+/- USB wire and +/- LED wire routed into the front doors of the vehicle. Terminate them into crimp connectors or solder them to the loose wires on the door/exocasing assembly.

85

86

Installation: Front Exocasing

Attach the Tough Grill. Do this by placing the back edge of the grill into the Pod on a slight angle. Firmly push in each grill clip in a BACK to FRONT order.

With the door card/assembly mounted, secure it with the M6 bolts supplied with the 10mm socket and wrench.87

Reassemble the window control panel and remount the door handle. The Front Exocasing assembly is now installed.89

90

Installation: Rear Exocasing

With the door card/assembly mounted, secure it with the M6 bolts supplied with the 10mm socket and wrench.

Once the wiring is complete. Mount the assembly to the door. Ensure all plastic push clips are mounted back onto the door card.91

92

57 58

Installation: Rear Exocasing

Reassemble the window control panel and remount the door handle. The Front Exocasing assembly is now installed.

Attach the Tough Grill. Do this by placing the back edge of the grill into the Pod on a slight angle. Firmly push in each grill clip in a BACK to FRONT order.93

94

Installation: Tweeter Panel

Feed the +/- Speaker wire through the hole in the dash down towards the kick panel below.

Once the wire is run down into kick panel you can place the tweeter assembly in the dash. Start by manuvouring the back two clips in first. Levering the front downward to seat the tweeter mounting panel.

95

96

59 60

Installation: Tweeter Panel

The Alpine Tweeter is now mounted into the dash.

Test and validate system to ensure proper functionality and fitment. ie; Power to each usb port. Sound from each speaker and proper acitivation of the LED puddle lights.
